Preface

The 2020 11th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (ICEST 2020) was held as virtual conference during November 19-21, 2020 due to recent pandemic. The decision to hold the virtual conference was made by conference committees in compliance with many travel restrictions and regulations that were imposed by countries all over the world. The health and safety of our participants and members is top priority to the conference organization. Therefore, worldwide participants have attended this online conference by zoom application and finished their oral presentations successfully.Conducted by the organizing committees in Beijing, there are around 70 participants in total and they are from UK, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, Japan, Romania, China, Thailand and so on. ICEST 2020 is supported by Beijing Normal University (BNU), Xiamen University of Technology (XMUT), International Society for Environmental Information Sciences (ISEIS), South-South Collaborative and Sustainable Development Center (SSCSDC), and Fujian Smart City Association (FSCA). This three-day conference focused on the research fields in environmental science and technology. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and development activities in environmental science and technology. Another goal is to promote scientific information interchange among researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in China and abroad.During the conference, the conference model was divided into mainly two parts, including keynote speakers and oral presentations. In the first part, we invited internationally well-known experts to deliver speeches as keynote speakers. They are Prof. Yongping Li from Beijing Normal University, China; Assoc. Prof. Farhad Shahnia from Murdoch University, Australia; Prof. Guilin Zheng from Wuhan University, China; Prof. Wei-Jen Lee from University of Texas at Arlington, USA; Assoc. Prof. S. M. Muyeen from Curtin University, Australia; Prof. Zhijun Peng from University of Bedfordshire, UK. In the second part, each scholar was given 12 minutes to perform their oral presentation and 3 minutes for Q&A. All papers presented at the 2020 11th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (ICEST 2020) are included in this volume, which contains four chapters with topics: (1) Hydrology and Water Resources Management, (2) Solid Waste Treatment and Soil Pollution Assessment, (3) Energy Saving and Emission Reduction, (4) Building Climatology and Bioclimatology. All papers are subjected to peer-review by conference committee members and international reviewers. The papers are selected based on high quality and high relevancy to the conference scope.We would like to express our gratitude to all individuals and organizations who supported the ICEST 2020. Their helps and contributions are of great importance to the success of this conference. In addition, we would like to thank the organizing committee for its valuable inputs in shaping the conference program and reviewing the submitted papers. We sincerely hope that the ICEST 2020 turned out to be a forum for excellent discussions that enabled new ideas to come about and promoted collaborative research works. On account of the serious situation of COVID-19, the 2020 2nd International Conference on Resources and Environmental Research (ICRER 2020) was held as virtual conference during November 19-21, 2020. Travel restrictions were made to minimize the risk of people spreading the COVID-19 through physical contact. Therefore, conference committees decided to hold ICRER 2020 by Zoom application and it aims to provide a platform for Resources and Environmental Research fields to share views and experiences.ICRER 2020 is co-organized by Xiamen University of Technology, supported by South-South Collaborative and Sustainable Development Center and International Society for Environmental Information Sciences (ISEIS). This three-day conference focused on the research fields in Resources and Environmental Research. Environmental Resources refer to the environment as a whole as the sum of resources. All kinds of natural resources, including water, air, land, animals and plants, minerals and their combination of various states, are the material basis for human survival and development. Irrational development and utilization of environmental resources have led to increasingly serious damage, such as water resource shortage and pollution, ozone layer destruction, soil desertification, forest area reduction and the imminent exhaustion of some rare species and minerals, which will have a corresponding impact on human social progress and economic development.The conference is an international conference for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of Resources and Environmental Research. The conference has brought together more than 70 leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from Indonesia, Portugal, Australia, Canada, Japan, Romania, China, Thailand, Italy, Argentina, UK and so on. Six distinguished experts in total have given their 35 minutes’ speech as keynote speakers for the conference. They are Prof. Yongping Li from Beijing Normal University, China; Assoc. Prof. Farhad Shahnia from Murdoch University, Australia; Prof. Guilin Zheng from Wuhan University, China; Prof. Wei-Jen Lee from University of Texas at Arlington, USA; Assoc. Prof. S. M. Their insightful speeches had triggered heated discussion during keynote speech session of the conference. In addition, each presenter was allocated 12 minutes to deliver speech and 3 minutes for Q&A one by one. How extraordinary periwinkles withstand extreme heat

