Fior di spina: il "Birichino di strada" di Ada Negri

English'Fior di spina'. Ada Negri’s Birichino di · Birichino di initiates a series of socially committed lyrics that Ada Negri include d in Fatalita (1892). The poem introduces the theme of childhood, in compliance with the formal characteristics typical of the collection, such as the allocutory pace and the constant presence ofthe lyrical I. The latter progressively expands until the rascal (birichino) turns into a projection of the poetic voice. The essay proposes a textual analysis of the poem and highlights its links with other poems inside the collection. A sort of ascending climax is thus delineated and, from the interrogatives of Birichino, it reaches a prediction addressed to the little orphan of Vaticinio. Here, the lyrical I entrusts the combined action of poetry and of a childish figure w italianoBirichino di strada da avvio ad alcune liriche di argomento sociale, che Ada Negri inseri in Fatalita (1892). La poesia introduce il tema dell’infanzia, declinandolo secondo alcune caratteristiche formali tipiche della silloge, quali l’andamento allocutorio e la costante presenza dell’io-lirico, che si va progressivamente accentuando fino a fare del birichino una proiezione della voce poetica. Il saggio propone un’analisi del testo e ne evidenzia i legami con altre poesie della raccolta. Si delinea cosi una sorta di climax ascendente che, dagli interrogativi di Birichino, giunge fino alla predizione rivolta al piccolo orfano di Vaticinio, testo in cui l’io lirico affida la possibilita di contrastare gli effetti del fato-sventura all’azione congiunta della poesia e di una figura infantile
