The incursion of digital technologies has radically transformed the educational landscape, including the musical field. The study aims to determine the effects of Educational Technology on the acquisition of knowledge and basic skills of musical composition and arrangement in students of the Musical Education career in El Alto. The selected approach is quantitative, explanatory type of research, pre-experimental design. The group consisted of 40 students. Observation techniques were used and a questionnaire survey with closed questions was applied. The findings reveal a dichotomy between the willingness of students to use educational software and their current practice, where a significant percentage still do not use technological tools to strengthen their knowledge. The conclusions indicate that there is a discrepancy between the expressed interest and the current mastery of musical theory suggesting that students recognize the value of technology as a complementary tool to strengthen knowledge and skills.
