Knowledge-sharing Behaviour Through Leadership and Culture: The Moderating Role of Job Autonomy and Gender
  • Nov 4, 2025
  • FIIB Business Review
  • Md Asadul Islam + 4 more

This study examines how participative leadership, digital leadership and digital organizational culture influence employees’ knowledge-sharing behaviour and how these are moderated by job autonomy and gender in Malaysia. Responses from 412 employees were collected from various organizations in the tourism sector. The data analysis was conducted through PLS-SEM to test hypotheses. Participative leadership, digital leadership and digital organizational culture were found to have a significant influence on the knowledge-sharing behaviour of employees. Our results also showed that job autonomy significantly moderates the relationship between digital organizational culture and knowledge-sharing behaviour. The research revealed that gender does not moderate the influence of participative leadership, digital leadership and digital organizational culture on knowledge-sharing behaviour. The study significantly contributes to strategically deploying technology in an increasingly digital business world. The study has important theoretical and practical implications, which are presented together with suggestions for further research.

Money, Metropolis and Mindsets: Mapping the Dynamics of Investors’ Financial Behaviour and Satisfaction
  • Sep 26, 2025
  • FIIB Business Review
  • Apoorva Singh + 1 more

The study investigates the key determinants of financial satisfaction among investors in India’s two leading metropolitan cities. Employing structural equation modelling, the research integrates the expectation confirmation model (ECM) and evaluative congruity theory (ECT) to examine the factors influencing financial satisfaction among 575 investors. The proposed model analyses both direct and indirect relationships through mediation and moderation techniques. Findings reveal that investors’ perceptions, financial socialization and metropolis investment opportunities impact financial behaviour, which, in turn, enhances financial satisfaction. Moreover, financial self-efficacy positively moderates the relationship between financial behaviour and satisfaction, whereas inflation weakens the relationship. The study offers valuable insights for financial professionals, investors, policymakers and educational institutions by emphasizing the dynamic interplay between individual, social and environmental factors in shaping financial behaviour and satisfaction. The study contributes to the theoretical development of financial satisfaction models by extending and integrating the ECM and ECT into a comprehensive conceptual framework.

Why Does Accessing Financial Information on Mobile Devices Lead to Irrational Investment Judgements? Multi-analytic Insights from PLS-SEM and ANN
  • Aug 15, 2025
  • FIIB Business Review
  • Sushma Verma + 2 more

This study investigates how using mobile phones to access investment-related information leads to a distracted frame of mind, overconfidence bias and confirmation bias, ultimately resulting in irrational investment judgement. The study incorporated the moderation effect of the fear of missing out on investment-related information (I-FoMO). The data were collected from 331 non-professional retail investors and analysed using a multi-analytic, two-staged approach comprising partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) and artificial neural network (ANN). The study identifies a statistically significant positive association of mobile phone usage with a distracted frame of mind and overconfidence bias. Confirmation bias is the most significant predictor of irrational investment judgement. The study also confirms the significant moderating role of I-FoMO in various hypothesized relationships. With their significant implications for rationalizing investment judgement, the study results shed new light on the impact of mobile device use on investment decisions.

Continuance Intention of m-Banking Adoption: The Dynamics of UTAUT3, Trust and Attitudes
  • Jul 31, 2025
  • FIIB Business Review
  • Sofiane Laradi + 4 more

Users’ retention is always considered an essential goal for the commercial success of m-banking service providers, yet limited attention has been given to understanding users’ continuance intention. This study explores the factors contributing to the continuance intention to use m-banking services by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 3 (UTAUT3) model. The current study employed a survey-based methodology to analyse responses from 375 actual users of mobile-banking (m-banking) services. The partial least-squares structural equation modelling statistical approach was employed to assess the constructs and test the study hypotheses. The findings reveal that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, price value, habits, personal innovativeness and trust positively affect users’ attitudes towards m-banking services. However, facilitating conditions and social influence do not affect attitudes. Furthermore, trust and attitudes account for a significant portion of the variance in continuance intention to adopt m-banking services. This study expands existing theoretical frameworks on continuance intention by being the first to validate the applicability of UTAUT3 in m-banking services. It further extends the model by incorporating trust as an endogenous variable and attitudes as a mechanism variable. This study also provides practical insights for bank managers and policymakers aiming to retain users.

The Mediating Role of Leader–Member Exchange and Ingratiation in the Relationship Between Self-Monitoring and Job Satisfaction: A Mixed Method Study
  • Jul 10, 2025
  • FIIB Business Review
  • Preeti S Rawat + 4 more

The purpose of the study was to understand how followers as self-monitors use ingratiation for stronger leader–member exchange (LMX) leading to job satisfaction. The study attempts to show that in an interpersonal setting, the followers will actively attempt to have strong LMX with the leader, and ingratiation will be a useful tool. The research design used concurrent mixed method approach for the triangulation of results. The quantitative study using PROCESS MACRO (model 6) and a sample size of 405 showed serial mediation of ingratiation and LMX. The qualitative study using thematic analysis (sample size = 47) showed that subordinates actively indulge in LMX for stronger bonding with the leader. Triangulation with the qualitative data was added to the methodological rigour in the study. The practical implications of the study lie in looking at the relationship from a followership perspective as to how subordinates, using ingratiation and strong LMX, would enjoy proximity to the leader and greater organizational visibility. The study is unique because first it studies LMX from a subordinate’s perspective’ and second, because it studies self-monitoring which is less researched than other personality dimensions.
