Implementation of Student Data Applications at Tinta Emas Vocational High School

Every organization expects convenience, speed, efficiency and accuracy in their activities, but the level of mastery a technology in each person varies, it becomes a factor in the difficulty of implementing a technology directly. SMK Tinta Emas, is an educational organization that has a vision to improve services in the school service information system to make easier student registration process. This system will accelerate the work process and achieve work effectiveness. The problem that occurs at SMK Tinta Emas is how to implement the application for staffs and teachers with various information technology knowledge backgrounds therefore in the application later there will not be many obstacles that occur due to errors in the use of student data. The community service team as an intermediary between the makers of the student data system involved in the system was asked to provide direction in socialization and education. Finally, the community service team hopes that this implementation and socialization will produce good results for the smooth process of modernizing school student data by applying information technology.

Opting out of neighbourhood schools: The role of local education markets in student mobility

AbstractOpen enrolment policies assume that students living in disadvantaged areas can access better schools outside their neighbourhood. However, characteristics of individuals, quality of schooling and neighbourhood characteristics interact in very complex ways to produce heterogeneous patterns of school choice in local educational markets. This article analyses how the geography of educational opportunities, the socioeconomic background of students' families and the characteristics of their residential areas, impact on the travel‐to‐school distance in Barcelona. Based on a unique data set of school and student registers from Barcelona's local education authority, our study shows that distances travelled by students with the same social background vary depending on the characteristics of educational supply and the income of the neighbourhood. While socially advantaged students tend to travel longer distances than their peers from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, geographical and educational factors mediate to produce high heterogeneity in mobility patterns. Our findings cast doubt on the supposed virtue of school choice to reduce education inequalities and underline the need to consider the diversity of local microeducation markets in policymaking and planning.

Silesian Painters and Sculptors at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in the Years 1726–1780. A Contribution to the History of Academism in the Early Modern Period

The Vienna Academy was the most important art academy for German-speaking artists in the Baroque period. It shaped the development of art in the capital of the Habsburg monarchy as well as on its periphery, including in Silesia, yet the relationships between Silesian sculptors and painters and the Vienna Academy have been overlooked by scholars. Research in the Academy archives sheds light on a number of important issues related to the social, economic, and artistic aspects of the education and the subsequent activities of Vienna Academy alumni. Surviving student registers record the names of Silesian painters and sculptors studying in Vienna and offer insights into other aspects of education at the Academy.

Implementasi Algoritma Rough Set Untuk Memprediksi Jumlah Pendaftar Siswa Baru Pada SMK Swasta Sinar Harapan

ABSTRACT
 Where the number of new student registrants at the Sinar Harapan Private Vocational School is unstable every year and the school has difficulty predicting how many new student registrants will be in the coming year and preparing extracurricular activities such as English/computer training or the best facilities for new students such as chairs, tables, classrooms and so on, as well as the competitiveness of private schools in the district. banyan. So we need a system that can dig up data and help predict the number of new student registrants, using data mining techniques, namely the Rough Set Algorithm which aims to get a short rule estimate from a table, in this study using student registration data in 2018, 2019, 2020. By applying data mining with the rough set algorithm and carrying out the rough set stages, it can produce decisions in the form of generating rules (knowledge), and the results of the calculation analysis are 152 students to predict the number of students in the coming year.

This study aims to integrate all administrative processes in managing theses in a Web-based system and speed up the process of disseminating information or announcements, determining, determining exam schedules for students, evaluating student exam results and providing a means for online thesis guidance processes between lecturers and students. through a computerized chat feature via the website. This research uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) system development model. This research resulted in a website-based system using the PHP programming language and using the MySql database. The results of this study broadly consist of three stages, namely the input stage which includes input of student registration data, lecturer data, schedule data, information/news data, value data, and determination data. determination of lecturers, scheduling process, examination assessment process, information dissemination process, and chat and correction processes while the output stage consists of the output of student test scores, determination of assistant lecturers, schedule and information.

