Abstract

By the example of Perm province, the article examines the emotional and behavioral aspects of patriotism as a socio-psychological phenomenon during the First World War. Documentary materials have made it possible to reveal the peculiarities of the manifestations of the province inhabitants’ patriotic feelings in the situation of the wartime, to assess the level of patriotic events organization. Patriotically orientated activities created necessary emotional background in the provincial environment, and having turned into a system in 1914, became an effective means of the socio-cultural regulation of the province inhabitants’ behavior.
