Comparison Between Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation of Students in Islamic Religious Education and Moral Values Subjects

Purpose: To compare students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics subjects. This research explores how these motivations affect student engagement, academic performance, and long-term interest. This research seeks to understand their impact on learning outcomes by analyzing internal and external motivational factors. The findings will provide insights for developing effective and meaningful learning experiences in these subjects. This study used a quantitative comparative design to compare students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in Islamic Religious Education and Cultivation subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires that measured both types of motivation. This study found that students' intrinsic motivation is more dominant than extrinsic motivation in learning Islamic Religious Education and Ethics. The analysis results show that students are more driven by an internal desire to understand the material and apply religious values. Research implications/limitations. The implication of this study is the importance of designing learning that fosters intrinsic motivation, for example, with a value-based approach. The limitations of this study include the limited sample size and the fact that it does not consider social and cultural factors that can affect motivation. Originality/value: This research provides new insights into comparing intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in the context of learning Islamic Religious Education and Ethics, which is expected to help educators design more effective and meaningful learning for students.

Pengembangan Flipbook Bersuara “Mubina” pada Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SDN Ciuyah II Kelas 4

This study aims to develop and evaluate the “MUBINA” Voiced Digital Flipbook as an innovative learning media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects for grade IV elementary school students. This research was conducted to answer the need for more interactive and interesting learning media to increase students' understanding of Islamic history, especially regarding the role of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in building the City of Medina. The research method used is design and development (D&D) with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving fourth grade students of SDN Ciuyah II, PAI teachers, and material experts. The instruments used include digital applications such as Canva, CapCut, and Heyzine in making and testing interactive flipbooks. The results showed that the use of the “MUBINA” Digital Voiced Flipbook significantly increased students' learning motivation, facilitated understanding of the material, and made the learning process more interesting than conventional methods. Learners showed a higher interest in Islamic history material and more easily remembered key concepts such as the construction of the Prophet's Mosque and the Madinah Charter. We hope that the “MUBINA” Digital Voice Flipbook can be an effective alternative learning media in Islamic education at the elementary school level. The use of technology in learning should continue to be developed to improve the overall quality of education.

Inclusive Islamic Education Learning for Students with Intellectual Disabilities in Secondary Schools

Children with intellectual disabilities are those who face challenges in their intellectual development, which is below average. To ensure they receive the same educational rights, inclusive learning systems have been introduced in the educational world. This study aims to describe the implementation of inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities in Islamic Religious Education subjects and to identify the challenges in implementing inclusive education for these children. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews, and document analysis to collect data. The researcher then performs data reduction, presents the data, and draws/validates conclusions. The research was conducted at Al Firdaus Junior High School in Sukoharjo. The research findings indicate that teachers implement inclusive learning by entirely modifying the curriculum for children with intellectual disabilities. Modifications were made in three areas: content, process, and product. The challenges faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers include when children with intellectual disabilities experience bad moods, emotional tantrums, and difficulties with content that is too challenging for them.

Implementation Team Games Tournament Learning Model Based on Wordwall Media to Improve Primary School Students Islamic Religion Education Learning Outcomes

One of the factors that causes ineffectiveness in the learning process is monotonous learning, especially in Islamic Religious Education learning. This causes many obstacles to achieving learning goals, such as learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes in implementing the Team Games Tournament learning model based on Wordwall media in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The target subjects in this research were 30 students in grade 5 at SDN 2 Bakalanpule. In carrying out this research, one pre-cycle stage and two cycle stages were used. The pre-cycle stage uses the lecture method, while the next two cycles use the Team Games Tournament learning model based on Wordwall media. Research is carried out for each cycle to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes through the Team Games Tournament model based on Wordwall media. The results obtained in the pre-cycle were an average student score of 78. Then in the second cycle, the average student score increased but was still relatively low, namely 80. And in the last cycle, the average student score increased quite rapidly, namely by 95, which means student learning outcomes have increased. The conclusion of this research is that applying the Team Games Tournament research model based on Wordwall media can positively improve student learning outcomes. The results of this research indicate that the application of the Team Games Tournament learning model based on Wordwall media can improve student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that further research be conducted to develop more effective learning models and learning media.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi Berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka pada Mata Pelajaran PAI

This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa Besar. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa is carried out by considering differences in students' interests, talents, and abilities. Teachers use various learning strategies. Learning materials are presented by integrating spiritual and moral values in everyday life. Assessments are carried out authentically by considering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The results of the implementation show an increase in student motivation, participation, and learning achievement in PAI subjects. It can be concluded that the implementation of differentiated learning based on the independent curriculum in PAI subjects at SMKN 3 Sumbawa Besar is running well and has a positive impact on student development.