IMPROVING BUSINESS PROCESSES BY USING LARAVEL ON THE NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION SYSTEM OF SD MARSUDIRINI GEDANGAN SEMARANG

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the delta variant was pretty crazy with high deaths, high transmission and increasing cases, so the government pulled the emergency brake in the form of emergency PPKM. Emergency PPKM up to PPKM level 1-4 where education is still 100% working from home. So that new student registration activities should be carried out using internet media and web-based applications. For prospective students who will enroll in the school, it can make it easier for them to register online, the registration menu is still in the form of uploading files. One of the PHP frameworks often recommended by PHP programming forums is the Laravel framework. So that the process of developing the registration information system of Marsudirini Elementary School uses the Laravel Framework. Considering the development of the web-based programming world with the emergence of the PHP Framework, the system development method also adapts to the concept of the PHP Framework, where the basis of the PHP Framework is Object Oriented Programming (OOP) PHP. Then the application development for SD Marsudirini Gedangan Semarang school registration system uses the Scrum method. The need for a registration information system consists of 2 business processes, namely the registration process and the admission process for new students, where the entire process will be a reporting to stakeholders. With the use of the Laravel framework, there is an improvement in the process of registering and uploading files, as well as verifying files by the registration administration.

Online New Student Registration System for SMA Negeri 1 Ketaggungan Brebes Using the CodeIgniter Framework

New student registration system manually is still used by some schools in Indonesia. But the problem is that prospective students are still many who feel difficulty with the system of the manual registration and of course they need registration system which more quick and efficient. Moreover, the conditions of the pandemic at this time, where there are rules to keep the protocol of the Health. Such as keeping physical distancing and limiting public service. The research method used in this research is the design and manufacture of the system, namely to design web-based system of a new student registration that can be accessed through a web browser. The online registration system of new students is built with PHP programming language and utilizing a MySQL database as a database server, and using the Codeigniter Framework. The result of this research is the web-based online registration system of new students already have the ability to provide convenience for prospective students to obtain all the information about the acceptance of new students and do the online registration process.

Carers and higher education: Where next?

Although widening access policies have led to greater prioritisation of carers in higher education, strategies to address their needs remain underdeveloped. This paper puts forward a dual approach to progressing this agenda that recognises all students who have or have had experience of caring. Using an established theoretical lens on retention, institutional strategies for improving the success of carers studying in higher education are proposed. These strategies include flexible study programmes; affordances for social engagement; recognising carers' unique career trajectories: providing financial aid and advice; and establishing systems to identify student carers. The second element of the dual approach focuses on improving and extending the currently very limited evidence base on carers and higher education so that it can underpin and progress the development of effective strategies and initiatives. Central to this is the universal adoption of the term 'caring-experienced students'; local and national student carer registration and record-keeping systems; sensitivity to differences within the caring-experienced student population; adoption of a strengths-based framing of caring-experienced students; and establishing knowledge exchange mechanisms to share new knowledge. The analysis presented aims to stimulate thinking and serves as a timely steer for further debate about carers' participation and retention in higher education.

A blockchain-based information management system for academic institutions: a case study of international students’ workflow

PurposeThis study aims to explore the impact of applying a blockchain-based information system in the international students’ administrative workflow in the context of a public research university in the USA.Design/methodology/approachSpecifically, a prototype of the blockchain-based information system was developed and tested. The system has the potential advantages of being more efficient, more transparent, faster and safer.FindingsThe results show that digital registration could increase student registration efficiency with a blockchain-based application.Research limitations/implicationsThere are also some limitations of this study. As an early exploration of the use of blockchain technology in higher education, this study could be further extended in several aspects: different institutions (e.g. private vs public school) may have different operational strategies towards international student affairs. The different administrative processes should be discussed in the context of different institutions, and thus the proposed system should be tested and evaluated based on the requirements of different institutions. Use experience and feedback from different users such as university administrators and students should be considered and investigated with respect to the necessary improvement of the proposed system. The extensibility and scalability of the system should be assessed to accommodate any potential modifications of the administrative process.Originality/valueThe findings show that a blockchain-based information management system has the potential to improve data transmission efficiency and protect information privacy.

Implementation of Enterprise Information System Registration and Registration of new Students is a business process in Vocational High School Education, the need for dynamic data collection is a problem that must be solved by unified modelling languange (UML) scheme, a system that can be flexible and responsive. Data integration needs are the ultimate goal of an information system to be able to process data, both for its own needs and to display information to the relevant part in terms of user and data needs for other information systems. In addition, the results of the admission selection of new students are more accurate and prospective students are accepted in accordance with the expected results.

