Objective: To compare the changes in eating habits before and during the confinement by Covid-19 in the adult population of the satellite city of Huacho, 2021. Materials and methods: The design was non-experimental with a comparative descriptive scope, cross-sectional and quantitative approach, the sample of the probabilistic type was made up of 173 adults, the instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire of eating habits and frequency of food consumption validated by specialist judges through the Aiken V validity coefficient of the binomial scale, for the respective hypothesis testing, the t-Student statistical technique was used. Results: For the quality of food, scores were found between 112.73 ± 11.37 before the pandemic, qualifying as "needs changes" and 88.49 ± 11.59 during confinement, qualifying as "unhealthy". obtaining a test statistic T= 24.044 and a p-value of 0.000, which indicates a highly significant difference. Conclusion: The confinement due to Covid-19 led to negative changes in the eating habits of the adult population of Ciudad Satélite in the district of Huacho, 2021.
