Abstract
The article presents the current epidemiological situation of melanoma and other skin malignancies in the Russian Federation. A comparative analytical study of the state of early diagnosis, organization of medical care for the identification of patients with melanoma and other malignant skin neoplasms in the Russian Federation and six subjects of the Ural Federal District was conducted. To improve the indicator of active detection of patients with melanoma of the skin, especially in the early stages, it is necessary to create a system of interaction between doctors of primary contact with the patient and the oncological service, the formation of cancer awareness among doctors of all specialties, as well as among the population.
