  • Dec 1, 2025
  • International Journal of Evaluation and Research in Education (IJERE)
  • Elvira Yeshenkulova + 5 more

Contemporary training of future educators necessitates the development of not only professional but also spiritual and creative qualities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an online course utilizing a chatbot to enhance the spiritual and creative potential of students in pedagogical disciplines. The research involved 534 of 4thyear students from two universities in Kazakhstan, divided into an experimental group (n=268) and a control group (n=266). The experimental group completed six modules covering creative thinking, spiritual development, public speaking, and other aspects of self-development. Pre- and post-course surveys assessed five indicators of spiritual health: vitality, resilience, values, meaning, and openness to change. The intervention resulted in a significant improvement in three key indicators: resilience, values, and meaning. These enhancements are likely to contribute to better preparation of future educators by strengthening their resilience to professional challenges, helping them understand their values and goals, and enhancing their awareness of the significance of education for society.

  • Nov 30, 2025
  • Cognizance Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies
  • Johannis Tsoumas

The teaching of visual arts has been one of the most important topics of discussion regarding its integration into national educational systems, especially after World War II. Today, it is widely accepted that visual arts, through the application of aesthetic education, serve not only as an effective tool for shaping children’s character and fostering their spiritual development, but also as a vital means of communication with the outside world. For this reason, visual arts have become an integral part of the curriculum in most schools around the world, including Greece. This research aims to stress the importance of aesthetic education so as to document and highlight how the Greek educational system has incorporated the teaching of visual arts into its broader curriculum in Primary and Secondary schools. By shedding light on the often-overlooked aspects of this important educational process, the study emphasizes the critical role of the teacher and the significant impact of visual arts education on students’ personal development.

  • Nov 30, 2025
  • IEMJ: Islamic Education and Management Journal
  • Tria Ratnasari

Rapid social changes in the era of globalization demand new approaches to solving complex problems in education. Through a literature study using a descriptive-analytical approach, this qualitative research in the form of a literature study aims to identify the relevance of Iqbal's hermeneutic thinking in the renewal of Islamic educational thinking. Data was obtained through documentation techniques. The results of the study show that Iqbal's hermeneutics offer a paradigm that positions education as a process of liberation and transformation. Education is no longer merely the transmission of dogma, but also the development of critical reasoning, spirituality, and human consciousness. This study contributes to the position of Hadith hermeneutics, not only opening up space for humanistic interpretation of the hadith, but also encouraging the emergence of critical, contextual, and liberating Islamic educational thought.

The Al-Qur'an Based Pedagogical Model of Surah Al-Insyirah Verses 5–6 in Character Formation at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
  • Nov 30, 2025
  • Fikroh: Jurnal Pemikiran dan Pendidikan Islam
  • Bobi Mahbobi Rahmatulloh + 2 more

The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of the values of the Qur'an contained in Surah Al-Insyirah verses 5–6 in strengthening character education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. This study focuses on how the concepts of patience, resilience, and optimism taken from the meaning of the verse "Indeed, with hardship comes ease" are internalized in school activities to shape the moral and spiritual development of students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the internalization of the values of Surah Al-Insyirah verses 5–6 was carried out through three main strategies, namely habituation in school culture, integration in Islamic Religious Education subjects, and teacher role modeling. These strategies were proven to contribute significantly to improving students' attitudes of patience, responsibility, and gratitude. This study is not only descriptive but also develops a conceptual framework for a revelation-based pedagogical model that places the values of the Qur'an as the basis for character building. These findings expand Islamic education theory by showing how Qur'anic verses can be formulated into applicable pedagogical principles in the context of madrasahs. Implicitly, this study contributes to contemporary Islamic education practices by offering a reflective and habitual learning approach based on Qur'anic values, which can strengthen the spiritual, moral, and social dimensions of students in the modern era.

KONSEP TAZKIYATUN NAFS DALAM KIDUNG WAHYU KOLOSEBO KARYA SRI NARENDRA KALASEBA
  • Nov 29, 2025
  • Jurnal Recoms
  • Wisnu Mahendra Ramadhani + 1 more

This study explores the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs (spiritual purification) in Kidung Wahyu Kolosebo by Sri Narendra Kalaseba as a form of integration between Islamic spirituality and Javanese culture. Using a qualitative approach with hermeneutic and Sufistic methods, the research interprets the symbolism and spiritual meaning contained in the song’s lyrics in relation to Imam al-Ghazali’s Sufi teachings, particularly the three stages of soul purification: Takhalli (emptying oneself of negative traits), Tahalli (adorning oneself with virtuous qualities), and Tajalli (divine illumination). The findings reveal that Kidung Wahyu Kolosebo serves not merely as a cultural artifact of aesthetic value but also as a medium of da’wah and spiritual education, guiding individuals to control their desires, cultivate noble character, and attain closeness to Allah SWT. Its lyrics portray the inner journey from self-restraint to spiritual enlightenment, symbolized by the phrase “wahyu kolosebo,” representing the unification of the servant’s will with the Divine will. This study concludes that Javanese traditional literature can function as an effective medium for moral and spiritual development in contemporary society, demonstrating harmony between Sufi values and the local wisdom of the Nusantara.

