The quail farming industry in Indonesia has recently experienced significant growth, which has led to an increase in demand for quail eggs. This shows substantial challenges in quail egg farming, namely low operational efficiency and high levels of waste in the production process. This study aims to improve operational efficiency by reducing waste in a quail egg farming production at CV. Vigaza uses lean manufacturing and the theory of constraints. Lean tools such as value stream mapping, waste assessment model, and value stream analysis tools are applied to identify the dominant wastes. The theory of constraints is used to determine the root cause using the current reality tree. The process activity value-added ratio has improved from 60.73% to 68.91%, lead time has decreased from 12.1 to 10.99 days, and the defect rate has reduced from 0.68% to below 0.5%. Overproduction is recommended to align production with the market demand rather than the production cycle. Integrating the lean method and the constraint theory effectively reduced waste in a small-scale agricultural production, a quail egg farm. These findings suggest a potential for adopting lean techniques in the agricultural sector in Indonesia. Data imbalance is a significant challenge in risk management, especially in classification tasks where critical events—such as loan defaults, employee attrition, or company bankruptcy—occur less frequently than normal cases. This paper presents a comparative study of eight sampling methods—Random Undersampling (RUS), Random Oversampling (ROS), Edited Nearest Neighbor (ENN), One-Sided Selection (OSS), SMOTE, ADASYN, SMOTEENN, and SMOTETomek—across three imbalanced datasets: Taiwanese Bankruptcy Prediction, IBM HR Analytics Employee Attrition, and Loan Prediction. Using eight machine learning classifiers, the study evaluates performance using F1 Score and Negative Predictive Value (NPV), two metrics suited for imbalanced data. The results reveal that ENN achieves the highest F1 scores in high-dimensional and severely imbalanced datasets, while SMOTE-based methods perform best in large-scale datasets with moderate imbalance. Notably, RUS consistently delivers the highest NPV, highlighting its effectiveness in minimizing false negatives and supporting conservative decision-making. The findings underscore the importance of aligning sampling strategies with dataset characteristics and specific risk management objectives.

Objective vendor selection is crucial for a company as the right decision in choosing a vendor directly impacts service quality, operational cost efficiency, and business continuity. An unmeasured and subjective selection process can lead to risks such as decreased service quality, delays in task completion, and cost overruns, which can significantly harm the company. This study discusses a case study of vendor selection for maintenance at PT Global Sarana Mediakom using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. PT Global Sarana Mediakom is an information technology company specializing in data communication and internet services, with an operational network spanning more than 15 cities. This research focuses on addressing inefficiencies and subjectivity in the maintenance vendor selection process, which has traditionally relied on the lowest price or direct appointment without measurable evaluation. The AHP method is employed to evaluate and select the best vendor based on three main criteria: resource capability, completion time, and maintenance service cost. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires with the company’s management. The data processing results indicate that Vendor A emerged as the best vendor with the highest priority score, followed by Vendor D, Vendor C, and Vendor B. The recommendations from this study include expanding the evaluation criteria and developing an AHP-based decision-support system to enable sustainable vendor management. Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL) has emerged as a critical strategic model for managing complex supply chains in the digital era. This systematic literature review analyzed 38 peer-reviewed articles (2020-2025) from the Scopus database to examine technological advancements and strategic roles of 4PL in supply chain management. Three research questions guided the analysis: optimization technologies supporting 4PL operations, strategic mechanisms improving supply chain outcomes, and cost reduction strategies enabling 4PL adoption. Findings demonstrate that advanced optimization technologies including Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR), stochastic programming, and reinforcement learning effectively manage transportation uncertainty and enhance operational efficiency. Strategic mechanisms such as coordinated ICT infrastructure, sophisticated matching models, and innovative financing arrangements significantly improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Cost reduction and sustainability strategies, including flexible resource management, warehouse optimization, and blockchain implementation, enable organizations to achieve cost reductions up to 38% while maintaining environmental compliance. However, implementation barriers in regulatory compliance, human resource management, and digital infrastructure remain significant challenges. The research concludes that 4PL adoption requires integrated approaches balancing technological innovation with organizational capability development. Future research should prioritize context-specific implementation frameworks for emerging markets, particularly in developing economies such as Indonesia, to address unique supply chain challenges while supporting economic growth and operational resilience. Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) has received increasing attention as a strategy to minimize the environmental impact of the healthcare supply chain. Not only GSCM, but digitalization practices are also believed to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. This study aims to examine the role of digitalization as a reinforcing factor in the effectiveness of GSCM practices for environmental sustainability. This research began with hypothesis preparation, which consisted of three hypotheses. Furthermore, data on the assessment of the relationship between digitalization, green supply chain, and environmental sustainability were collected through questionnaires to Health Clinics in Padang. Data processing was carried out using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 3.0. The processing stages consist of structural model design, measurement model design, path diagram design, model evaluation, hypothesis testing, and IPMA analysis. From the processing results, digitalization and a green supply chain both make significant contributions to environmental sustainability at the Padang Health Clinic. Furthermore, based on IPMA's analysis, the implementation of green supply chain aspects and digitalization in the field has reached 69%. Nonetheless, there is still room for improvement to achieve better environmental sustainability. Therefore, to achieve environmental sustainability, health clinics need to emphasize and implement green supply chain and digitalization indicators. Digital health applications such as Alodokter have become essential platforms for Indonesians to access healthcare services. Although mobile health adoption continues to rise, very few studies have empirically examined how design inefficiencies affect users' ability to navigate between medical and commercial service flows, which may reduce user trust and engagement in digital healthcare platforms. Research evaluating user friction during transitions between medical flows (such as Doctor Chat) and commercial flows (such as Aloshop) within an integrated ecosystem remains limited. This study applies the Task-Based Usability Testing (TBUT) method in the Indonesian digital health context to capture fundamental user interactions beyond perception-based evaluations. The objective is to systematically evaluate the usability level of the Alodokter application by involving real users performing representative tasks across four main flows: Doctor Chat, Appointment Booking, Article Search, and Medicine Purchase through Aloshop. The evaluation employed quantitative metrics (success rate and time on task) and qualitative observation using the Think Aloud Protocol. Results show that the Appointment Booking flow had the lowest usability (success score 1.76), while the Aloshop flow was less efficient, requiring 21 seconds longer than comparable applications. The main issues identified are the lack of insurance information and inefficient cart flow. This study is limited to task-based evaluation and does not include longitudinal analysis of user behavior. These findings provide empirical foundations for data-driven design improvements to enhance user experience and advance usability evaluation methods for hybrid healthcare-commerce platforms in Indonesia.
