Rušenje granica - tradicionalni sindikati u Srbiji i borba za prava radnika na platformama

This paper highlights the barriers faced by Serbian trade unions in organizing platform workers and adapting to new forms of work. Using qualitative methods, it explores the normative, regulatory, and cultural-cognitive challenges in defining the status of platform workers in the absence of a clear legislative framework regulating platform work. The results empirically support Kathleen Thelen's thesis on the impact of socio-economic factors and the potential for coalition-building on institutional change. The paper emphasizes the need for legislative reforms to clearly define the status of platform workers and create space for unions to adapt to technology-driven changes in the nature of work.

In the digital age, information security is gaining greater importance, especially in dedicated industry. This study investigates the relationship between leadership styles and employees' behaviour compliance with security policies. The aim of the study is to analyze the indirect effect of transformational leadership on employee compliance with security policies, through the benefits of employees' security countermeasure awareness. The HBM model, adapted to dedicated industry, was used. The study involved 300 respondents from four companies. Dependencies between leaders' motivation and employees' awareness of security countermeasure effectiveness were identified. A series of demonstrations in the territory of Arab countries is labelled with the phrase "Arab Spring". The mass character of the civic gathering and the final epilogue were greatly influenced by the means of mass communication, with the dominant position of social networks. At the root of the conflict were social problems in this part of the world and deeply entrenched regimes with large amounts of power. The ultimate goal of this form of civil disobedience was directed towards changes in government. The paper focuses on the countries where the coup occurred, Tunisia and Egypt, but also Syria, as a country with significant unrest and a harsh reaction by the security forces, analyzing the context of the emergence of the unrest, the course of events and the final epilogue.

Recognising ethical challenges in integrating artificial intelligence in education raises many sociological questions. This study aims to identify and classify risks of using artificial intelligence in education with a quantitative assessment of the probability of risk occurrence in relation to the degree of teacher control and artificial intelligence automation according to the Human-Centred model. The theoretical analysis identified 10 risks, which were grouped into four categories. The descriptive statistical analysis based on insights from nine experts indicates that a combination of high control and high automation is most effective in mitigating risks, whereas low control with high automation is the riskiest scenario. Future implications emphasise preventive educational measures for reliable use.

The book deals with the topic of quantophrenia, a growing and finally prevailing practice of the quantification of social sciences through counting papers and, on that basis, measuring their influence via scientific indices, which further creates the need for publishing as many papers as possible in adequate places, while the content quality of those papers falls into the background - the quantity of scientific papers is imposed as quality.

Modern life based on digitalization significantly influences the characteristics of crime, which is the focus of digital criminology as a specific approach to studying criminal phenomena in the digital era. Given the complexity of the phenomenon, the paper emphasizes the importance of considering the aforementioned issue in all dimensions. The victim's perspective is particularly highlighted due to the importance of preventing victimization in the digital space, which is closely related to the issue of adequate criminal law response. The authors point out the importance of continuous monitoring of research results on the state of digital crime, especially in the context of recognizing and incriminating new forms of criminal behaviour. In the digital era, the social response to crime is also transforming, in both of its forms: informal and formal. Analyzing individual aspects of both forms of social response, the authors point out both the positive and negative sides of this transformation.

Today artificial intelligence permeates all the pores of social life, including international relations and security, where the attention of the professional public is primarily drawn in the context of armed conflicts and rivalry of great powers. Scientific research has not sufficiently considered the consequences of its use to civilian-military relations, although it is a key institutional component of defence policy and an important aspect of national security. This study uses the qualitative analysis of available data to monitor the process of the interaction of inherent characteristics of artificial intelligence and great powers0 politics, and by testing the existing theories, it explores why great powers uncritically place artificial intelligence in the function of security and how it will affect civilian-military relations. Moreover, this paper, in line with the already presented research question, analyzes some of the new security dilemmas, such as: military security of society turned outwards vs. internal values, ideologies and institutions. A brief historical context of the phenomenon and its definition determination prove to be indispensable in this example as well in the academic completion of the paper.

The main aim of this study was to examine the frequency of sexting among students in Serbia, as well as its association with attitudes about sexuality and risky sexual behaviour. The study was conducted on a sample of 227 students, aged 18-28 (M= 23.57, SD= 2.81), 45.4% of whom were male. The obtained data showed that 80.2% of respondents participated in some form of sexting. The most common form is receiving someone else's personal sexual content, followed by sending one's own sexual content. Sexual permissiveness is a significant predictor of sending and receiving sexual content, and sex as a sense of togetherness and a tool for achieving goals are predictors of forwarding other people's content and victimization. Risky sexual behaviour can only be predicted by sexual permissiveness. Attitudes towards sexuality are significant predictors of sexting and risky sexual behaviour, but with a small predictive value.

We will review a recently published monograph R. A. Reiss: Neutrality is not possible in the face of crime by Uroš Šuvaković, which was published on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of Archibald Reiss's arrival in Serbia, and 95 years since his death. Although Reiss's scientific and professional contribution is considered to have been largely explored and that it primarily belongs to the domains of forensics and criminology, as well as historical science in relation to testimonies about crimes committed against Serbs during the First World War, Šuvaković's approach is original because he points to sociological dimensions of Reiss's research which have neither been observed in scientific public nor adequately valorized, and that is exactly the value of this book.
