The Design and Implementation of Coal Mine Monitoring System Based on Internet of Things

China is rich in coal resources and has cheap labor, but the backwardness of mining technology and the lack of management seriously affected the sustainable development of the coal industry. Internet of Things, whose management and control is very convenient, is to realize the connection between objects and objects, objects and people, objects and network. This paper introduces Internet of Things technology to the development of coal mining and monitoring system, and makes design from the aspects of hardware and software. The system improves the production efficiency, safety and reliability.

Catastrophic Model of Water Inrush from Coal Mine Floor

The water inrush from coal mine floor is a typical catastrophic process. A catastrophic theory is applied to water bursting in pit footwall for the first time. Through the research on lost stabilization of energy in the floor system of coal mine, a cusp catastrophic model applied to forecast water bursting from coal mine floor is put forward. The formulas of the critical stress, the strain and the released energy of the floor are developed when the floor system lost stabilization. So a new theory approach is offered for the forecast of water inrush from coal mine floor.

Modeling the pipe umbrella roof support system in a Western US underground coal mine

Weak roof conditions in underground coal mines are a common occurrence and cause significant problems in delaying production. This work presents innovative way of using directional drilling method for roof support in weak sandstone conditions other than conventional method such as bolting, trussing, and cribbing methods. This paper presents a conceptual model of pipe umbrella roof support methods intended for employment in the underground coal mining environment over a single entry of a development section.The design methodology was evaluated by examining a case study of a western U.S. coal mine, and its specific geologic conditions. This work used extensive literature reviews and laboratory test results of the mine. Geotechnical laboratory testing was performed for a weak sandstone channel material that occurs in large extents at the mine for input into numerical models. 2D and 3D models in FLAC were developed.These models utilize beam elements embedded in the continuum model. Results from the modeling showed that bending moments vary in the embedded beams based on the pipe spacing and the diameter of the pipes. A design criterion for a pipe umbrella system was based on the developed bending moment due to undermining and the commonly used flexure formula for bending stress. A safety factor approach was used in this paper for the design of a pipe umbrella system.

Analysis on the Construction of the Monorail Hoist Auxiliary Transportation System in Coal Mine

To improve the efficiency of the auxiliary transportation system in the coal mine, the monorail auxiliary transportation system was built with the analysis of monorail’s adaptability and road section, and calculation about locomotive selection. The key link of the system’s popularization and application were proposed. The system provides practical significance to improve environment, enhance efficiency and ensure safety in transportation.

Application of 3G Technology in Coal Mine Monitoring System

The system makes use of monitoring terminal completed field data collection and processing, image and alarm signal are accessed internet through the 3G wireless network, realize remote monitoring center real-time video monitoring on the mine site.

Radio Channel Research in Coal Mine Laneways

The transmission mode of wireless waves in coal mine tunnel is different from the mode in free space.The multipath propagation of wireless wave is severe in tunnel.As a result,the characteristics study of multipath propagation is very important to the design of wireless communication system in coal mine tunnel.After analyzing the multipath propagation attenuation in tunnel,the statistics of single frequency signal,narrowband signal and broadband signal are obtained.This is the foundation for the application of resisting multipath decline techniques.

The Coal Mine Underground Video Acquisition and Application System Research Based on ARM

With the rapid development of ARM-core chips and the popularity of USB camera, composing of real-time monitoring system with these two together becoming a trend, meantime the open-source Linux operating system is just as a bridge between the two. This paper studies on ARM9 nuclear processor S3C2440 for CPU, Linux as embedded system , by using USB camera for image acquisition hardware and software implementation process，and ultimately composing of a video acquisition and displaying system for coal mine ,and this system is applied in underground coal mine belt conveyor belt of longitudinal tear detection .

Research on Coal Mining Material Active Perception System Based on IOT and Coal Resources

The framework of initiative coal mining system based on the perception layer of Internet of things (IOT), took the way of combination initiative acquisition, with timing and real time to implement “people, ring, and material” perception of the underground of coal mining is proposed. On this basis, coal mining material active perception system is designed. Research of Data Tree Model in Coal Mine Heterogeneous Database Integration

Through the analysis of the characteristics of heterogeneous database of coal mine, design heterogeneous data integration of coal mine system. The application of the data tree model theory is to eliminate heterogeneous model of all the local databases. The mapping relation of global view and each local view is established in the same data model and we can achieve transparent access of heterogeneous data sources by using middleware technology.

