DEVELOPMENT OF PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCE OF TEACHERS OF TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING AND TEACHING ENGLISH FOR SPECIAL PURPOSES

In the age of modern science and technology, the demand for the specialty "English language teacher" is increasing in society. The new status of the English language teacher set the task of significantly changing the professional training of professors, updating the content and technology of linguistic education, and improving the quality of higher education. In order to effectively carry out his professional activity, an English teacher must not only have a good command of a foreign language, but also have basic professional competence in a certain area of English for specific purposes. The article reveals the problems of developing the pedagogical competencies of teachers of technical higher education institutions in the process of learning and teaching English for special purposes.

EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK MOTIVATION AND JOB SATISFACTION AMONG TEACHERS OF HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTES

This study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) to dive into the complex relationships between work motivation and job satisfaction among the teachers of higher educational institutes in and around Hyderabad, an Indian Metro. Understanding how these key factors interact in the modern organizational psychology environment is crucial for promoting employee engagement and successful implementation of academics among the higher educational institutes. We use SEM to investigate the complex linkages that underpin work motivation and job satisfaction and how these elements interact with one another. The study makes use of a broad survey instrument and a diversified sample of teachers from different higher educational institutes (HEIs) to capture complex features of work motivation and job satisfaction. The SEM is used to do complex statistical analysis on the obtained data, allowing us to go beyond obvious relationships and reveal underlying patterns of effect. With this analytical strategy, we want to not only confirm pre-existing hypotheses but also identify potential mediating or moderating factors that affect the intricate relationship between job satisfaction and motivation at work. In conclusion, this study uses a structural equation modelling technique a covariance based model to investigate the complex connection between job satisfaction and motivation at work among teachers from HEIs. This study adds to the body of knowledge in organizational psychology by revealing underlying patterns and mechanisms that underlie these dimensions and provides practical advice for fostering supportive work environments and enhancing organizational effectiveness. The results indicate a statistically significant gender differences among the teachers in job motivation and no statistically significant gender difference in work satisfaction. Personalization of Professional Development of Teachers in Formal and Informal Professional Development

Introduction. The article considers the problem of improving the professional development of teaching staff in terms of their involvement in continuing education, including through inclusion in formal and informal professional development. On the basis of the revealed contradictions, the problem of research is determined: how to personalize the professional development of teachers (including young teachers) in formal and informal professional development. The purpose of the study is to empirically test the effectiveness of the personalized professional development program for teachers in formal and informal professional development. Methodology. The experimental search work was carried out on the basis of the Information and Methodological Center in Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk region in the period 2021–2023. The target audience of the study is young teaching staff. Results. Approbation of the 2022/23 academic year program (compared with the 2021/22 academic year program), personalized education for young teachers of general education organizations was successful, there is an increase in the competence of young teachers in the field of professional activity in comparison with the results of primary diagnostics. Conclusion. The authors note that the process of personalizing the professional development of teachers in formal and informal professional development is effective with the developed program in the aspect of continuous professional personalized education of teachers of general education institutions based on the integration of a system-activity, personally-oriented and environmental approach.

USING PROJECT ACTIVITIES TO PREPARE FUTURE TEACHERSFOR SELF-EDUCATION

Professional training of teaching staff is an urgent task of science and practice of higher education. This article analyzes in detail self-education in higher education. The implementation of project activities is one of the effective ways to solve this problem. Teachers of modernpreschool educational organizations are generalists, perform many functions, work in conditions of rapidly spreading innovative technologies and, accordingly, should be aware of current development trends. Self-education is a necessity for all employees of the educational sphere.The authors of the article present the results of practical scientific and pedagogical research organized on the basis of the Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A.Margulan.The article focuses on the experience of using the project method in the process of professional training for self-education of future teachers of preschool educational institutions.

Genre and species characteristics of musical and performing interpretation

The relevance of the publication lies in the importance and necessity of determining the influence of genre and species characteristics on musical and performance interpretation. So, the main purposes of this article are to identify the main factors that influence the development of interpreting skills, analyse how students of higher music institutions have evaluated their own musical interpretation skills, provide an assessment analysis of how independent music experts have evaluated students' musical interpretation skills, provide a comparative analysis of these assessments, provide rationale for the importance of musical and performing interpretation skills regardless of the music genre, and provide recommendations for the development of musical performance interpretation skills for teachers of higher music institutions. While considering the issue of genre and species characteristics of musical and performing interpretation, the methods of this scientific work were applied: the deductive method, method of argumentation, method of matching, methods of combination and differentiation, method of categorisation, method of questionnaire survey, and systematic analysis, which provided an opportunity to link all the research results together. The study suggests the outcome of the research conducted, discovers the key peculiarities of the art process that influence the development of interpretation skills, analyses the results of self-assessment by students of higher music institutions, provides a comparative analysis with the assessments of independent experts, substantiates the need for closer attention to the development of musical and performing interpretation skills for musicians of all genres, both instrumentalists and vocalists, and provides recommendations for developing the musical and performing interpretation skills of future musicians. The practical value of the study lies in the fact that its results can be used both in the concert activity of musicians and in the process of mastering the performing disciplines by students of colleges and higher educational institutions related to the art of music.

