Abstract

The problem of familiarizing the children with national values in Russia has always been one of the urgent ones, as evidenced by the aggravation and increase of conflicts on ethnic grounds. The reason lies, in our opinion, in the lack of consistency and focus in organizing the process of ethnic education. A methodically integrated approach to ethnic education requires finding systemic links between its individual components. This study is the result of research of one of the particular issues of this problem – the formation of value-based consciousness in preschool children through familiarizing them with the values of national culture. Its effectiveness is possible due to using of innovative forms and ethnoeducational methods in preschool educational organizations, while ensuring the humanistic nature of the interaction of participants in the educational process. Particular attention should be paid to revising the content of educational work on introducing preschool children to national values and the formation of value consciousness.