Development of Snakes and Ladders Learning Media Based on Joyful Learning in Islamic Religious Education Subjects

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the senior high school level continues to face challenges in enhancing student motivation and engagement, primarily due to monotonous and minimally interactive instructional methods. To address this issue, the present study aims to develop a learning medium in the form of a Snakes and Ladders game based on a joyful learning approach, integrated with question and challenge cards, and to assess its feasibility through expert validation and limited trials. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) framework, this study adopts the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The learning medium is designed based on the thematic content of Q.S. al-Māidah / 5:48, which emphasizes competing in goodness, and Q.S. at-Taubah / 9:10, which highlights the Islamic work ethic. Validation by media experts yielded an average score of 3.85, while material experts assigned a score of 3.71, both categorized as “highly feasible.” Implementation in Grade X of senior high school demonstrated that the media enhanced students’ conceptual understanding, encouraged healthy social interactions, and nurtured their learning spirit. Despite certain limitations, such as time constraints and the dominance of the game-related elements, the media effectively supported an active and enjoyable learning process. Therefore, the snakes and ladders-based learning medium presents a promising pedagogical innovation for contextualizing Islamic Religious Education and reinforcing character development among high school students. Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Moderasi Beragama pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar

This research aims to explore two main aspects: first, the internalization of religious moderation values and the existence of Islamic Religious Education subjects at Kebonagung State Elementary School; second, the factors that support and hinder the internalization process. Using a descriptive and phenomenological qualitative approach, this research collected data from two main sources: primary and secondary data. Primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed some interesting findings: first, the internalization of religious moderation values in Kebonagung State Elementary School, Babat Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency can form tolerant attitudes and personalities, encourage students' scientific spirit and creativity, and build fair and balanced characters among students. Second, the existence of Islamic Religious Education is very crucial in improving the quality of learning at improving the quality of learning at Kebonagung State Elementary School, Babat Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency. In addition, the factors that support and hinder the internalization of religious moderation values are interrelated, with the aim of developing students' potential according to their respective talents and interests.

This research was conducted at SMK Islam Farmasi Sumbawa. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. The population of this study were students of SMK Islam Farmasi Sumbawa and the sample of this study was 38 students in class XII. This study used purposive sampling. Students’ Learning Interest: The Effectiveness of the Think Talk Write Learning Model

This research is conducted to investigate the effectiveness of using a Think-Talk-Write instructional Towards students' learning interest in the Islamic Religious Education subject at SMP Negeri 03 Bukit Kemuning, Lampung Utara. Employing a quantitative approach, this research utilizes an experimental method with a post-test only control group design. This Research Comprises two groups: a control class instructed through conventional teaching methods and an experimental class that implements The Think-Talk-Write model. The research instrument comprises a non-test questionnaire, with data collected through the distribution of validated and reliable item. The questionnaire was administered to students' learning following the instructional intervention. Data analysis Was carried out with an independent sample T-test to identify notable differences in students' learning interest among those presented to The Think-Talk-Write model and those who were not. The normality test results indicate that Information from both the experimental and control groups adheres to normal distribution, as evidenced by a significance level of 0.60, which exceeds the threshold of 0.05. Additionally, homogeneity test confirms Indicating that the information exhibit homogeneity, Having a statistical significance value of 0.448, additionally surpassing 0.05. The outcomes of the T-test reveal a Sig. (2-Tailed) value of 0.000, which is significantly lower than 0.05. Based on these findings, it can be conclusively stated that the Think-Talk-Write instructional model proves to be more effective in fostering students’ learning interest compared to conventional teaching methodologies.