Analysis of the effectiveness of the methodology for designing a cloud-oriented distance learning environment for biology in informal education conditions

The article contains an analysis of research on the design of a cloud-oriented environment for distance learning of biology, teachers' experience in designing cloud-oriented environments contributes to the development of distance learning forms in general secondary education institutions and the widespread implementation of electronic tools in educational practice. When organizing distance learning in natural sciences, it is necessary to take into account the platform's capabilities and services for developing students' natural-science thinking, conducting observations, laboratory and practical experiments, implementing experimental tasks. The combination of cloud services and methods of distance learning in biology allows visualization of biological processes, the research-oriented nature of activities, organizing research projects on a single platform, using media resources, interactive simulators, integrating virtual content with the physical environment, and using programs for quality knowledge monitoring. The aim of the study is to develop a methodology for teachers to design a cloud-oriented educational environment for distance learning of biology for students in informal education conditions, testing its effectiveness based on the results of evaluation using a factor-criterion model, and developing recommendations for improving the qualifications of teachers in designing cloud-oriented environments in informal education conditions. Theoretical and empirical methods were applied to achieve the set goal, involving the study of previous research in the field of designing distance educational environments and the integration of cloud services into the educational process. Mathematical statistical methods were used to analyze the results of the survey of teachers from the focus group. The effectiveness of the developed methodology was tested using a factor-criterion model, which includes four factors: organizational, methodological, procedural, and content. Expert assessment of the effectiveness of the methodology revealed that the effectiveness of designing a cloud-oriented environment for distance learning of biology by biology teachers in general secondary education institutions, who participated in the focus group, is 0.79, indicating a high level

Investigation of Professional Commitment Among Practicing Teachers in Higher Education Institutions

The present study aims to explore the phenomenon of professional commitment in the institutions of the Higher Education Department in the province of Punjab. The phenomenon is related to the teachers’ commitment to teaching, teamwork, and students’ welfare. The study framework follows the positivistic paradigm and quantitative approach through the survey method for hypothesizing phenomena and gathering and analyzing data. The study population consists of public-sector college teachers from Punjab, Pakistan. Through the multistage sampling technique, 803 public college teachers were selected as a sample of the study. The data was collected through a self-developed questionnaire, i.e., ‘measure for teachers’ professional commitment.’ For the validation purposes of the data tool, qualitative and quantitative analysis was carried out by seeking expert opinion and pilot testing for factor analysis to ensure the reliability and validity of the study instrument. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to answer the study's research questions. The results reflect that professional commitment among teachers is at a low level, and commitment to teaching and teamwork is at a low level. Based on these conclusions, it is recommended that a low level of teachers’ professional commitment is critically important to be addressed through a selection of teachers who have taught as their first choice for the job to ensure intrinsic motivation. Furthermore, incentives, appreciation, and social recognition might be supportive for enhancing their commitment to teaching.

Analyzing The Influences of Cyber-Loafing, Quiet Quitting, and Job Satisfaction On Teacher Performance in Non-Formal Educational Institutions

Non-formal educational institutions play a crucial role in enhancing human resource quality. Teacher performance is a key factor determining the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process within these institutions. In the digital age, the emergence of cyber-loafing and quiet quitting phenomena can negatively impact teacher performance. This study aims to analyze the influences of cyber-loafing, quiet quitting, and job satisfaction on teacher performance in non-formal educational institutions, utilizing 42 data samples. This research employs a quantitative method with a survey design. Data was collected from 42 teachers in non-formal educational institutions within the Bekasi area, West Java, Indonesia. Multiple linear regression was used as the data analysis technique.The research findings indicate that cyber-loafing and job satisfaction have positive significant influences on teacher performance, while quiet quitting has a negative significant influence.These findings differ from previous studies suggesting a significant impact of cyber-loafing, quiet quitting, and job satisfaction on teacher performance. This discrepancy might be attributed to factors such as differing sample characteristics, measurement methods, or research contexts.More extensive studies with larger and more diverse samples, alongside more accurate measurement methods, are necessary to confirm these findings.

