Abstract

The article considers an important technological task, since the values of technological dimensions with deviations are entered directly into the technological documentation, and the values of minimum allowances are provided indirectly. The calculated values are necessary information when designing the machining technology. Rational values of operational dimensions are automatically guaranteed only by conducting dimensional analysis based on the theory of dimensional chains. A comparative study of two methods for determining operational dimensions during machining based on dimensional analysis – manual based on the methodology of B.S. Mordvinov and using the program of B.S. Mordvinov RLR. It is concluded that it is possible to guarantee the required design dimensions and tolerances and to establish the causes of defects during machining.