  • Nov 28, 2025
  • Sutasoma : Jurnal Sastra Jawa
  • Hikmatun Balighoh Nur Fitriyati + 1 more

Serat Sastra Gendhing, a didactic Javanese literary source written by Sultan Agung Hanyakrakusuma, combines Sufi Islamic and indigenous Javanese spiritual thought. This research wishes to expose the psycho-sufistic values found in Serat Sastra Gendhing, and discuss their relation with transpersonal psychology. The research employs a qualitative method with an interpretive-hermeneutic approach through library research on three main manuscript versions. The analysis was conducted thematically on eight macapat poetic forms supported by psychological and Sufi theories. The results show that Serat Sastra Gendhing contains three central psycho-sufistic values: (1) existential awareness through sangkan paraning dumadi, which reflects the origin and purpose of human life; (2) self-control through aja dumeh and eling lan waspada; and (3) cosmic awareness through memayu hayuning bawana, which emphasizes harmony between humans, nature, and God. These three values represent the stages of spiritual consciousness development aligned with the concepts of self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-transcendence in transpersonal psychology. The study concludes that Serat Sastra Gendhing is a psycho-sufistic work that integratively unites Islamic spirituality, psychology, and Javanese culture.

AGI as Universal Comprehensive Technology of Creative Life Activity
  • Nov 26, 2025
  • International Journal of Intelligent Information Systems
  • Evgeny Bryndin

AGI is regarded as an intelligent technology for universal and comprehensive use. The lack of a common language for all peoples, as an effective linguistic communication technology, led to the creation of a moral, objective, universal, and comprehensive AGI technology. The possibility of creating a moral, objective AGI as a universal, comprehensive technology for creative life implies that it can assist individuals and nations in spiritual and creative development, as well as in the search for meaning in life and harmony in creative activity. AGI can serve as an objective aid in understanding spiritual, scientific, and practical issues, foster the development of ethical values, and expand human capabilities in creative activity. It is important to consider the ethical, moral, and spiritual aspects of using such technologies to ensure they do not disrupt the natural balance or lead to destructive consequences. Thus, the creation of universally applicable AGI opens up prospects for strengthening human connections with higher spiritual values, provided its use is approached responsibly and consciously. Informational aspects of living nature play a crucial role in the creation of universally applicable AGI. Understanding the living information of nature helps people and society to more consciously and harmoniously carry out creative life activities in the environment, maintaining balance and biodiversity, based on the AGI of universal comprehensive use.

This study aims to examine the contribution of educational psychology in the context of Christian education, particularly for educators, school principals, Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers, Sunday school teachers, pastors, elders, and church servants. This theoretical study shows that educational psychology helps in understanding the characteristics of learners, optimizing teaching methods, building effective teacher-student relationships, and enhancing motivation and involvement in the learning and preaching process. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through a review of books, literature, journals, notes, and relevant reports. Educational psychology plays a significant role for all those involved in Christian education and ministry. CRE teachers and Sunday school teachers have a crucial role in instilling faith values in the younger generation by understanding the learning needs of children according to their cognitive and spiritual development stages. This enables them to deliver God's word in an engaging and meaningful way. Meanwhile, pastors, elders, and church servants require an understanding of educational psychology to carry out more wise pastoral ministry. Psychological understanding helps them provide spiritual guidance, counseling, and support for members who are struggling. Educational psychology also equips church servants to lead with empathy, listen with their hearts, and guide the congregation towards true spiritual restoration. The integration of educational psychology with Christian faith significantly impacts the improvement of learning and church ministry, producing individuals who are intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually balanced.

TRADITIONAL AND MODERN EDUCATION IN HARMONY: A CONTENT ANALYSIS OF HAKIM MUHAMMAD SAEED’S EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
  • Nov 24, 2025
  • Contemporary Journal of Social Science Review
  • Abida Raheem + 2 more

This qualitative study examines Hakim Muhammad Saeed's educational philosophy, emphasizing his pragmatic approach to balancing contemporary scientific education with traditional Islamic wisdom. Pakistan's ongoing educational dualism, a crisis stemming from colonial frameworks that has shattered intellectual identity and national cohesion, is the fundamental issue discussed. Three main, connected pillars are identified by the study through a methodical qualitative content analysis of Saeed's vast corpus, which includes Aqwal-e-Saeed, editorials, and institutional records of the Madinat al-Hikmah and the Hamdard Foundation. These three main conclusions are: holistic pedagogy, ethical scientific integration, and moral and spiritual development (Tameer-e-Seerat). According to the analysis, Saeed's framework offers a philosophical road map that cuts beyond institutional and ideological barriers and offers insightful guidance for modern curriculum changes like the Single National Curriculum (SNC). Saeed's integrative model provides a workable framework for attaining quality, equity, and moral coherence in contemporary Pakistani education, according to the study's conclusion that true educational synthesis necessitates epistemological commitment above administrative conformity.