Economic Analysis of Cascade Utilization of Mine Water and Recycled Water of Electric Power Plant

The scheme selection and system design of the regional central air conditioning system of Xiezhuang Coal Mine were presented. The cascade utilization of Mine water and recycled water of electric power plant was realized in this system. The system works well with decent economic benefits and accord with energy conservation and pollution reduction. At the same time, the economical efficiency and emission reductions of this system were analyzed, providing reference for regional central air conditioning system of the same type. The modulus of this system reaches comprehensive energy efficiency coefficient 4.83 in summer and 23.41 in winter. The increasing income and the saving investment are about RMB1.87b/a. CO2 emission reduction is 249.4t/a, SO2 11.3t/a, smoke and dust 8.5t/a, ash 147.4t/a.

Fiber Optic Temperature and Gas Concentration Sensor for Mine Goaf Area Inner Detecting

Spontaneous combustion in coal goaf area is one of major disasters in coal mines. Detection technology based on signature Gas and Temperature is the primary means of spontaneous combustion forecasting of coal goaf area. A real-time remote fire detection system is proposed based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy technology and FBG temperature sensing technology, to achieve valid detect of gas concentration and temperature. The system achieved remote on-line monitoring of gas concentration and temperature in mine goaf, meet the fire forecast need for Coal goaf area. There are obvious advantages Compared with the existing beam tube monitoring system in coal mine.

Research of Gas Inspector Supervising System for Coal Mine Based on Call Center Technology

As the rapid growth of China's economy, the demand of coal resource will keep increasing for a long period in the future. At the same time, there are some safe problems in coal mine production. This paper discusses the development of gas inspector supervising system based on the research of gas inspector supervising work and the management information system principle. It benefits from the call center technology, uses voice cards to develop interactive software, developed the gas inspector supervising system for coal mine. The system realized reminding of gas inspector detecting point, detecting circuit supervision and automatic recording of the report on the time and place and other functions. Practice has proved that the system improves the supervision efficiency of gas inspector, and provides effective means for safety production management of coal mine.

Accurate TOA-Based UWB Localization System in Coal Mine Based on WSN

Over the last years, there has been a great deal of interest in Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless communication and Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN), especially following the proposing of the internet of things by the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in 1999, hich is also result in an increasing research on UWB and WSN applications. This article mainly introduced the accurate UWB Localization System based on WSN in coal mine. Firstly, we briefly introduced UWB and WSN Localization technology. Secondly, the advantages and disadvantages of the previous personnel localization technology in coal mine was analyzed and contrasted, and then the suitable personnel localization system in coal mine based on UWB signal and TOA estimate positioning scheme are presented. At last the rationality and feasibility of this scheme was proved through the simulation results.

Automatic Coal Mine Anti-Dusty Water Sprayer Controller Design

In this paper introduce the technology of automatic sprayer control system in coal mine. In order to achieve sprinkling automatic, this sprayer device uses human body sensor to control the electromagnetic valve on and off. This system is not only able to conquer dust, purify air, but also able to absorb harmful gas, reduce gas density, which is important device to improve harmful dust environment and against the dust endanger.

Study on RFID Technology and Anti-Collision of Personnel Orientation in Coal Mine

The RFID technology of personnel orientation in coal mine is introduced in this article. Combined with special circumstances and special coal mine safety regulations, the unavoidable collision problem in RFID is also analyzed detailedly. It points out the deficiencies of the general anti-collision algorithm. Then it brings forward an improved anti-collision algorithm, which is significative for enhancing performance of personnel orientation system in coal mine.

Energy Consumption Analysis of Level Circulating Cooling System in Sanhejian Deep Coal Mine

With the deep mining in coal mine, heat damage is one of the technical issues need to be solved. HEMS cooling system in Sanhejian Coal Mine is a process system for high-temperature heat damage controlling in deep coal mine, in which cool energy extracted to reduce work face’s ambient temperature to achieve heat damage controlling. Part of the cool energy is from the level circulating of cooling water in -700 level main raodway, the other is from the mine water. We analyze the energy consumption of every subsystem during operation of the HEMS system, which could provide a theoretical basis and technical guidance on more efficiently running of cooling system deep in the future.