Management of Admission of New Learners Zoning System to Equalize the Quality of Educational Services to Learners

The gap in the quantity and quality of education between regions, discrimination, and injustice in access and education services is exacerbated by the dichotomy of only and non-superior schools widening the gap in the quality of education in Indonesia. To increase the distribution of quality and equitable quality education services to students, a zoning system PPDB management is needed. On that basis, this study aims to describe the PPDB management of the zoning system to equalize the quality of education services for students at the Tasikmalaya Regency State Senior High School, which includes planning, organizing, preparing personnel, implementing, coordinating, reporting, and budgeting. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The research location is SMA Negeri 1 Ciawi, SMA Negeri 1 Karangnunggal and SMA Negeri 1 Cikalong, Tasikmalaya Regency. This study resulted in that: 1) Planning for the zoning system PPDB includes setting goals, formulating current conditions, identifying facilities and obstacles, and developing a series of activities. 2) Organizing the zoning system PPDB includes preparing the organizational structure, dividing workloads, and determining the lines of coordination and authority. 3) Preparation of PPDB personnel for the zoning system includes needs analysis, recruitment of committees according to the main tasks and functions, and training of organizing committees to work according to their duties and functions. 4) Implementation includes PPDB registration, data verification, and selection of prospective students, meeting to determine PPDB selection results, the announcement of PPDB results, and re-registration. 5) Coordination includes coordination with internal schools and coordination with external schools. 6) Reporting includes reports on recapitulation of re-registration received and re-registration, class division, submission of student files to BP/BK and student affairs, evaluation, and preparation of reports. 7) Budgeting includes budget planning and realization of budget use. 8) Obstacles can be seen from technical and non-technical constraints. 9) Solutions and improvement efforts can be seen from technical solutions and non-technical solutions.

Turnout for What? Do Colleges Prepare Informed Voters?

One of the traditional aims of higher education is to prepare informed citizens who are civically engaged. Although many voters are underinformed, there are multiple social benefits to having an informed electorate. Therefore, colleges should aspire to not only increase student voter turnout but to prepare informed voters. In this article, I use matching procedures to account for precollege civic engagement and estimate treatment effects of taking at least one community college course. I find that taking political science influences college student voter registration, voter turnout, and ability to correctly answer questions about the roles of U.S. political institutions.

EFEKTIVITAS SISTEM PENERIMAAN PESERTA DIDIK BARU (PPDB) SECARA ONLINE DI SMPN 21 BATAM KEPULAUAN RIAU

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the online New Student Admission System (PPDB) at SMPN 21 Batam in Batam City and to determine the factors that support and hinder its implementation. The research approach used to examine the effectiveness of the New Student Admission System (PPDB) at SMPN 21 Batam is qualitative. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. Admission of new students online is quite efficient, but when viewed from the effectiveness point of view, it is actually effective because there are still many people who do not understand the procedure for registering online. Based on the results of interviews conducted by researchers with several research informants, it can be seen that the community has been able to adjust to the online new student registration system. The continuation of PPDB online, it was concluded that the implementation or continuity of online PPDB at SMP Negeri 21 Batam is getting better, people are increasingly understanding.

Gender differences in perceived stress and coping among college students

BackgroundMany college students register each semester for courses, leading to productive careers and fulfilled lives. During this time, the students have to manage many stressors stemming from academic, personal, and, sometimes, work lives. Students, who lack appropriate stress management skills, may find it difficult to balance these responsibilities.ObjectivesThis study examined stress, coping mechanisms, and gender differences in undergraduate students towards the end of the semester.Design and methodUniversity students (n = 448) enrolled in three different undergraduate exercise science courses were assessed. Two instruments, the Perceived Stress Scale and Brief Cope, were administered during the twelfth week of the semester, four weeks prior to final exams. T-tests were used to detect gender differences for the stress levels and coping strategies.ResultsOverall, females indicated higher levels of stress than their male counterparts. Gender differences were evident in both coping dimensions and individual coping strategies used. Females were found to utilize the emotion-focused coping dimension and endorsed the use of four coping strategies more often than males. These included self-distraction, emotional support, instrumental support, and venting.ConclusionsThis research adds to the existing literature by illuminating the level of perceived stress and different coping strategies used by undergraduate female and male students. In turn, students may need educational interventions to develop effective and healthy coping strategies to last a lifetime. Faculty and other university officials may want to highlight and understand these various factors to protect the students’ wellbeing in their classes.

