In a context of peripheral urbanization in Contadero, Mexico City, we explored the "resistance strategies " that the habitants have articulated versus the decisions, of governmental character or private, that have allowed the construction of real estate projects in that high value area environmental. From the perspective of the socio-environmental conflicts we argue that they produce associations and alliances between different actors that express themselves in collective articulations logics and confrontational strategies for the defense and appropriation of a common(forest and natural environment) while establishing new relationships with political and legal institutions Thus, we describe some cases in which despite the socio-economic differences and interests of the different actors involved, it´s possible to observe collective resistance strategies that refer to the appropriation and territorial identity of the Contadero´s habitants.
