Identifikasi Komponen Produk Pariwisata 4A dan Kendala Pengembangan Desa Balun Sebagai Desa Wisata Pancasila di Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur

Balun village, widely recognized as a Pancasila village, boasts considerable tourism potential due to its exceptional and harmonious religious diversity. The village is distinguished by its residents, who practice Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism in close proximity, fostering a rich and dynamic cultural and religious landscape. Key attractions include the Miftahul Huda Mosque, a prominent site for the Muslim community; Jawi Wetan Christian Church, which serves as a center for Christian worship; Sweta Maha Suci Temple, a revered Hindu site; and the historic Mbah Alun Tomb, a significant cultural landmark. Additionally, the Pancasila monument in the village stands as a symbol of unity and tolerance among its diverse religious groups. Despite these advantages, Balun village has yet to fully harness its tourism potential. The village’s development is impeded by several factors, including a general lack of awareness among local residents about the benefits that tourism could bring to their community, both economically and culturally. Financial constraints further exacerbate the issue, limiting the ability to invest in necessary infrastructure and promotional activities. Additionally, there is a noticeable deficit in effective collaboration between local stakeholders, including government bodies, community leaders, and the tourism industry, which is crucial for cohesive and sustainable tourism development. This research aims to conduct a thorough analysis of these barriers, assessing their effects on the tourism growth in Balun village. By delving into these challenges, the study will highlight the village’s role as a crucial symbol of tolerance and cultural diversity within the Lamongan district. It will also offer strategic recommendations to address these issues, with the goal of enhancing tourism growth and positioning Balun village as a leading example of religious harmony and cultural richness. Ultimately, the research seeks to improve the village's attractiveness as a distinctive and inclusive tourist destination, benefiting both the local community and visitors. Keywords: Development, Tourism Potential, Religious Diversity, Harmony and Tolerance, Tourism Constraints

Tourism Constraints and Subjective Well-Being for Senior: A Serial Multiple Mediation Model

ABSTRACT This study targets seniors aged 60 and above, exploring the impact of tourism constraints on their subjective well-being through the lens of Activity Theory, as well as the mediating and serial mediating roles played by constraint negotiation and tourism participation. Conducted through a questionnaire survey, the empirical research reveals that tourism constraints negatively impact the subjective well-being of seniors. Conversely, tourism constraints positively influence constraint negotiation, which in turn positively affects tourism participation. Tourism participation enhances subjective well-being. Furthermore, constraint negotiation acts as a mediator in the relationship between tourism constraints and tourism participation, while tourism participation mediates the relationship between tourism constraints and subjective well-being. Serial mediating effect is found between tourism constraints and subjective well-being through constraint negotiation and tourism participation. This paper enriches the study of outcome variables and mechanisms of elderly tourism constraints, offering targeted suggestions to improve the tourism participation of seniors, thereby enhancing their sense of achievement and well-being.

농촌관광 제약요인에 따른 MZ세대 관광자 세분화 연구

This study aimed to identify tourism constraints that generation MZ (Millenials and Generation Z) experiences regarding rural tourism and to explore differences and among clusters based on these constraints. A total of 284 valid responses were used for a two-step clustering process which involved hierarchical cluster analysis to determine the number of clusters and non-hierarchical cluster analysis to determine the clusters. As a result, generation MZ was found to have a lack of interest, environmental discomfort, psychological discomfort, lack of time and financial resources, and peer influence regarding rural tourism. Based on these factors, three distinct groups were identified: the environmentally constrained group, the minimally constrained group, and the multi-constrained group. The environmentally constrained group consists of individuals who frequently engage in domestic travel but have limited experience in rural tourism. This group showed high intentions for tourism and word-of-mouth(WOM) recommendations. On the other hand, the minimally constrained segment had significantly more experience with rural tourism and preferred traveling with family or relatives. Lastly, the multi-constraint segment comprised over half of the respondents, who had no prior experience with rural tourism. They exhibited significant psychological distance from rural areas and demonstrated low behavioral intentions. This study addressed the limitations of previous studies and policies that presuppose generation MZ as a single group, and provided implications for revitalizing rural tourism through an in-depth understanding of the factors that may negatively affect generation MZ.

For Accessible Tourism Experience: Exploring The Blog Sphere of People with Disabilities

Despite the continuous development of the tourism industry, the participation of people with disabilities (PwDs) remains a major challenge. Tourism constraints, whose three categories include: intrapersonal, interpersonal, and structural, make delivering accessible tourism experiences more difficult. Regardless of the growing interest in travel blogs in recent years, blogging about travel experiences through the blog sphere still need more research in tourism literature. Travel bloggers are now seen as a trustworthy source of information to be considered during the process of traveler’s decision-making. The authors of accessible travel blogs share their experiences, stories, and accessible travel tips and write reviews on accessible destinations from the perspective of tourists with disabilities. The primary objective of this study is to examine the different constraints that are experienced by disability travel bloggers using the approach developed by Daniels et al. (2005). The second objective is to explore the negotiation strategies proposed by these travel bloggers to overcome travel constraints and to proof disabled travelers that accessible travel is possible. The results of the narrative analysis of 17 travel blogs showed that among many constraints shared by disabled travel bloggers, structural constraints were the most difficult to challenge and placed as the major concern.