Persepsi Guru PAI terhadap Penggunaan Video Animasi untuk Memahami Nilai Tanggung Jawab pada Mata Pelajaran PAI

This study aims to determine the perception of Islamic Religious Education teachers towards the use of animated videos in facilitating the understanding of the values ​​of responsibility in Islamic Religious Education subjects at MTs Darussalam Ngoro Jombang. Descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and non-participant observation, where researchers are not directly involved in the activities observed. The research sample consisted of the principal and four Islamic Religious Education teachers. The subjects of this study were Islamic Religious Education teachers. In addition, this study also aims to determine the perception of Islamic Religious Education teachers towards the use of animated videos in facilitating and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in using animated videos as a medium to teach the values ​​of responsibility in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The results of the study indicate that animated videos are considered an effective medium in facilitating students' understanding of the values ​​of responsibility. The main supporting factors are the visual appeal and storyline presented by animated videos, which increase student motivation and involvement in learning. However, limited access to technology and teacher skills in operating devices are significant inhibiting factors.

Tantangan dan Peluang Implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di Era Digital di Sekolah MTs Sa An-Nur Kecamatan Ciseeng-Bogor

Islamic education faces big challenges in adapting to developments in the digital era. This article examines the challenges and opportunities in implementing the 2013 Curriculum on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in the digital era at the MTS SA An-Nur School, Ciseeng District, Bogor. This research identifies the positive and negative impacts of technology integration in PAI learning, as well as the challenges faced by teachers and students. The main focus of this research is the importance of digital literacy, interactive learning, and curriculum adaptation to meet contemporary cultural needs. Even though digital technology offers various innovations and wider accessibility, it is important to ensure that the integration of this technology remains in accordance with Islamic principles and strengthens Islamic identity in the educational process.

Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis QR Code untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran PAI di SMAN 15 Surabaya

This research is a type of development research or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques in this study were through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the development of QR Code-based teaching materials was carried out through five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the development of these teaching materials are suitable for use as teaching materials in class X in the PAI subject at SMAN 15 Surabaya. Student learning interest in the experimental class reached 87.26% with a very good category while the control class reached 81% with a very good category. So, the percentage of learning interest in the experimental class is greater than the control class. The development of QR Code-based teaching materials to increase student learning interest in the PAI subject at SMAN 15 Surabaya can be seen from the results of the unpaired sample t-test analysis through the SPSS version 26 application with a significance level of 0.05 obtained Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 (0.000 <0.05). So Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that the development of QR Code-based teaching materials can increase students' interest in learning Islamic Religious Education subjects in class X at SMAN 15 Surabaya.

Implementasi Asesmen Diagnostik Non Kognitif Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Kelas IV di SD Negeri

Learning and assessment are two elements that complement each other and cannot be separated. Assessment is an important part of learning to ensure the achievement of the expected educational goals. To realize effective learning and assessment, a knowledge transfer process that is able to achieve student learning goals is needed, as well as an evaluation process to find out the extent to which students have understood the material being taught. In the Independent Curriculum, non-cognitive diagnostic assessment is one of the important aspects, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects in elementary schools. Religious education plays a role in shaping personality and has a positive impact on the life of the nation, because its values are able to permeate various aspects of individual life. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method that focuses on human experience. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data, with research subjects of grade IV students and PAI teachers at SD Negeri 158 Palembang. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis includes collecting, reducing, presenting data, and verifying or drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the implementation of non-cognitive diagnostic assessments in PAI subjects is divided into three stages: (1) Preparation, namely the identification of assessment instruments at the beginning of the semester; (2) Implementation, which is carried out in class at the end of class hours; and (3) Follow-up, in the form of analysis of assessment results by teachers. Supporting factors include teacher understanding, training, infrastructure, and parent involvement. However, the obstacles that arise include a lack of technical understanding, time constraints, and a lack of training and assessment tools.

Learning Management in Islamic Religious Education: Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum and Its Challenges

This research aims to describe the implementation of learning management in Islamic Religious Education at junior high schools in Manado, encompassing planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method at SMPN 4 Manado and SMPN 5 Manado. The respondents were four teachers teaching Islamic Religious Education subjects at both schools. Data was collected through survey and interview techniques. The research results show that the teachers understand and can implement Islamic Religious Education learning management well, starting from the planning stage, which includes preparing the Learning Objectives Flow (LOF) and teaching modules before conducting the learning process. At the learning implementation management stage, all respondents used Project Based Learning (PjBL) supported by interactive learning media. Respondents used formative and summative assessments at the learning evaluation management stage to evaluate student learning outcomes. However, the interviews revealed several obstacles faced by the teachers, such as limited media, facilities, and classrooms, as well as the adjustment from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. Solutions include using the hall, the prayer room, studying outside the classroom, and borrowing media and facilities from the school to carry out the teaching and learning process. Additionally, the respondents independently utilized several Merdeka Curriculum platforms to develop their skills in learning management. Efforts to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Education Learning through the Sharing Model and Audio Visual Media at Ie Seuum State Elementary School

