Abstract

The article on the basis of the published memoirs and archival documents of the Museum-Archive of the History of Studying and Exploration of the European North of the Barents Centre of the Humanities of the KSC RAS describes the life and creative way of the book illustrator, graphic artist, inventor of board games for children V. M. Golitsyn — a representative of the younger generation of the princely family Golitsyn, as a typical example of tragic fate of members of Russian aristocratic families in the Soviet state of the first half of 20th century.
