Abstract
The presumption of innocence and a reasonable time of trial are the fundamental guarantees of a person who is a participant in criminal proceedings. The comparative legal analysis examines the legal positions of intergovernmental human rights bodies regarding such elements of the right to a fair trial as the «presumption of innocence» and the «reasonable time of trial».
