Abstract

A comparative analysis of physical and mathematical models of heating the powder particles during laser deposition of a single roller on the substrate and heating of the powder layer in the carrier gas was performed. The temperature fields in the powder layer and a single roller on the substrate are determined. It is shown that the heated layer of the powder should be considered as a heat source with an uneven temperature distribution in the radial direction.
