AC Contactor Electromagnetic Mechanism Dynamic Simulation Study

In this paper, we study the application of Maxwell 3D and ADAMS software for simulation and analysis of electromagnetic system, with UG software for AC contactor and main contact system of electromagnetic system. We then study the influence of harmonic on type CJX2-40 AC contactor main contact system and operation characteristics. To establish a three-dimensional finite element model of electromagnetic mechanism of AC contactor, we take Maxwell 3D software, on the model of finite element mesh, the calculation of different closing sine excitation and containing under harmonic excitation angle electromagnetic system. For the static and dynamic characteristics of AC contactor, static magnetic field distribution and the suction characteristic curve drawing, we do a comparative study of the results of the simulation, analysis of the influence of harmonics on the AC contactor motion characteristics.

Turbine Blade CNC Machining Simulation Analysis Based on MATLAB and UG

As a key component of turbine, the surface of turbine blade is usually designed to distorted variable cross-section surface, and the shape is very complex. This paper combines NURBS modeling theory and NC machining method, and use NC machining trajectory generation and simulation analysis by means of UG software. The results show that the method is effective for blade processing, and have a guiding role to the industrial production.

The Simulation and Optimization on Flow Field in Intake Port of Engine Based on RE and CFD

Intake port is an important part of the gasoline engine, its structure will influence the gas flow characteristics which directly affects the performance of the engine [1]. In this paper, three-dimensional CFD calculation and structural optimization were used to research the performance of gasoline engine. Firstly, the method of laser scanning and UG software were used to reverse modeling engine exhaust port and get the three-dimensional model. Secondly, after setting boundary conditions and turbulence models, the air flowing through the intake ports were simulated by FLUENT software respectively. Finally, based on numerical methods, the pressure field, velocity field were shown. The results of the simulation of flow field characteristics analysis show that the simulation and experimental results are in good agreement.

The Finite Element Analysis of Mining Dump Truck Frame

Mining Dump truck frame is a key part of the vehicle, in this paper the finite element model of the frame was built in UG software, and then the model was imported into ANSYS Workbench. The paper carried on the statics analysis of the frame under the bending and the torsion condition, and carried on modal analysis under a free state. Through the results of analysis, the design requirements such as the stress condition and each order natural frequency of the frame were verified.

Cold and Thermal Flow Field Analysis of Gasoline Engine Exhaust Port Based on CFD and RE

Exhaust passage is a significant part of the gasoline engine, its structure will affects the gas flow characteristics of the engine directly [1]. So, research and analysis of the exhaust tract is essential. In this paper, a detailed analysis of the flow field under cold state and hot state was made. For a start, the method of laser scanning and UG software were used to reverse modeling engine exhaust port and get the three-dimensional model. The next, the unstructured grid with local mesh refinement scheme was used to mesh this three-dimensional model with ICEM. After this, numerical simulations of the exhaust passage with five different valve lifts were carried out under thermal and cold conditions. Finally, comparing the velocity field and pressure field of the exhaust passage under cold state and thermal state, it can be find that the flow field under hot and cold state have similar characteristics. The results of this paper can provide a theoretical basis for following researches of the engine exhaust port.

Design of Konjac Planting Machine

In order to improve the konjak planting scale and operation efficiency, the paper designed a special application of konjac seeder in conjac plantation, the konjac planter can complete ditching, land shaping, seeding, soil covering and other operations, especially solving the problem how to make the after seed sowing isometric placement in the ditch and ensure the key problem buds are inclined .In this paper, based on the UG software, completed the simulation of 3D model design for the konjac seed metering and land shaping device two working parts.

Finite Element Modal Analysis on the Drive Axle Housing of Heavy Truck

Drive axle housing is an important part in heavy truck. 3D model of the axle housing was made by software UG. The finite element model of automobile drive axle housing was built with simulation software NX.NASTRAN and the finite element modal analysis was achieved. 1-6 order natural vibration frequencies were got under three kinds of working condition which were the maximum traction force, the maximum vertical force and the maximum lateral force. The vibration frequency was far greater than the natural frequency in the actual work. The security of the drive axle housing has been validated.

