Abstract

The study aimed to know the methods of self-management and its impact on the development of strategic leadership in institutions: a field study on the presidency of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation in Khartoum State. Its importance was represented in the need to apply self-management methods as a modern and flexible management method and approach that contributes to the manufacture and development of strategic leaders in business organizations. Its problem was summarized in the low administrative efficiency in some business organizations, the poor optimal use of modern administrative methods in them, the emergence of many problems and challenges, examples of which are poor administrative development, the deterioration of strategic leadership preparation rates, and the decline in performance. different operational and administrative environments. The study relied on the questionnaire as a basic tool in collecting its primary data, and it used the random sample method, where (35) questionnaires were distributed to a number of employees at the Ministry's headquarters, with a recovery rate of (90%) And with an enumeration rate of (16%) of the total number of workers headed by the Ministry. The study also used the descriptive analytical approach, the case study method, and the SPSS program in analyzing its basic data and testing its hypotheses. And reached a set of results, the most important of which are: the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the use of self-management methods and the development of strategic leadership in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation in Khartoum State. There is a weak statistically significant relationship between the use of self-management methods in achieving job satisfaction for human resources at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation in Khartoum State. Finally, the study recommended: the need to use the method of encouraging the presentation of development initiatives by employees through material and moral stimulation processes to contribute to the development of strategic leaders in the ministry. The need to use the method of activating the holding of meetings continuously to facilitate the process of exchanging information and practical and leadership experiences and strengthening the links of effective communication between all employees in the ministry.
