Criteria for Selecting Authentic Linguistic and Cultural Texts for Teaching Oral Speech to Students at the Initial Stage of the German Language at a Language University Summary The article is devoted to the study of effective teaching of oral speech of students at the initial stage of studying German in a language university, which depends on the careful selection of authentic linguo-cultural materials. The selection criteria should be focused on the target orientation, methodological approach, authenticity of resources, individualization of training, and a systematic approach. The correct choice of materials plays a key role in the formation of language competence and the successful development of students' oral speech.