Life might seem to be less eventful for the tenacious creatures that carve out life on the rocky sea shore once the tide has receded, but looks can be deceptive. Once the tide has gone on sunny days, many molluscs are at risk of baking in the sun. But the heat holds little fear for one species making a living on the southern coast of China. ‘The rocky intertidal periwinkle snail, Echinolittorina malaccana, is one of the most heat-tolerant eukaryotes, with an upper lethal thermal temperature of near 55°C’, says Yun-wei Dong from Ocean University of China. So how do these masters of heat deal with wilting conditions? And how hot does it really get once the surf has departed? Intrigued by the molluscs’ robust reputation, Dong, with colleagues from Xiamen University and his own institution, set about finding out just how hot knobbly periwinkles get.First, Dong secured iButton thermometers alongside the hardy snails on their rocky shore homes for 3 months during the summer in 2014 and was impressed to see that the average temperature generally hovered around 32°C. However, the temperatures did creep much higher from time to time and on one occasion even exceeded an extraordinary 53°C. But what effect did these high temperatures have on the mini molluscs’ beating hearts?Warming the snails gradually from 25°C, the team discovered that the heat really set the periwinkles’ hearts racing, first hitting a high of ∼42 beats min–1 at 37°C before reaching a second high of ∼67 beats min–1 at 52°C, after which they began to fail. ‘According to the heart beat curve of E. malaccana, metabolic depression occurs from ∼37°C to ∼45°C’, says Dong, adding that this reduction in metabolic rate helps the snails to survive at intermediate temperatures.The team then tracked the compounds produced in the snails’ bodies as a result of their metabolism and realised that the hardy molluscs switched from running their metabolism on oxygen at lower temperatures to other sources of energy for anaerobic metabolism at temperatures above 37°C. ‘High temperature and hypoxia [low oxygen] commonly co-occur in intertidal molluscs’, says Dong, explaining that shifting to anaerobic metabolism as the temperature soars allows the periwinkles to continue meeting their energy demands as their oxygen supplies dwindle.In addition, the team noticed that the snails produced a range of compounds that protect them from the damaging effects of heat. They included molecules that mop up toxic forms of oxygen – reactive oxygen species – that are produced by stress, modified lipids that improve the stability of cell membranes at high temperatures and a range of small molecules that protect proteins from damage. ‘This thermophilic species thus can deploy a wide array of adaptive strategies to acclimatise to extremely high temperatures’, says Dong.Having revealed the physiological mechanisms that underpin the periwinkle's extraordinary resilience, Dong and his team are eager to discover how the modest mollusc's genome has adapted to permit them to endure such extreme temperatures. But he is also concerned about their future. ‘We will apply these physiological traits in a species distribution model for predicating species biogeographic pattern in the context of climate change’, says Dong.