The existence of a system that is applied online can help and facilitate human work in various aspects of life so that it is easier and more effective. The implementation of the registration of prospective new students is used as the initial process of entering a new level in education. The implementation of the registration of prospective new students who have to come directly to the school to fill out the registration form is considered ineffective and inefficient. So, to make the registration process easier, it is necessary to create an online registration information system. For the analysis stage using flowcharts, activity diagrams, use case diagrams, Erd, and hierarchies for the design stage using class diagrams. With the design of a web-based system, it can simplify the process of registering new members, storing data relating to new student registrations can be stored neatly using a database and information relating to new student registration can be obtained quickly and accurately.

Vaccination status of medical students and faculty members

Objectives: To analyze the student's and professor's vaccinal situation of a medical course. Methods: It is a transversal and quantitative research, done in 2019, which aimed to identify if preconized vaccines of Programa Nacional de Imunização (PNI) were administered or not. The data was obtained through a questionnaire applied to professors and students from the 1st to the 12th period, under CAAE 08246918.1.0000.5237. Posteriorly, it was done an inferential and comparative analysis with literature and vaccinal data from previous research done in 2014, at the same institution, that evaluated vaccination for hepatitis B, dT, varicella, influenza, and HPV. Results: Despite the rise in vaccination of students from 2014 to 2019, most of PNI coverage goals were not reached in 2019. As a result, it is necessary to maintain the incentives for vaccination in the health sector since the sample is constituted of a high-risk group of infectious contagious diseases. Conclusion: The implementation of an action plan for the exigence of the updated vaccinal chart as a prerequisite for registration of medical students must be considered. It is expected that it would reinforce the relevance of vaccination for diseases that are preventable through immunization.

English for Us (EFU) is a foreign language course institution owned by individuals. This course is devoted to learning English. Currently English has been recognized as an international language, so many parents want their children to learn English as early as possible. With the increasing number of students in English for Us, it is necessary to develop a data processing system to support the business process. Therefore, by taking advantage of advances in information technology which is currently growing very rapidly, EFU wants to create a data processing application system that will facilitate the performance of admins in conducting the new student registration process, managing student and teacher data and managing finances. The system to be designed is in the form of an android application created using Android Studio. The device that will be used in making this system uses Java as a scripting language, Android Studio as an android-based application maker and MySQL as a database processor. Based on the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the application system that will be produced is able to facilitate the performance of the admin in processing data efficiently. And this application system will also make it easier for parents to register online.

The online student registration information system is seen as very important in this era of digitalization. What's more, there is the convenience and efficiency that is obtained when registering online. The problem of time, distance and place is no longer an obstacle in registering on time. Therefore, this service aims to provide an understanding of the online admissions information system at SMA Negeri 1 Sejangkung. This community service workshop was attended by 20 people consisting of teachers and students from SMA Negeri 1 Sejangkung. This training workshop was carried out using a system demonstration method, lectures, discussions with participants and questions and answers. This training workshop provides information to teachers and students at SMA Negeri 1 Sejangkung about the importance of an online registration system to facilitate the student registration process, which no longer has to be face-to-face or come directly to school.

ONLINE COURSE REGISTRATION APPLICATION AT EDEN EVERYDAY ENGLISH BOGOR

The course is one of the education provided outside formal (non-formal) schools to develop personal abilities and skills. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is an Institution located in Bogor. In this institution, the registration process for students is done manually by filling in the registration form provided by the admin. Eden Everyday English Course Institute is one of the courses where the number of applicants increases every year, this causes the administration department cannot manage everything properly and feels overwhelmed so that it is not effective. With the increase in the number of students registering each year, it would be better if a web-based registration system was created, so that it could simultaneously serve as a medium for promoting the course institution. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based application to help the process of registration for new students in Eden Everyday English Course Institute using the waterfall method. Many studies, especially in the field of information system development, use the Waterfall method. This online course registration application is effective and efficient because it is supported by an integrated system. This application improves the quality of information and the efficiency of the implementation of online course registration.