Sanatana Dharma, the Unbroken Thread of Hindu Religion: Its Journey Through the Ages - A Literature Review
  • Nov 17, 2025
  • INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT
  • Dr Pr Chandra Reddy + 1 more

Anstract: This literature review traces the historical, philosophical, and cultural continuity of Sanatana Dharma, the eternal law that underlies the Hindu way of life. Beginning with the conceptual foundations of Dharma and the spiritual essence of the Vedas, the study explores how Aryan migrations shaped the early religious and social landscape of India. The transformation from an ideal system of division of labour (Varna Dharma) to a rigid caste hierarchy is examined through textual and historical perspectives. The review also delves into the evolution of temple culture, the sacred arts of sound and dance, and the role of warfare within the country. Subsequent sections analyze the profound disruptions caused by Islamic conquests, including temple desecrations, religious persecution, and the imposition of oppressive taxation systems. Yet, amid centuries of turmoil, Sanatana Dharma displayed remarkable resilience, as reflected in the Bhagavad Gita, which encapsulates its moral and metaphysical essence. The review further highlights the educational structure described in the Mahabharata, revealing how the Chaturvarna system once functioned as an inclusive framework of knowledge and duty before its later distortion. Finally, the discussion turns to Hinduism’s enduring strength in diversity, its ethos of tolerance, and its adaptive engagement with other faiths through the centuries. Concluding with the invocation ‘Shantih, Shantih, Shantih,’ symbolizing peace at the physical, mental, and spiritual levels, the study reaffirms that Sanatana Dharma remains not merely a religion but an unbroken civilizational continuum, rooted in timeless principles and capable of renewing itself through every historical challenge. Keywords: Sanatana Dharma; Hinduism; Vedic tradition; Upanishads; Bhagavad Gita; Indian philosophy; Dharma; cultural continuity; Vedanta; spiritual evolution; Indus-Sarasvati civilization; religious tolerance; Hindu resilience; spiritual heritage of India.

Spirit alive: now and forever. Critical reflection on three decades of John Fisher’s research into spirituality
  • Nov 17, 2025
  • International Journal of Children's Spirituality
  • John W Fisher

ABSTRACT This paper presents critical reflection on John Fisher’s three decades of research, through three doctorates and beyond, in spirituality for health and well-being undertaken in educational, community and healthcare settings. Initial research led to a four domains model, which underpinned the development of several measures for students from primary to tertiary levels, which have been widely used and reported, together with a study of views from pre-school teachers and parents. Recent reflection on research from this model to measures, and importance of relating with God, led to a search for the foundation of spiritual development in human beings, which is where it should have begun. Considerable rumination on a variety of sources has provided a clear understanding that relating with God is THE source for spiritual birth, bringing each person’s spirit alive, and that spiritual life is an ongoing process that can start now and go/grow forever.

THE STORY OF PROPHET MUSA AS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF TAQWA AMONG THE ELDERLY: AN ANALYSIS BASED ON TAFSIR AL-MANAR
  • Nov 14, 2025
  • al-Qanatir: International Journal of Islamic Studies
  • Kauthar Abd Kadir + 2 more

This study explores the role of the Quranic narrative of Prophet Musa AS as a source for nurturing ‘taqwa’ among the elderly, through a thematic analysis of Tafsir al-Manar by Rashid Rida. The elderly often face psychological, spiritual, and social challenges that necessitate guidance rooted in divine revelation. The story of Prophet Musa AS, one of the most frequently mentioned prophets in the Quran, is rich with values such as patience, trust in Allah (tawakkul), resilience, spiritual reliance, and wisdom in communication. Adopting a qualitative and thematic approach, this research examines selected Quranic verses relating to Prophet Musa AS and how they are interpreted in Tafsir al-Manar, with particular focus on the concept of ‘taqwa’ and its relevance to the spiritual well-being of the elderly. The findings reveal that Rashid Rida’s interpretive approach not only highlights the moral and spiritual dimensions of Musa’s prophetic journey but also offers practical insights for the inner strength and faith development of the elderly today. This study aims to contribute meaningfully to the formulation of Quran-based spiritual development modules tailored for the needs of the ageing population.
