Development of Interactive Learning Media Based on Smart Apps Creator to Enhance Elementary School Students' Science Learning Outcomes

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of interactive media based on Smart Apps Creator to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on energy transformation material. The study involves research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. Expert validation for the content and media was 92.8 and 93%, which falls into the very feasible/valid category. The average improvement in student learning outcomes before and after using the Smart Apps Creator-based learning media, measured using the N-gain test, was 0.667, which falls into the moderate category. Teacher and student responses were 100 and 96.4%, respectively, falling into the very practical category. Therefore, the Smart Apps Creator-based learning media is feasible, effective, and practical for teaching to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of IPAS on energy transformation material.

Development of 'Kenalin' Learning Media Based on the Smart Apps Creator Application to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Class IV Elementary School Science Subjects

Science and Technology learning in class IV at SD Negeri Kandri 01 is still not optimal in the use of IT-based learning media. This affects the learning outcomes of students who have not met the KKTP. This research aims to develop, and test the feasibility, and effectiveness of the "Kenalin" learning media based on the Smart Apps Creator application for the material Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya and also to find out whether the 'Kenalin' learning media can significantly improve student learning outcomes. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. Using test techniques (pretest and posttest) and non-test techniques (observation, interviews, initial data analysis, and final data analysis). The data analysis method used in this research includes initial data analysis using the normality test, as well as final data analysis using the average difference test using theT-Test and measuring the average increase using N-Gain. Based on the results of material validation and media validation, it was found that the 'Kenalin' media met the standard criteria for being very worthy with a score of 92.50% from material expert validators and 95% from media expert validators. The effectiveness of using the 'Kenalin' media was assessed by comparing the pretest and posttest scores using the N- Gain test which obtained a score of 0.58 which was included in the medium category and the paired simple test obtained a result of 0.000 <0.005, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This research concludes that the "Kenalin" learning media based on Smart Apps Creator is suitable and effective for use as a learning media for the material My Indonesia is Rich in Culture, student learning outcomes also show a significant improvement.

Investigating the adoption of smart local government services: the impact of service quality, trust, and social influence

PurposeThis study aims to examine the factors that influence the adoption of public services through the latest smart apps designed to provide maximum services within urban local government.Design/methodology/approachThe research is based on a thorough literature review, expert advice on public service delivery and four complementary theories. An empirical survey used a structured questionnaire to collect primary data from citizens in Indian local governments. The data was analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM) and SmartPLS version 4 to assess the measurement and structural models.FindingsThe study confirmed that service quality, trust, effort expectancy and social influence are key factors for adopting smart app services. Trust and intention are mediators, while performance expectations do not impact the decision to use smart app services.Research limitations/implicationsThe study includes a moderate sample size and a focus on a single developing country, which restricts its cross-cultural applicability. This research investigated the factors influencing individual adoption and use of local government services delivered through smart apps.Practical implicationsThe study has significant implications for policymakers, researchers and implementers. It provides insights for developing strategies to increase the use of smart services, thereby enhancing local governance's efficiency, transparency and accountability.Originality/valueThis study enhances existing knowledge by adding service quality, trust and adoption to the model, which helps examine the factors affecting adoption. With limited research on local smart service app adoption, this study provides valuable insights.

Development of Differentiated English Language Learning Multimedia

This research and development aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of differentiated learning multimedia using Smart Apps Creator (SAC) in improving English learning outcomes for class VIII students at UTP SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal. The type of research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, with stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 2 Sunggal, class VIII students, consisting of 64 students, with 32 students in the experimental class taught using SAC multimedia and 32 students in the control class not using SAC multimedia. The research results show: (1) validation by material experts (94.44% of very feasible criteria), by media experts (94.17% of very feasible criteria), and by learning design experts (93.61% of very feasible criteria). The results of individual trials were 76.67% feasible criteria, small group trials were 88.33% very feasible criteria, and field trial results were 91.04% very feasible criteria. (2) There are differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. The experimental class had an average learning outcome of 82.75; the control class had an average learning outcome of 61.63. Hypothesis testing using an independent t-test on the post-test scores of the experimental class and control class obtained a significance result (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means <0.05. It can be concluded that there are significant differences between classes that are taught using differentiated learning multimedia and classes that are not taught using multimedia. The development of differentiated learning multimedia using SAC for class VIII SMP students is effective in improving English learning outcomes.