Determinants of residents’ support for urban tourism in times of uncertainty: Exploring the case of the city of Madrid

Residents are key actors in the management of tourist destinations, especially in times of uncertainty such as those that characterize the current context of multidimensional crisis (ecological, political, social or economic). The role of tourism in these crises, its contribution to their acceleration or its work in recovery, makes it necessary to deepen the support of residents for tourism in complex times such as the present. The context generated by the COVID-19 health crisis is a good framework for this reflection, although it has not been sufficiently explored. This article draws on Social Exchange Theory to explain residents' support for tourism in urban destinations during periods of uncertainty such as those generated by the health crisis, focusing on factors that have so far been little explored: risk perception, community involvement and the management of tourism constraints. A structural multiple indicator multiple cause (MIMIC) model is proposed to test the theoretical model. Using data derived from a survey of 342 residents in the city of Madrid (Spain), the results show that, in addition to benefits as a predictor of residents' support for tourism in contexts of uncertainty, risk perception and the management of tourism constraints are also relevant determinants of this support. The findings have important implications for decision-makers and public managers of urban destinations in the current period of multiple crises.

Attraction Recommendation Based on Tourism Context Modeling and Multi‐neural Collaborative Filtering Algorithm

The key to generating tailored suggestions in the scenic location recommendation scene is how to model the diverse tourism environments in order to correctly acquire visitor preferences and scenic spot tourism features. However, most existing recommendation algorithms focus on the spatiotemporal background modeling of historical tourism trajectories. Only tourists' preferences are understood, and the rich heterogeneous tourism information such as tourists' personal tourism constraints and scenic spots' tourism attributes are ignored. In this paper, we proposed a multiple neural collaborative filtering attraction recommendation architecture (MNCF‐AR). To begin, we learn the tourism feature representation of tourists by modeling diverse tourism contexts, and then we create the tourism trajectory background of tourists using a large number of actual tourism logs to achieve the entire feature representation of tourists. Second, to learn the feature vector of scenic spots in the context, the tourism heterogeneous network map is used to build the scenic spot attribute background, the self‐attention network to learn the scenic spot sequence learning, and a neural network to project each scenic spot into a unified potential feature space. Finally, the multi‐neural collaborative filtering method is utilized to forecast the difference in scores between visitors and scenic sites so that tailored scenic spots may be recommended. Extensive experiments on mainstream datasets, such as MaFengwo, New York, Tokyo and Xi'an, show that the proposed method can effectively and accurately recommend attractions for users. © 2023 Institute of Electrical Engineer of Japan and Wiley Periodicals LLC.

노년층과 영유아층의 여가제약에 대한 비교 연구

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the leisure constraints of seniors and preschoolers as vulnerable tourism groups. Numerous studies have been conducted on the vulnerable groups of the disabled and seniors, but there have been insufficient studies on the preschool age group. With the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, leisure conditions are returning to pre-pandemic levels, necessitating research on tourism constraints for tourism-vulnerable groups.
Methods: To determine the specific leisure constraints of senior citizens and preschoolers, in-depth interviews with 4 senior citizens and 4 preschoolers' caregivers were conducted and analyzed according to Crawford & Godbey's categories of leisure constraints(1987).
Results: As a result of analyzing the seniors' and preschoolers' tourism constraints, unlike previous studies, there were no clear intrapersonal constraints in both groups, and both groups had a “negative perception of others” in terms of interpersonal constraints. Lack of customized leisure programs and lack of barrier-free facilities were cited as structural constraints for both seniors and preschoolers. Particularly, specific and detailed facility requirements were confirmed for the preschoolers compared to the seniors.
Conclusion: This study was able to confirm the similarities and differences between the two groups by identifying the understudied tourism constraints of preschoolers and comparing them to those of seniors. Through this, it will serve as a foundation for providing a system that can be complemented in common by the two groups, as well as providing tourism constraints that can be tailored to each group.

Barriers to participation in tourism linked respite care

Successive interventions designed to curb the spread of COVID-19 have all served to exacerbate the demands placed upon informal carers, a population indispensable to health care systems. The need for breaks from caring has never been so pronounced. This paper adopts, and extends, the theory of hierarchical leisure constraints to better understand barriers to tourism respite participation. Lived experiences are collected via story-telling techniques (n = 157) from carers taking trips of one night or more away during times of palliative and end-of-life care. Three cross-cutting constraints are emergent in the data: awareness (knowing); access (doing); and anxiety (feeling). Negotiation strategies are suggested, hierarchical implications questioned and the opportunity to explore a temporal dimension to tourism constraints in future research signalled.

