Notes on hoplopleurid lice from Taiwan (Anoplura, Insecta).

The sucking lice of 3 genera and 5 species are discussed: Phthirunculus sumatranus Kuhn & Ludwig, Neohaematopinus callosciuri Johnson, Neohaematopinus petauristae Ferris, Polyplax asiatica Ferris, and Polyplax reclinata (Nitzsch). Nymphal stages of 4 species and adult stage of P. sumatranus are described and illustrated on the basis of Taiwanese specimens.