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the Sharing Model and the use of Audio-Visual Media in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students of Neferi Ie Seeum Elementary School. The data of this study were obtained through systematic observation, evaluation, and reflection, teachers can adjust their teaching methods to better suit students' needs. The iterative nature of CAR allows for continuous improvement in the learning process. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative Pre Experiment Design in the form of One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The results of the study indicate that an interactive and multimedia-based learning approach creates a more dynamic classroom environment, thereby improving students' understanding and retention of material.

The selection of learning methods in the learning process is one of the steps that a teacher must take when teaching. In the learning process, teachers are required to use learning methods which are interesting and also always involve students in learning. If a teacher chooses the right learning method and also students are interested in the learning, then it can be said that the learning process is successful. Research conducted by researchers at SMP Muhammadiyah 57 shows that the learning process still uses the Teacher Center learning system, a system that is still teacher-centred and not student-centred. So that many students are less actively involved and also creative in the learning process. In this study, the Game Based Learning method was used. This study aims to determine the effect of Game Based Learning learning method on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 57.

Improving Student Learning Outcomes through the Implementation of the Make A Match Cooperative Learning Model in Islamic Education Learning at SD Negeri 23 Bandar Baru

This study aims to test the effect of implementing the Make A Match cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SD Negeri 23 Bandar Baru. This study used a quasi-experimental design with two groups, namely the experimental group that implemented the Make A Match model and the control group that used traditional teaching methods. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a significant increase in their learning outcomes, both in terms of understanding the material and retention of important concepts in Islamic Religious Education. In addition, based on the learning interest questionnaire, students in the experimental group also showed increased engagement and higher motivation during learning. Further classroom observations confirmed these findings, where students in the experimental group were more active in discussing and collaborating with their classmates. This study suggests that implementing the Make A Match model can improve student learning outcomes and engagement in Islamic Religious Education learning, and can be an effective alternative to traditional teaching methods.

Implementation of the Jigsaw Method in Improving Learning Outcomes of the Pillars of Islam and Pillars of Faith Material at SD Negeri 0404 Pasar Ujung Batu

This study aims to analyze the application of the Jigsaw method in improving learning outcomes of the Pillars of Islam and Pillars of Faith material at SD Negeri 0404 Pasar Ujung Batu. The Jigsaw method is a cooperative learning model that emphasizes cooperation between students in understanding the material in depth. In this method, students are divided into small groups and each member is responsible for studying and explaining certain parts of the material to their group mates. This study uses a quantitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects of the study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 0404 Pasar Ujung Batu. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the application of the Jigsaw method can improve students' understanding of the Pillars of Islam and Pillars of Faith material. This can be seen from the increase in the average value of student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In addition, the Jigsaw method also contributes to increasing active student participation, training communication skills, and creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. With increased learning outcomes and student involvement, the Jigsaw method can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy. These findings provide implications for teachers in developing innovative learning methods that can improve students' understanding, especially in Islamic Religious Education subjects in elementary schools.

Improving the Quality of Islamic Education Learning by Using Learning Video Media at SD Negeri Kain Golong

This study aims to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning on the subject of humble attitude by using learning video media in class IV of SDN Kain Golong, Aceh Singkil. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 25 fourth grade students and an Islamic Religious Education subject teacher. The data for this study were obtained using test, observation, and interview techniques. The test was used to measure student learning outcomes before and after the application of learning video media, while observation was used to analyze teacher and student learning activities during the learning process. In addition, interviews were conducted to determine student and teacher responses to the use of video media in learning. The data analysis techniques used in this study were qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis, which included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the use of learning video media can improve students' understanding of the subject of humble attitude, increase learning motivation, and make the learning atmosphere more interesting and interactive. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the percentage of student completion reached 65%, while in cycle II it increased to 88%. In addition, observations show that student activity in the learning process also increased, marked by their involvement in discussions and active participation during learning.