In order to meet the health and safety needs of our attendees and staff, the 2021 International Conference on Agriculture Science and Water Resource (ASWR2021) which was scheduled to be held in Guangzhou, China, was held virtually online during January 22nd-25th, 2021. Being different from the traditional gatherings we all know, this virtual conference allows us to connect in new ways while keeping expenditure saving and maintaining social distancing. Presentations of presenter from different countries are accessible to hundreds of researchers effectively.Closely related to life, agricultural science and water resource have always been hot research topics and are gaining more and more attention from various countries. Agricultural production depends to a large extent on limited resources such as soil, water, nutrients and energy. At the same time, the misconduct usage of water resources brings about the increasingly prominent environmental problems. The conference was divided into two parts: keynote speeches and oral presentations. In the keynote speeches part, three keynote speeches with allocated time about 45 minutes each were delivered by Prof. Jiří Jaromír Klemeš, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic; Prof. Defu Zhang, Xiamen University, China and Assoc. Prof. Wenchao Li, Hebei Agricultural University, China. Their insightful speeches gave our participants great inspiration. In the oral presentations part, experts and practitioners interested in Agriculture Science and Water Resource were given about 10 minutes to present their oral presentations to discuss state-of-the-art research results, perspectives of future developments, and innovative applications of their research.The conference ASWR2021 focuses on the discussion of the various aspects of agriculture, water resource, animal science, plant science and soil science. Some submitted manuscripts within the scope of the conference, which representing the advanced studies, were selected as the excellent papers and complied in the Conference Proceedings. Every accepted paper has undergone peer review process arranged by the Editorial Committee. At least two independent reviewers should review and approve a paper. If reviewers had different opinion on it, more reviewers would be selected to help make a final decision. We believe that the Proceedings will serve as an important research source to provide recent development and information related to agriculture, water resources and environment protection.On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all authors and presenters. Reflections on construction of the experimental course system for environmental science in colleges and universities

The training effects of experimental courses determine the practical abilities of undergraduate students. Therefore, it is essential to establish a comprehensive experimental course system that adapts to the undergraduate education of environmental science. Here, we introduce the "basic-specialized-comprehensive" experimental course system of Xiamen University, which is established following the principles of being systematic, comprehensive, and modular. To establish this course system, we first increased the investment of lab facilities and enhanced the management of student labs. Then, we improved the contexts of teaching and training according to the requirements of industry and society. Showing how this course system is developed stepwise and the training effects of this system, we hope to provide a reference for the experimental courses of environmental science in colleges and universities.

Comparative analysis of immunofluorescence double staining for foamy macrophages and Mycobacterium tuberculosis in paraffin-embedded tissue of clinical tuberculous wound

Objective: To observe the effect of immunofluorescence double staining for foamy macrophages and Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in paraffin-embedded tissue of clinical tuberculous wound, in comparison with three routine staining methods. Methods: The experimental method was used. From April 2019 to May 2020, 10 patients with tuberculous wound (5 males and 5 females, aged 28-77 years) meeting the inclusion criteria were treated in the Department of Burns and Plastic & Wound Repair Surgery of Xiang'an Hospital of Xiamen University. The paraffin-embedded wound tissue were collected during extended debridement and preserved in the Department of Pathology of this hospital. Forty paraffin sections were made from the wound tissue of each patient. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, immunohistochemical staining, Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining, immunofluorescence double staining were performed respectively, with 10 sections in each method. The section rejection rate of four staining methods were calculated. The recognition and detection of wound granuloma tissue in the four staining methods were observed and counted, and the recognition and detection of foamy macrophages in the wound tissue stained with four methods were observed. The MTB detection in the wound granuloma tissue and non-granuloma tissue in the four staining methods were compared. The subtyping and distribution of foamy macrophages and detection rate of MTB in the wound granuloma tissue and non-granuloma tissue, the morphologic clarity of foamy macrophages, as well as the non-specific staining rate and the loss rate of positive reaction of MTB and foamy macrophages by Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining were compared with those of immunofluorescence double staining. Data were statistically analyzed with Fisher's exact probability test, one-way analysis of variance, independent sample t test and Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: The section rejection rate of HE staining, immunohistochemical staining, Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining, and immunofluorescence double staining were 3% (3/100), 1% (1/100), 6% (6/100), and 2% (2/100), respectively. There was no statistically significant difference among the four groups (P=0.26). All the four staining methods could identify granuloma tissue, and the number of granuloma structures was similar (F=1.284, P=0.28). All the four staining methods were able to identify foamy macrophages in the wound tissue, which was detected in each section. No MTB was observed in the wound granuloma tissue or non-granuloma tissue by HE staining or immunohistochemical staining. MTB was observed distributing in the wound granuloma tissue and non-granuloma tissue by Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining and immunofluorescence double staining, and most MTB distributed in the wound granuloma tissue. Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining could not distinguish foamy macrophages engulfed MTB from that non-engulfed MTB. Immunofluorescence double staining showed that foamy macrophages engulfed MTB mostly distributed in the wound granuloma tissue, and the foamy macrophages non-engulfed MTB mostly distributed in the wound non-granuloma tissue. The detection rates of MTB in wound granuloma and non-granuloma tissue in immunofluorescence double staining were (89.00±0.08)% and (82.67±0.05)%, respectively, which were significantly higher than (54.56±0.14)% and (44.44±0.13)% in Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining (t=-12.495, -7.961, P<0.01). Compared with that of Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining, immunofluorescence double staining showed better foamy macrophages clarity in wound tissue (Z=-3.162, P<0.01). The nonspecific staining rate and positive reaction loss rate of MTB and foamy macrophages in wound tissue of immunofluorescence double staining were (9.11±0.07)% and (9.22±0.07)%, respectively, which were significantly lower than (20.67±0.06)% and (44.00±0.12)% of Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining (t=4.569, 15.519, P<0.01). Conclusions: Compared with HE staining, immunohistochemical staining, and Ziehl-Neelsen and immunohistochemical double staining, the immunofluorescence double staining is easy to operate, giving clear and intuitive images. It allows accurate imaging co-localization of MTB and foamy macrophages in paraffin-embedded tissue of clinical tuberculous wound.

