Digital transformation in education requires teachers to adapt to technological advancements, including AI. The integration of AI in teaching and learning offers great potential for creating a more personalized, interactive, and relevant learning experience. However, research shows that the use of AI in secondary schools is still limited because of a lack of understanding and skills among teachers. This Community Service Program (PKM) focuses on enhancing the competencies of teachers at SMAN 12 Semarang by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into teaching. Through training, this program aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and practical skills to utilize AI to develop instructional materials, implement innovative learning strategies, and conduct effective assessments. The methods used include lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and practical training. The methodology employed in this study is a case study. Thirty-three teachers from various subjects participated in this activity. The survey results were analyzed using the mean, standard deviation, and thematic analysis. The survey results indicated that teachers had a positive outlook on using AI to create instructional materials, questions, and assessments. Teachers created AI chatbot prompts that were clear, specific, contextually relevant to learning, and outcome-oriented. This activity has proven to enhance high school teachers' literacy and skills in utilizing AI to create more meaningful and effective learning experiences.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a public health problem that remains a threat, especially in tropical regions like Indonesia. Miruek Lamreudeup Village is an area at high risk of dengue fever transmission due to the environment that supports the breeding of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness through education and concrete actions to prevent dengue fever. The implementation method includes counseling, distribution of abate powder, and distribution of dengue prevention pocket books to 45 participants consisting of heads of families, housewives, and youth. Evaluation was carried out with a pre-test and post-test using a multiple-choice questionnaire. The pre-test results showed that all participants (100%) were in the low knowledge category. After the education, there was a significant increase, with 80% of participants reaching the high knowledge category and 20% the moderate category. In addition to increasing knowledge, this activity also stimulated active community participation in discussions and direct implementation of mosquito larvae control in their respective homes. This activity has proven effective in increasing public awareness and understanding of dengue fever prevention. The suggested follow-up plan includes the formation of jumantik cadres, post-activity monitoring, and collaboration with village governments and health centers to create sustainable prevention efforts.

This community service activity was initiated in response to the limited ability of students at SMKN 3 Kota Tegal to design and analyze electronic circuits, due to inadequate access to industry-standard simulation software. The purpose of this program was to enhance students’ knowledge and skills through training in electronic circuit development using Proteus software. The implementation method consisted of preparation, training sessions, hands-on practice, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Participants included eleventh-grade students from the Electronics Engineering Department and accompanying teachers, who engaged in activities ranging from component introduction, circuit simulation, PCB design, to practical PCB fabrication using CNC machines. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding and technical capabilities, evidenced by an increase in average test scores from 75 to 93, and a 133 percent rise in the number of students achieving top score ranges. Furthermore, a shift was observed in teaching methods, from conventional whiteboard instruction to digitally integrated simulations. In conclusion, the Proteus-based training effectively enhanced students’ technical competencies, bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, and better prepared vocational graduates to meet the demands of a technology-driven industrial environment..

The environment faces many important issues that must be resolved immediately because they can negatively impact various forms of life, including humans. One common problem is the lack of maintenance, which leads to the decline of forest areas and marginal land. Since plants play a vital role in human life, conservation and reforestation efforts are necessary to restore the land and maintain the balance of life. This activity aims to raise environmental awareness among the younger generation through productive plant-based greening activities. Methods include focus group discussions (FGDs), planting on marginal land, and evaluation. This activity was carried out in Jayapura City in collaboration with the Papua Environmental Council (MLH) and the Papua Province chapter of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM). The practical planting activity with productive plants took place on barren land in the Koya Barat area of the Muhammadiyah apartment complex in Jayapura City. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that, before the activity, participants had a good understanding of basic environmental knowledge, reaching 96%. This increased to 100% after the activity. Understanding of protecting the environment and biological resources increased by 26.16%, rising from 76.44% to 96.44%. Understanding of land rehabilitation and reforestation increased by an average of 79.17%, rising from 57.33% to 97.33%. These increases are significant because they demonstrate substantial improvement. Participants responded positively to the material, with 84.8% strongly agreeing and 15.25% agreeing

The quality of water used in daily activities plays a crucial role in supporting health, comfort, and safety, particularly in educational environments. At SDI As Salam, Malang City, groundwater utilized by the school contained very high concentrations of iron (Fe), resulting in a a yellowish color, unpleasant odor, and suspended particles that reduce clarity due to oxidation of dissolved iron into brown or yellow solids, thereby significantly lowering water quality and posing health risks for students who consume it daily. To address this issue, the Doktor Mengabdi Team from Universitas Brawijaya implemented a multi-layer filtration system using affordable local materials such as silica sand, activated carbon, zeolite, and manganese greensand, designed to remove contaminants including dissolved iron, heavy metals, and harmful chemicals. The results showed that iron concentration decreased by more than 80%, turbidity reduced from 30 NTU to 2 NTU, and pH increased from 5.8 to 6.8, while microbiological testing confirmed a significant reduction in E. coli and total coliform, indicating that the filtered water is safe for use. Thus, the application of this multi-layer filtration system not only improves water quality but also creates a healthier environment that supports more effective learning activities.

Mental health is a crucial determinant of overall well-being. In Indonesia, the prevalence of emotional mental disorders among individuals over 15 years old has reached 9.8% of the population. Indonesian diaspora students in China face unique challenges that may increase the risk of mental health decline. This study aimed to describe the mental health status of Indonesian diaspora students in China and to evaluate aromatherapy candle-making activities as a preventive approach to mental health decline. A descriptive qualitative design was employed using a modified and validated version of the World Health Organization-Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5) questionnaire, validated with 10 respondents. Data were collected from Indonesian students through self-administered questionnaires. Additionally, a workshop on aromatherapy candle-making was conducted to explore its potential benefits for mental health improvement. The findings indicated that students experienced negative emotions with a mean score of 3.41 ± 0.95, self-satisfaction with 3.41 ± 0.73, concentration with 3.45 ± 0.80, and body image perception with 3.68 ± 0.95. Most participants expressed interest in aromatherapy candles, perceiving them as beneficial for mental relaxation and emotional well-being. Indonesian diaspora students in China demonstrated tendencies toward feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, anxiety, and depression. Aromatherapy candle-making activities provided a promising alternative approach to mental relaxation, although further research is needed to determine their effectiveness in improving overall mood and mental health.