Joint Application of UG/ADAMS/ANSYS in the Analysis of Landing Gear

The landing gear occupies an important position in the design, manufacture and use of the aircraft. But it spends a lot of time and resources in a real experiment. The rapid development of computer simulation technology makes it possible to have a virtual analysis of the landing gear. Based on typical CAD software UG, finite element simulation software ANSYS and virtual prototyping software ADAMS, a mixed rigid-flexible nose landing gear model is constructed in this paper. The joint application will play their advantages respectively.

Strength Analysis of Bulk Cement Truck Body Based on NASTRAN

With the rapid development of our nation’s economic construction, bulk cement trucks have developed rapidly among the special vehicles. The entity model of the bulk cement body tank was created using 3D drawing software UG. The model’s accuracy was proved through calculation and on the basis of the entity model the strength of structure was analyzed by Finite Element Analysis software Nastran. Lightweight processing of steel material was made to reduce the overall quality of cement truck and the loading capacity was increased under the condition of meeting the design strength. The theory basis on the development research and optimization design of bulk cement truck tank has been provided.

Reliability Analysis of Automobile Engine Connecting Rod Using Fourier Orthogonal Neural Network Method

In order to predict the failure probability of a complicated structure, the structural responses usually need to be estimated by a numerical procedure, such as finite element method (FEM). To reduce the computational effort required for reliability analysis, response surface method could be used. However the conventional response surface method is still time consuming especially when the number of random variables is large. In this paper, a Fourier orthogonal neural network (FONN)-based response surface method is adopted to solve the reliability analysis of the automobile engine. The working process of the connecting rod is simulated with UG software, the dynamics analysis on crank-connecting rod-piston mechanism is performed with ANSYS and ADAMS software, with FEM analysis results, the stress information of the critical point of the structure can be obtained, so the performance function of the structure can be established. The FONN method is used to fit the performance function as well as its derivatives, so as to calculate the reliability of the structure.

Simulations of Milling Process of Inconel 718 Alloy Based on Three Dimensional Finite Element Models

Nickel-based alloy is known as one of the most difficult–to-machine materials and the milling process is one of the most common metal removal operations. Modeling and simulation of milling process have the potential for understanding the milling mechanism, improving cutting tool designs and selecting optimum conditions, especially in advanced applications such as high-speed milling. This paper presents a 3D coupled thermo-mechanical finite element model based on ABAQUS\Explicit for the simulation of Inconel 718 chip formation in metal cutting. In the simulations, a Lagrangian formulation with an explicit solution scheme and a penalty contact algorithm has been used. The material behavior is modeled with classical Johnson-cook plasticity constitutive model and dynamic failure criteria for element removal, coupled with adaptive meshing and mass scaling technology for limiting the calculation time. The milling tool is modeled in UG software according to the real tool geometry, and meshed as a rigid tool. In order to verify the accuracy of 3D simulation, results (cutting forces and cutting temperature) were compared with the experimental results under the same cutting conditions as the simulations. The results obtained indicate that the simulation methodology is capable of predicting the cutting forces and cutting temperature. It suggests that 3D finite element simulation model of cutting processes can be truly trusted.

Research of Virtual Machine Based on UG and VERICUT

The virtual machine tool is a new technology going with the development of virtual manufacturing; it’s one of the key technologies of virtual machine. It possesses enormous economic benefits and widest application outlook, so it’s gradually becoming one research focus. Therefore around the virtual CNC machine tool research subject, the NC machining simulation key techniques were studied. Based on the development of FV-1000 virtual machine tool platform, combined with UG and VERICUT software to complete a variety of different functions in instances of multiple CNC machining simulation.

The UG Parametric Design of Vertical Horizontal Circular Vibration Drier Chassis

Vibration chassis is the point parts of vertical horizontal circular vibration drier, the paper used UG software to conduct parametric design. The paper established parts template, parts library and UG style menu of the vibration chassis. The paper also used UG further development module and the corresponding C++ program in Visual C++ development environment to control and transmit the parameters. The paper established parametric design based on the combination of the two factors. When the users input parameters, they could get more complete design project after a short time of operation in this designing software. The software could reduce or even avoid a large number of manual tedious and boring modification processes. It also could reduce calculation and workload for the designer and has higher practical application value.