Tourism Intention of People Susceptible to Covid-19 in The New Normal

COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a fundamental challenge to tourism, that is mobility. While research on tourism intention have been growing since the beginning of the pandemic, there was a lack of attention on discussion about people who face less opportunity for tourism due to their vulnerable physical conditions or people at-risk to COVID-19. Therefore, this research purported to reveal the influence of tourism constraints on tourism intention of people categorized as physically vulnerable to COVID-19 in the new normal era. Data collection was conducted through an online survey to citizens of Jakarta belonging to middle age and elderly group from end of June to September 2021. Multiple regression analysis with SPSS is used to test the relationship between tourism constraints and tourism intention, and analyze data of 337 respondents. The study showed that tourism intention of people at-risk from COVID-19 can be classified as high with intrapersonal constraints being the only significant constraints. This implies that the significant effect of intrapersonal constraints is not powerful enough to reduce the tourism intention of people susceptible to COVID-19.

The Influence of Intrapersonal Constraints on Travel Intention of People at High Risk from COVID-19 during the New Normal

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism constraints have created a challenge for inclusive tourism, especially for older people and people with comorbidities. This study examined intrapersonal constraints’ effect on the travel intentions of people facing fewer opportunities for tourism due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which could disrupt their well-being fulfillment. The data were collected through an online survey of Jakarta citizens aged 46 years and older from the end of June to September 2021, and a total of 337 responses were accumulated. This study applied partial least square structural equation modeling to test the moderating effect of intrapersonal constraints toward the theory of planned behavior and revealed that the travel intentions of people at high risk from COVID-19 were considered high and were directly influenced by subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intrapersonal constraints. High travel intention implies that intrapersonal constraints do not extensively weaken at-risk people’s desire to travel during the new normal.

문화유산관광지 방문객의 관광동기, 관광제약과 관광만족도, 재방문의도 간의 구조적 관계 연구

Cultural heritage tourism differs from other types of tourism in that it focuses on the resources of relics and the value of historical sites. Despite high levels of satisfaction among visitors, the intention to return to cultural heritage sites is low. The purpose of this study was to identify the main factors that negatively contribute to the intention to revisit cultural heritage tourism by investigating the structural relationships among cultural heritage tourists who had a higher motive to learn knowledge, as well as higher income and education, when compared to other types of tourism. From November 15 to December 10, 2019, the convenience sampling technique was used to target tourists who visited the Qin Terra-cotta Warriors Museum. The overall findings of this study indicated that tourism motivation influences tourism satisfaction, which in turn influences revisit intention. However, service satisfaction had no effect on revisit intention. Furthermore, while overall travel constraints were found to have a negative impact on tourism satisfaction, intrapersonal constraints had a negative impact on service satisfaction and commentary/knowledge satisfaction. Academically, this research helps to clarify constraints in improving tourism satisfaction and revisiting cultural heritage sites. In other words, the stronger the tourism constraints, the less likely people are to return to cultural heritage sites. This study's findings were also practically useful for developing marketing strategies that included tourism constraints to increase revisit intention.

Analysis of tourism constraints and selection factors for the disabled: centered on the disabled

How to deal with tourism constraints for seniors? Evidence from social tourism programmes

ABSTRACT The article examines how tourism constraints for seniors are addressed through social tourism programmes. The research is aimed to (1) identify and (2) classify/categorise various adjustments in social torism programmes for seniors to determine the unique combination of adjustments that characterise social tourism programmes for seniors. Building on the hierarchical leisure constraints model [Crawford, D. W., Jackson, E. L., & Godbey, G. (1991). A hierarchical model of leisure constraints. Leisure Sciences, 13(4), 309–320. doi:10.1080/01490409109513147] the analysis intersects the three groups of constraints – intrapersonal, interpersonal and structural – with three strands of uncertainty faced by seniors – travel uncertainty, financial uncertainty and mobility uncertainty and corresponding social support adjustments: personal support mechanisms and instrumental support mechanisms. The proposed model shows that travel social support is of central importance for effectively negotiating the travel constraints in social tourism for seniors.

Social sanctions of leisure and tourism constraints in Nepal

This study deals with the role of social sanctions in exploring the leisure-tourism engagement in Nepal. It then examines how people respond to societal norms and partake in leisure tourism vacations. The study applies the qualitative method and data is collected through in-depth interviews of purposely selected samples of 18 individuals in Kathmandu. The findings identify that the Nepali conception of leisure is subject to a degree of negative social sanctions, which people negotiate through their religious values and obligations. The paper establishes the centrality of social sanctions on leisure in understanding the incentives for tourism in a non-western society.