Predictive Value of Active Sacroiliitis in MRI for Flare Among Chinese Patients with Axial Spondyloarthritis in Remission.

IntroductionIn recent axSpAx patients with remission lasting at least 3 months and later followed-up monthly for a median of 8 months, we compared the predictive value of baseline MRI of sacroiliac joints and constructed a nomogram model for predicting flare.MethodsThis study included 251 patients with axial spondyloarthritis, according to the ASAS axSpA classification criteria, who achieved Low Disease Activity (ASDAS) and underwent MRI examination. A total of 144 patients from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University were used as the nomogram training set; 107 from the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University were for external validation.ResultsThe median time of relapse was 8.705 months (95% CI 8.215–9.195) and 7.781 months (95% CI 7.075–8.486) for MRI-positive patients and 9.8 months (95% CI 9.273–10.474) for MRI negative patients, respectively. Both active sacroiliitis on MRI (HR 1.792, 95% CI 1.230–2.611) and anti-TNF-α treatments (HR 0.507, 95% CI 0.349–0.736) were significantly associated with disease flares. Gender, disease duration, HLA-B27, MRI, and anti-TNF-α treatment were selected as predictors of the nomogram. The areas under the ROC curve (AUROCs) of the 1-year remission probability in the training and validation groups were 0.71 and 0.729, respectively. Nomogram prediction models present better AUROCs, C-indices, and decision curve analysis cure than the clinical experience model.ConclusionsActive sacroiliitis in MRI requires weighting in order to estimate remission and disease flares, when axSpA patients achieve low disease activity. Cluster Preface: Radicals – by Young Chinese Organic Chemists

(left) received his B.S. degree from Xiamen University in 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Pei-Qiang Huang, and his Ph.D. degree from the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. Guo-Qiang Lin. After postdoctoral research at ­Gakushuin University, Japan with Prof. Takahiko Akiyama, he moved to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, working as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. John R. Falck and Prof. Chuo Chen. He was appointed as a professor at Soochow University, China in December 2013. He is currently the Head of the Organic Chemistry Department at Soochow University. His current research interests include radical-mediated transformations, in particular radical ­rearrangements, and their applications in the construction of natural products and biologically active compounds. Xin-Yuan Liu (right) obtained his B.S. degree from Anhui Normal University (AHNU) in 2001. He continued his research studies at both the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), CAS and AHNU under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Shizheng Zhu and Prof. Dr. Shaowu Wang, obtaining his master’s degree in 2004. After a one-year stint in Prof. Gang Zhao’s laboratory at SIOC, he joined Prof. Dr. Chi-Ming Che’s group at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and earned his Ph.D. degree in 2010. He subsequently undertook postdoctoral studies in Prof. Che’s group at HKU and in Prof. Carlos F. Barbas III’s group at The Scripps Research Institute. At the end of 2012, he began his independent academic career at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and was promoted to a tenured Full Professor of SUSTech in 2018. His research interests are directed towards the design of novel chiral anionic ligands to solve radical-involved asymmetric reactions.

