Abstract
The inclusion of the ‘Kalina Malina’ DG in the international project of the Erasmus + program on the topic “Little footprints leave low carbon footprint behind“ was motivated by the fact that climate change and environmental protection are signifi cant challenges for the global and Bulgarian society. This necessitates the need to develop and implement appropriate policies regarding a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle, and this can be obtained by implementing a comprehensive approach in the spirit of sustainable development principles to form values and attitudes in children, teachers and parents. As educators, we were faced with the challenge of how to present the topic and activities, because competencies such as ideas, skills and attitudes related to sustainable development in kindergarten are not suffi ciently studied and tested.
