Abstract
The article analyses the derivative forms of Russian personal names, which are characterized by national and cultural coloration. It reveals the specificity of derivative anthroponyms at the structural and derivational, expressive-stylistic levels and determines the functional status of these modifiers in the anthroponymic system of the Russian language. The research material is represented by the fictional texts of E. V. Chestnyakov, a Kostroma writer, who widely used anthroponyms in his work most accurately reflecting the significance of Russian personal names in living speech.