A golden decade for ocean science (2021-2030): from knowledge to solutions and actions.

‘It is planning, it is science, it is management, and it is a huge change of human relations with the ocean.’ As introduced by Dr Vladimir Ryabinin, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Executive Secretary and Assistant Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (the Decade, 2021–2030) got underway this January.To echo that, on 14 January 2021, a Special Forum on the Decade was held in hybrid mode as part of the Fifth Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Science (XMAS-V) in Xiamen University, China. The Forum was organized to promote the Decade through insightful talks and in-depth discussions with international and regional representatives who have been actively involved in the planning of the Decade. In addition to Dr Ryabinin, Zhanhai Zhang, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, gave an inspiring opening speech. What followed were presentations by invited speakers. They then joined a panel discussion chaired by Dr Minhan Dai from Xiamen University. This article is edited and re-organized from the record of this Special Forum.Panellists. Energy transport and diffusion in low-dimensional lattices

Scientific studies in many disciplines have entered the low-dimensional mesoscopic world. This creates a valuable chance for not only improving near-equilibrium statistical mechanics, but also investigating the foundations of statistical mechanics, establishing thermodynamics and statistical mechanics for small systems, and developing the theory of nonequilibrium systems far from the equilibrium state. Predicting transport coefficients, as a main task of the near-equilibrium statistical mechanics, was formally fulfilled in the 1960-1970s, Green-Kubo formula which bridges the states of equilibrium and nonequilibrium. The Green-Kubo formula has played a crucial role in understanding nonequilibrium transport processes though so far only qualitatively, as the exact values of a systems transport coefficients cannot be worked out explicitly given the systems Hamiltonian. A quantitative description of transport behavior, therefore, is still required. Specifically, the “last mile” problem remains unsolved, and is still the bottleneck of near-equilibrium theory. Encouragingly, though, achievements in recent years may lead to a breakthrough in the near future. On one hand, the rapid development of computing technology has made it possible to effectively investigate the dynamics of nonlinear lattices, providing an important method of studying transports; on the other hand, various low-dimensional materials have now been synthesized in laboratories. With the help of advanced measurement and testing techniques, it has also become possible to perform experimental studies of transport in low-dimensional systems; theoretical results can be checked directly, which could in turn stimulate new ideas for improving theories. In addition, some theoretical approaches, such as nonlinear fluctuation hydrodynamics and wave turbulence theories, have been successfully applied to transport and diffusion studies—there are more effective theoretical tools available now than ever before. We therefore anticipate a first-principle formula that gives transport coefficients explicitly by solving the Green-Kubo formula based on microscopic dynamics. In the last four decades, thermal transport and diffusion in one-dimensional lattices has been studied intensively and extensively by researchers all over the world, and many insights have been obtained. In this work, we review the advances made by the group in Xiamen University—the most important of which being the discovered relation between heat conduction behavior and symmetry of internal interaction potential. We find that the latter both affects the exponent of the power-law decaying tail of the thermal current correlation function (TCCF) that characterizes hydrodynamic transport and dominates rapid decay behavior due to the kinetic process. When the potential is asymmetric, at certain temperatures and nonlinear interaction strength regions, the TCCF may decay by several orders due to the kinetic process exclusively, resulting in system size-independent heat conductivity such that the Fourier heat conduction law is obeyed formally. In contrast, when the potential is symmetric, though the TCCF still undergoes rapid decay in the kinetic process stage, the rate of decay rate can be much lower than exponential, leading to a system size-dependent heat conductivity. If, besides internal interactions, the system is also subject to any on-site potentials, its heat conductivity will converge to a finite constant, as the total momentum is not conserved in this case, and the TCCF in general only decays exponentially. These findings demonstrate that the kinetic process plays a crucial role not only in a fluid, but also in a lattice, which must be taken into account for calculating transport coefficients; in other words, a complete transport theory must be established on the basis of both kinetics and hydrodynamics. In addition, we review the general laws followed by the energy equipartition process in lattices and their deep connections with the transport behavior, in addition to several novel effects observed in coupled transport.

