Abstract

The paper describes and analyzes effective means of improving the interhemispheric interaction of children with mental retardation. The method of cerebellar stimulation allows you to most effectively organize the correctional and developmental process in working with children to improve interhemispheric interaction, stabilize behavior, overcome disturbances in the vestibular apparatus (problems in coordination and coordination of movements), improve posture, a sense of balance, develop visual-motor and spatial coordination, correct violations in the development of speech, increase the overall level of intelligence. Children in this category often have behavioral and concentration difficulties. Purposeful development of interhemispheric interaction contributes to the correction, including behavioral disorders. For children with mental retardation, a work program “Neuro-fitness for the mind” was compiled. The article presents a study of the results of the program implementation. This practice shows positive results in working with children with mental retardation.
