This study analyzed the effects of differentiated experiments adapted to the differentiated and selective7th curriculum on the d evelopm ent of inquiry ability. And this study studied the perception of students on dif d te ia ent r e fexperim ents. For this study, dif ferentiated inquiry activities on chem ical reaction were developed and applied to theexperim ental group of 10th grade science circle students w hile the conventional extracurricular science activity lessonsw ere applied to the control group. According to the results, it w as f ound that the students treated w ith alternative dif-f erentiated experim ents emphasizing social interactions got higher scores than those with conventional experim ents inthe test of inquiry ability and learning m otivation. The diff erence w as rem arkable f or the students at transitional and for-m al operational level, especially in the experim ental planning ability. It seem s that this ability co mes from interac tionsin the selection process of exper iments.
