Another area of concern in the management of youth offenders in this respect of statutory framework in Pakistan is the aspect of rehabilitation, which requires further analysis and improvement. Thus, the nature of this research work involves the critically examining of the current legal structures and processes of youth offenders’ rehabilitation in Pakistan. The paper uses qualitative methods in examining the different angles of the said legal provisions in order to analyze its effectiveness, the ways by which they were put into practice, and how they contributed to the rehabilitation process. This research concerns a critical analysis of legislation, agency policies and practices of the institutions based on legislation, in order to facilitate an identification exposure of the strengths and weaknesses of the current statutory provisions. From using interviews, case studies and thematic analysis, the research aims to explore the research questions of how young people experience, perceive and manage their lives when undergoing the rehabilitation process in Pakistan. The purpose of the analysis is to define the shortcomings and challenges of the legal regulations to learn about the problems that have to be solved to enhance the legislation. Topically, this study endeavours to provide more elaborative understanding of various socio-cultural, economical and systems factors that interact with the process of rehabilitating young offenders with the aim of reintegrating them into the society. The envisaged outcome is therefore development of a road-map for improvement and enhancement of legal provisions relating to youths in the crime circle of Pakistan. Therefore, this research aims at providing more enriched, comprehensive, and restorative youth offender rehabilitation models that will help their integration into the useful Pakistani society.