Fabrication of the Sheet-Metal Part with Non-Horizontal End Face Based on the CNC Incremental Forming

Aiming at the problem that current CNC incremental forming technology can’t directly manufacture the sheet-metal part with non-horizontal end face, the method that can manufacture this kind of sheet-metal part by using the equidistant tool path parallel to the sheet metal was proposed in this paper, in which the support and sheet metal was made together and sheet metal was directly fixed on the support. In addition, the equidistant tool path parallel to the sheet metal was generated using UG software and the sheet-metal part was fabricated by using vertical CNC machining center.

Modal Analysis for the Fuselage of the New Tube Automatically Benchmarked Equipment Based on ANSYS Workbench

The 3D solid model of the tube automatically benchmarked equipment is built by UG software. Key Technologies of Rigid-Flexible Coupling System Modeling and Simulation

We studied key technologies of the rigid-flexible coupling systems modeling and simulation based on the theory of multi-body dynamics and virtual prototyping technology. The study proposed concrete measures to ensure the accuracy of the simulation to short the simulation time and improve simulation speed. It greatly improved the reliability and interoperability of research used three software UG, Ansys and Adams on rigid-flexible coupling system and found the existing issue of key parts of the design department, provided a strong quantitative basis for optimizing the loader working device.

Key Technology of Micro Electrochemical Milling Based on Ultra-Short Pulse Current

A new process of fabricating microstructures through micro electrochemical milling (micro EC milling) is proposed. The experiment equipment with a new type of ultra-short pulse supply was developed for micro EC milling. By controlling the movement track of simple micro tool electrode rotating at high speed on NC three-axis feed worktable, microstructures with high precision can be milled by micro-ECM under ultra-short pulse current. Micro EC milling can greatly improve the machining status in the tiny machining gap and thus make machining stable by simple rotary column electrode. The process of the NC generating micro-ECM integrating CAD/CAM technology is studied. G code for machining complex microstructures can be generated by the universal CAD/CAM of traditional milling based on UG software. Last, Microstructures with high precision were milled by this process, for example the micro trench with width of about 50μm.

Applied Research of Cloud Computing in the Tool Radius Compensation Discrimination of Numerical Control Programming

The cloud computing can allocate computer resources according to customers different demand dynamic status, which has improved the calculation efficiency, and saved the cost of hardware. This paper establishes the 3D mathematical model of data programming tool radius compensation system, and gets the tool radius compensation control equation according to the interpolation function. It designs the tool radius compensation discrimination system with the combination of UG software. In order to verify the validity and reliability of the system, the paper takes the processing process of leaf as an example to design the tool radius compensation algorithm, and the compensation deviation has been made numerical simulation, which has obtained error compensation curve and tool radius compensation parameter table. It can obtain reasonable tool compensation cutter and cycle according to the input of tool parameters, which provides technical support for the research of numerical control (NC) machining technology.

3D Geometric Modeling of Francis Turbine Blades Based on Wooden Patterns and UG Software

To quickly and easily get a smooth and accurate 3D model of blades, This paper was based on the two-dimensional wooden patterns of the existing francis turbine blades in "AutoCAD", by importing UG software platform, directly translating two-dimensional lines to get three-dimensional wooden patterns, without calculating the spatial coordinates of distribution points on the blade section lines, obtaining the optimized smooth pressure sides and suction sides of the blades by characteristic surface intersecting lines, after partial rounding and sewing the sheets, the process of three-dimensional modeling of blades was finally completed. This takes a solid foundation for hydraulic performance prediction and CFD numerical simulation analysis of the francis turbine. The blade modeling method described in this article has some reference value.

Modal Analysis Based on UG and ANSYS for Wide-Format Inkjet Printing Machine

The wide-format inkjet printing machine is a typical electromechanical integration equipment, whose designing process is difficult,and it has high requirements for the design process and the reliability.ANSYS modal analysis is a modern analysis method for the dynamic characteristics,which is used to determine the vibration characteristics of the designing structure and the machine parts.3-D modeling software UG was applied for three-dimensional solid modeling of the wide-format inkjet printers.The vibration characteristics of the machine could be gotten by the ANSYS modal analysis of the model built in UG.The analysis result could be used to test whether the design agency would resonance with the environment ,resulting in further mechanism modification to ensure the system stability.