DEK overexpression is predictive of poor prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.

IntroductionThe DEK gene encodes a nuclear phosphoprotein which is involved in multiple cell metabolic processes, such as DNA damage repair, mRNA splicing, modifying chromatin structure and transcription regulation. DEK has been shown to be overexpressed in various solid human tumors and associated with patient prognosis. In this study, our aim was to investigate DEK protein expression and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters and prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).Material and methodsTissue samples were collected from 120 routinely diagnosed ESCC patients who underwent surgical resection at the Zhongshan Hospital, Xiamen University in the period from June 2011 to May 2013. The expression of DEK was determined by immunohistochemistry.ResultsDEK protein was ubiquitously distributed in the nucleus of ESCC cells, and its positive rate (71.7%) was significantly higher in cancer samples than those of para-carcinoma (21.4%) or normal esophageal (13.9%) tissues (p < 0.001). Similarly, significantly more cells overexpressing DEK were found in ESCC tissues (57.5%) in comparison with para-carcinoma samples (11.4%) and normal esophageal mucosa (0%, p < 0.001). The DEK overexpression rate was significantly different between patients with different tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) stages and differentiation degrees (p < 0.001). ESCC cases with elevated DEK amounts showed reduced disease-free and 5-year survival rates compared with those expressing low DEK amounts (p < 0.001). DEK overexpression was also confirmed to independently predict prognosis in ESCC (HR = 4.121, 95% CI: 1.803–9.42, p = 0.001).ConclusionsDEK expression is positively correlated with reduced survival in ESCC patients. DEK has potential to be an independent biomarker in predicting prognosis of ESCC patients.

Development and validation of a nomogram for steroid-resistance prediction in immune thrombocytopenia patients

ABSTRACT Objectives Corticosteroid is first-line therapy in immune thrombocytopenia. However, nearly 30% of patients appear in steroid-resistance. Our research analyses the relevant indicators of patients and develops a risk prediction model to predict the poor response to steroid-therapy in ITP patients. Methods We collected data from 111 ITP patients admitted to Xiamen University Zhongshan Hospital from 2013 to 2019 as the training cohort and 65 ITP patients during 2019–2020 as the external validation cohort. Screening significant factors(P < 0.05) in univariate analysis, and further identified to be independent variables in multivariable logistic regression analysis. Incorporated the significant risk factors in and presented them with a nomogram based on independent risk predictors. The nomogram was assessed by receiver operating characteristics curves and decision curve analysis. Results We constructed a steroid-resistance prediction model based on the potential predictors including age, serum ferritin and expression of HBsAg. As a result, based on the area under the ROC curves, the training cohort (AUC: 0.718, 95% CI: 0.615–0.821) and the external validation cohort (AUC:0.799,95%CI:0.692–0.905), which displayed good discrimination. The decision curve showed that predicting the steroid-refractory risk in ITP patients using this nomogram with a range of the threshold probability between >16% and <70%. The nomogram appears good performance in predicting steroid-refractory ITP patients. Conclusion Prediction model shows that elder patients with a high level of ferritin and positive expression of HBsAg may appear a high possibility of steroid-resistance. For these patients, TPO-RAs can be considered to help patients to get better treatment effects and develop a better health-related quality of life.

Research on Task-Based Workbook for Developing English Language Speaking Skills of First Year College EFL Students

This study was taken with an ardent goal to produce a task-based workbook for developing English language speaking skills of first year college EFL students in China. The existing instructional materials were analyzed in the study which reveals the shortage of them to teach speaking skills for first year college EFL students in Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College. Based on the need, a task-based workbook was produced, which was modified and improved based on the evaluation of college English teachers and experts. The finalized workbook is ready to be utilized in teaching speaking skills for the first year college EFL students.
