Abstract

The article discusses the use of the experience of NATO and EU maritime operations in the period 1992-2018. The EU maritime and transboundary humanitarian operations, NATO blockade and strike operations (in the Adriatic Sea) as well as anti-piracy operations of the naval forces of NATO (EU)-members in the north-western part of the Indian Ocean are analyzed. Based on the analysis, the authors draw conclusions on the justification and feasibility of using the experience gained, in the context of Ukraine’s Naval Forces development.
