Abstract

The aim of the research is to consider the little-studied range of problems of generations’ historical memory in the aspect of value attitudes as well as the contribution of the indigenous minorities of the Far East of Russia to the defeat of Nazi Germany and militaristic Japan. The scientific originality of the work is determined by the fact that the task was solved taking into account the new published sources of recent years and the author’s expedition materials of 2021 involved in the scientific circulation, using the cultural-anthropological and gender approach, descriptive, biographical methods and the method of historical reconstruction. The socio-economic situation of the indigenous minorities during the war is considered. Attention is focused on the material contribution of the aborigines to the common cause of victory over the enemy. The specifics of economic activity and the problems associated with the functioning of the labour potential of the mobilization economy in the region during the war years are shown. An assessment of the true devotion of the aborigines to their homeland is given. Changes in traditional activity are emphasized. The little-known socio-demographic and cultural consequences of wartime are characterized. The problem of strengthening the consolidation of ethnic processes during the war is touched upon. The obtained results showed that the value-based approach does not lose its relevance, and the study can be used not only in scientific research, but also in educational and pedagogical activity.
