Abstract

The discovery of large deposits of mineral raw materials on the Kola Peninsula has become a prerequisite for development of chemical technologies and their scientific justification. Complex composition is known to be a feature of local raw materials. The technologies developed at the Kola Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences before and after the establishment of the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements and Mineral Raw Materials have been considered. The processing of the raw materials extracted and available to extraction will provide the domestic industry needs in high-tech materials.