The article is based on the system of professional training of future teachers in higher educational institutions of the country. Today, an independent country is a country that determines the possibilities of future development, taking into account modern processes, technologies that provide its own system, model and quality of national education. Kazakhstan as a sovereign state, the signing of the Lisbon Declaration and participation in the Bologna process, etc. reflect its place in the global educational space. This circumstance contributes to the intensive development of the higher education system, taking into account the socio-cultural interests of our state and global educational processes that determine the quality and technological achievements in higher education. It is obvious that one of the urgent problems of pedagogical science and best practices is to identify priority areas for improving the upbringing and education of the free generation that has crossed the threshold of the XXI century. In the system of professional training of future teachers, their qualitative skills should correspond to social processes. Due to the transition of an independent country to a market economy in accordance with the changing requirements of the time, the main criteria of competitiveness oblige future teachers to have modern qualities along with knowledge, knowledge, business skills. In this regard, the article formulates the relevance and positions, features and rationality of the development of qualitative skills in the system of professional training of future teachers based on scientific analysis.

Development of the network communication culture in the future teacher

Relevance. The field of education in the 21st century is, as before, one of the key aspects of the development of society, however, modern conditions are changing the context of the training and functioning of future teachers. Due to the development of digital culture and the active use of online platforms and courses in the education system, it is important to investigate the development of a network communication culture among students of teacher�s institutes. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to investigate and highlight the issues of the development of digital education in future teachers of secondary schools in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Methodology. The following methods of scientific research were used: comparison, analysis, generalisation, typological approach. Results. As a result of studying aspects of the development of a network communication culture among young pedagogical specialists, it was possible to develop a vocabulary of the leading terms, such as �network culture�, and also to clarify the significance of the introduction of the digital form of the educational process. In addition, the main areas of modern education were clarified: the use of social networks and the use of ETDSML-type projects. Conclusions. This scientific research examines and analyses the main areas of application of one of the most promising areas in digital education � MOOCs, and robotics, as important educational tools in the learning process with further digital progress. This study can be used by teachers of higher educational institutions for the development of network communication of teachers and applicants, as well as for the further investigation of the network communication culture of students in teacher�s institutes. Особенности психологических защит и копинг-стратегий у педагогов дошкольных образовательных учреждений с разным уровнем психологического благополучия

<p>The aim of the work was to identify the features of psychological defenses and coping strategies among teachers of preschool educational institutions with different levels of psychological well-being. The study involved 62 educators of preschool educational institutions in the city of Rostov-on-Don, the city of Aksai and the village of Rassvet, Rostov Region. The following methods were used: “Scale of psychological well-being” by K. Riff, technique for measuring psychological defense by E.R. Pilyugina, R.F. Suleimanov, questionnaire “Types of orientations in difficult situations” by E.V. Bityutskaya, A.A. Korneeva. As a result of the study, it was found that teachers with a high level of psychological well-being more often use adaptive psychological defenses, teachers with an average level of psychological well-being more often use psychological defense of the infantile type, teachers with a low level of psychological well-being more often use psychological defense of the psychotic, as well as infantile and neurotic types. Teachers of preschool educational institutions with a high level of psychological well-being are distinguished by their preference for coping strategies related to the type “Orientation towards rapprochement, interaction with difficulty.” Teachers of preschool educational institutions with an average and, especially, a low level of psychological well-being tend to be more inclined to use coping strategies related to the type “Orientation towards leaving and moving away from difficulties.” It is recommended to use the results of the study in psychoprophylactic and psychocorrective work with preschool teachers.</p>

Features of the Organization of Vaccination of the Adult Population Living in Rural Areas of Groups of Family Doctors No. 7 in the Background of the Family Medicine Center of Jalal-Abad City of the Kyrgyz Republic

The results of organizing rapid testing and vaccination against viral hepatitis B among the adult population of group of family doctors No. 7, in the family medicine center of the city of Jalal-Abad, are presented. In 2023, 241 people underwent rapid testing, of which 236 had negative test results. Coverage was 4.3%. The high frequency of vaccination of the first, second and third doses against parenteral viral hepatitis occurs in the age group of 50-59 years, then in 40-49 years and in third place — 60 years and older. More women (61.4%) apply for vaccination than men (38.6%). Among those who applied, most often are the unemployed population, then contact persons, and in third place are teachers of educational institutions.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS FOR SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORKS MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

In this article we analyze the Russian developments in the field of software-defined networks and software-defined wide area networks, professional standards and job vacancies in order to determine knowledge and skills required of specialists. We conclude that there is a lack of practical manuals for training network engineers, and suggest possible topics for laboratory exercises for educational textbooks. This article can be useful for teachers of educational institutions of vocational secondary education, higher education, supplementary education in the development of work programs of disciplines, lecture material and laboratory workshops in the field of software-defined networks, as well as for students of the educational institutions and for junior network engineers.

