Abstract

This article explored the degree to which the teachers in Emirati public schools employ active learning strategies in the light of receiving distance education during the Coronavirus crisis. It explored the latter degree through adopting a descriptive analytical approach. The population consists from al the teachers in Emirati public schools. The researcher designed a questionnaire. This questionnaire was uploaded to a social media platform (Facebook). It was filled by 423 male and female teachers who teacher in Emirati public schools. Thus, the sample is a random sample. The questionnaire forms were analysed through SPSS and the relevant statistical methods. The researcher found that the degree to which the teachers in Emirati public schools employ active learning strategies in the light of receiving distance education during the Coronavirus crisis is high. That may be attributed to the fact that modern technologies enable teachers to use a variety of teaching methods. The researcher found that the degree to which the teachers employ the dialogue & discussion, conceptual maps, problem –solving, and brainstorming strategies during this crisis is high.
