The behavior of boiler steel T-22 in a rich air environment has been studied under the condition of isothermal at 800 ° C for 50 cycles in a cyclic manner. The kinetics of oxidation was established for boiler steel T-22under cyclic conditions for 50 cycles by weight change technique per unit area. Each cycle heating the sample at 1 hour followed by cooling 20 minutes at ambient temperature. Detonation gun spray techniques were used to deposit Ni-20Cr and WC-12Co coating materials were deposited on boiler steel T22 by D-Gun method. All samples were subjected to cyclic oxidation at 800 ° C for 50 cycles in silicon wire tube furnace. The characteristic of the uncoated and coated samples have been investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) techniques were used to investigate the characteristic of samples. Comparative analysis has been done and found that Ni-20Cr coated sample showed more resistive as compared to WC-12Co coated and uncoated T-22 boiler steel.
