Abstract

This article attempts to present the convergence of the concepts of power and knowledge in postmodern philosophy. The theoretical and practical consequences of this convergence for the humanities in the aspect of finding new ways to explain social reality are analyzed. Some general features of philosophizing peculiar to the postmodern situation are considered. An important place is given to the analysis of the dispositive «power-knowledge» by M.Foucault and biopolitics as a relatively new scientific discipline.
