Abstract

Modern Korean literature and Korean women's prose are becoming increasingly popular among foreign readership and foreign researchers beyond the Korean peninsula. At the turn of the second half of the twentieth century, the era of industrialization on the Korean Peninsula, brought to the stage many bright and talented female writers with artistic manifestos of women's prose. Young artists of the word begin to be interested not only in family values, women's destiny, emancipation, but also in the personal lives of the heroes, the uniqueness of the urban structure, gender philosophy. The aim of the article is to study the characteristics of the female image living in the metropolis, to identify its ways of implementation in the work of Kim Eran against the background of changes in Korean society in the 2000s. The choice of the method of literary analysis is determined by the specifics of the studied material and the purpose of the article. In this article, the author uses sociological and descriptive methods of literary analysis in the Korean literary text of the early XXI century. The theme of urbanization, the formation of the Korean metropolis, and its embodiment in works of art is relevant today. However, the problem of the artistic embodiment of urbanization in modern Korean "women's prose" Ukrainian Koreanists have not been able to comprehend and reveal in detail. This article attempts to consider the artistic embodiment of urbanization, which appears in modern Korean "women's prose" of the early XXI century on the example of Kim Eran's story "I'm going to the mini-market." Based on the text of the article, the specifics of Kim Eran's work were analyzed. We are interested in the writer because she speaks a new language, gives birth to new characters, has a particularly organized plot, her writer's position is open, and we see how the author is implemented in her own individual writing practice. Artistic integration of urbanization in Korean women's prose one of the most important tendencies in the development of the literary process, as well as the representation of the national writing itself. The facts, rejected in the course of the analysis of the creation, show that the testimony of the Koreans-city dwellers was changing due to the flow of urbanization on the people of the Korean people, and the price could not fail to be recognized in the mentality of the Korean people in general.
