Abstract

This study draws attention to the real problem of professional burnout among medical professionals, especially those providing emergency care in trauma centres. The aim of the study was to identify factors influencing emotional burnout in doctors and to develop methods for its diagnosis and prevention. The study was carried out in a level 2 trauma centre and the results showed the absence of emotional burnout syndrome in the participants at the time of the study. Correlation analysis revealed the relationship between the level of emotional burnout and individual personal characteristics of the workers. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of development of professional and personal qualities of medical specialists, as well as the need to take into account their inclinations and motivational readiness for successful work and prevention of professional burnout.