Introduction: In June 2023, the pilot program for implementing the first Specialist Inclusive Education Support Centers into the Polish educational practice concluded. The authors conducted evaluative research within the Specialist Inclusive Education Support Centers (SIESCs) in Łódź, Poland. Research Aim: The purpose of the research aim was to evaluate the support provided to teachers in mainstream educational institutions, and the purpose of the article was to show the experience of conducting functional assessment in recognizing the diverse needs of students. Method: The research method employed was focused group interviews with teachers and school principals, along with content analysis of the opinions expressed by participants in the self-study network. Results: The research results are their selected statements, evaluating against different areas of support, the experience of using school functional assessment. Conclusions: The conclusions of the research confirm teachers’ concerns about functional assessment, perceived as a new form of educational diagnosis, but also highlight significant needs in this area arising from the inclusive approach in the Polish education system. The staff of special schools serving as SIESCs, can be instrumental in implementing the functional assessment process for inclusion purposes.

Twenty-First Century Teaching Skills of Teachers in Chinese Educational Institutions in Central Philippines

Twenty-first teaching skills are necessary to meet the demands of the 21st-century educational curriculum. Anchored on the framework of 21st century learning and partnership for 21st century skills, this study assessed the teachers’ practice of 21st century teaching skills among Chinese schools in Central Philippines in terms of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity and innovation, self-direction, making global connections, making local connections, and using technology as a tool for learning relative to their age, sex, educational attainment, years of teaching, and designation. Likewise, it compared their teaching skills assessment when grouped to demographics. Using the quantitative design, the 112 stratified randomly sampled teachers responded to the standardized questionnaire. It was responded using very great to very poor extent. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. Meanwhile, the researcher adhered to the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB). Generally, their teaching skills extent was great. Also, there was no difference in their age, sex, educational attainment, and years of teaching. However, there was a difference in designation where high school rated higher than elementary teachers. Hence, trainings are essential in continuously improving in 21st century teaching skills. Also, the results partially validated the theory. With these, further studies are recommended to validate the claims.

The level of physical and psychophysical training of higher education students, whose future professional activity will be directly related to the performance of complex official tasks, namely: detention, external and internal inspection, escorting offenders, use of weapons, etc. depends on the professional skills of the physical education teacher. Therefore, the formation of professional competence and the development of personal professionally important qualities of physical education teachers in higher education institutions with specific learning environments is an urgent problem and requires attention and continuous improvement. The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of professional competence and development of professionally important qualities of physical education teachers in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions. The methodology of the study is based on the analysis of literary sources and the synthesis of pedagogical observation. Results of the study and conclusions. The article reveals the modern understanding of the professional competence of a physical education teacher of a higher education institution with specific learning conditions. The author substantiates the need to improve the professional competence and development of personal professionally important qualities of a physical education teacher of a higher education institution. Innovative ways of professional development of physical education teacher of higher education institution with specific learning conditions are proposed, namely: trainings, webinars, scientific and practical events. ГЕНЕЗА ПОНЯТЬ «КОМПЕТЕНТНІСТЬ» І «КОМПЕТЕНЦІЯ» У ПЕДАГОГІЧНІЙ ДУМЦІ

The development of competencies is an important aspect for every individual, as it ensures the achievement of high results in work and allows you to perform tasks more efficiently and professionally. In the modern world, there are concordant concepts of “competence” and “competency”, which are interpreted by scientists in different ways. The purpose of this article is to study the origin of the concepts of “competence” and “competency”, to clarify the definitions of each concept and the expediency of using these interpretations by teachers of general secondary education institutions. Conclusions. Establishing the relationship between the concepts of “competence” and “competency”, we consider it appropriate to focus on their distinction. In accordance with the studied interpretations of these concepts, we note that competency is interpreted by a certain institution or the state as a predetermined requirement for knowledge, skills, abilities that a person must have in order to be successful in the required field of activity. In turn, competence is an asset of the individual, which determines the qualitative level of knowledge, skills and the ability to implement them based on one’s own experience, which manifests itself at a critical moment through the ability to find a connection between the situation and knowledge, in making adequate decisions on an urgent problem. It is important to note that competence is directly related to competency, as it specifically outlines a given range of issues in the field of activity that a person should be well versed in, i.e. competent. Thus, competence is a predetermined set of knowledge, skills, and abilities, and competency is actually a qualitative characteristic of the acquisition of this knowledge and skills, which is manifested in the process of practical activity.
