Abstract
The paper aims to develop a typology of hybrid names of public catering establishments of Tyumen (Russia), Seattle (the USA) and Toulouse (France). The article analyses public catering establishments names in the comparative aspect. As a result of the research, 556 (30%) hybrid names have been identified in Tyumen, 696 (20%) - in Seattle and 413 (18%) - in Toulouse. Scientific originality of the study involves the comparative approach to analysing public catering establishments names. The author for the first time proposes a universal typology of the hybrids nominating public catering establishments in the English, French and Russian languages. As a result, five basic types of hybrids have been identified: structural, syntactical, word-formative, morphological and graphical ones.
