Abstract
The paper analyzes the problem of protection of underground metal pipelines using active cathodic protection. Shortcomings and emergency situations of active defense complexes are given. Analytical dependences of determining the levels of the protective potential in the conditions of a heterogeneous environment, various variations of the topology of laying the pipeline system are generally presented. The results of comprehensive monitoring of the operation modes of electrotechnical complexes of electrochemical protection allowed to develop a universal methodology for creating energy-efficient and reliable systems of cathodic protection of pipelines.
