Abstract

The study states that the “person - car - road - environment” system (PCRE system) is a poorly structured system. It is shown that the driver with his psychophysiological characteristics and temperament is the main participant influencing the safety of the PCRE system. The socially oriented speed chosen by drivers in a double dimension made it possible to perform experimental calculations of road safety parameters. The search for a possible decreasing accident rate in Moscow car traffic urged the extrapolation of existing road accident into an S-shaped theoretical model with an inflection point in 2026.
