AbstactIt is well known that secondary school pupils have lost their interest toward the subject physics. This goes especially for problem solving, though understanding nature by physics requires the use of mathematics and solving problems. The negative opinion of problem solving can be subdued if we present problems for students from the real world around them, emphasising that physics has close ties with everyday life. The problems in this frontline can be solved by analysing a film made about a phenomenon. For solving the problems I use the Tracker Video Analysis and Modelling Tool program. In this way we can make problems (simple or difficult), suitable for lessons, homework or for project work. We have the facility to make films with pupils together, and the analysis can go through frontal, team or severally work. Problems can be created with the help of films downloaded from the internet. Even, the students are able to search for relevant films from the web.During the problem solving we have the opportunity to apply and show the scientific method and to associate it with actual problems of science.