Transport disadvantage and social inclusion: Exploring the role of smartphone use for transport purposes

The link between transport disadvantage and social exclusion is now firmly-established. Smartphones emerge as an integral part of daily life with a strong potential to influence this link by improving people’s capacity to access transport information and availability, and enabling direct connections with others in society. However, the role of smartphone use for transport purposes in influencing people’s daily mobility and quality of life remains under-studied, in part impeding a more concrete discourse on how it can be better evaluated and considered in policymaking. This study seeks to shed light on the above issue through probing into the interrelationships among smartphone use, transport disadvantage and social inclusion, and their relation to subjective well-being. Using Beijing as a case study, we tested a series of hypotheses through structural equation models (SEM). Our findings highlighted potentially bidirectional interactions between smartphone use and transport disadvantage. By and large, smartphone use for both normal purposes and new modes can help mitigate transport disadvantage, and this may further stimulate more smartphone use as a proactive solution. Furthermore, the link between smartphone use for new modes and transport cost, and their consequent effect on social inclusion and subjective well-being were found to vary between low- and high-income groups. Findings suggest that smartphones and smart apps should be carefully integrated in policymaking to reduce the risk for people of being socially excluded due to a lack of transport options and improve subjective well-being.

The Development of Raya-In: Learning Media Based on Smart Apps Creator to Improve Primary School Social Science Learning

Technology-based learning media in social science are not readily available in primary schools. Meanwhile, learning media, especially technology-based, supports social science competencies for primary school students. This study aimed to develop learning media, named Raya-In (Ragam Budaya Indonesia), based on Smart Apps Creator to improve the social science learning of fourth-grade students in SDN Kangkung 01 within the Indonesian cultural diversity theme. This study used the Borg and Gall model design, which consisted of 8 stages: potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, product validation, revision, small-scale trial, large-scale trial, and final product. The study involved media experts and content experts to validate the media. The subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN Kangkung 1 (n=39). Data was collected by observation, interview, pretest, questionnaire, documentation, and posttest. The final result showed that Raya-In passed the media and content experts' evaluation and revision processes. The media and content experts gave high scores in the qualified category. The Pretest, posttest, T-test, and N-gain tests showed that Raya-In supported social science learning. The study aligned with learning in the current era, using technology-based media. Raya-In development based on Smart Apps Creator was validated to support social science learning in primary school.

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF MATEMATIKA DENGAN APLIKASI SAC 3 PADA POKOK BAHASAN LINGKARAN KELAS VIII

This research leads to the development of interactive learning media with the Smart Apps Creator 3 application on the subject of class VIII circles. This media was developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) development model. The subjects of this research were class VIII students at MTs Al-Mubarak Marisa with a total of 23 students. The average score for all aspects from media experts is 3.72 and the average score for all aspects from material experts is 3.6, so it meets the validity criteria. This interactive learning media has also been tested by class VIII teachers and students at MTs Al-Mubarak Marisa and received teacher responses with an average score for all aspects of 87.5% and student responses with an average score for all aspects of 89. 92% with very positive criteria, so this media is effectively used in mathematics learning

The design of an interactive educational application for jogging based on Android, is an application created to make it easier for people to know about the definition of jogging and the health benefits of jogging, this application was created with a smart apps creator and the Canva application which aims to make it easier for writers to create educational applications This interactive, the final result of this interactive educational application design project will use mobile device media, namely Android-based. The author raised this title because the author saw a lack of public awareness about exercising, especially jogging, therefore the author took the initiative to raise the title of creating this interactive educational application so that people know the importance of jogging.

Development of Integrated Smart Apps Creator Media with Guided Inquiry Learning Model on Reaction Rate Material

This research is about developing Smart Apps Creator media integrated with a guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material. The type of research carried out is Research and Development or what is known as Research and Development (R&D). The aim of this research is to develop learning media using Smart Apps Creator which is integrated with a guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material, as well as getting validation from experts regarding this media and knowing the responses of teachers and students to its use. The development model used in this research is the 4-D model. The stages of 4-D development are the stages of definition, design, development and dissemination. This research produces smart apps Creator learning media that is integrated with the guided inquiry learning model on reaction rate material. The results of the media expert validation assessment obtained an average of 89.6% (very valid). The results of the teacher response assessment obtained an average of 89.5% (very practical) and the results of the student response assessment obtained an average of 82.2% (very practical).

Problem-based learning model with Smart Apps Creator media: Effect on students’ fraction problem-solving abilities

Problem solving ability is one of the goals and important elements that students must master during the mathematics learning process. With this in mind, the aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Smart Apps Creator media in developing students' abilities in solving problems regarding fractions in class V. This research took the form of quasi-experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The number of students who were the object of this research was 185 students from class V of SDN in Gugus Kenanga, central java province of Indonesia. The sampling method for this research was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method were observations and test. The technique for data analysis was carried out using two techniques, namely quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. It was found that there was real difference in students’ ability to solve fraction problems between students who use the Problem Based Learning model using the Smart Apps Creator application and students who use the Problem Based Learning model without using media. From these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in using the Problem Based Learning model with the help of Smart Apps Creator media in developing the abilities of class V students.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Berbasis SAC Materi Adab terhadap Orang Tua dan Guru

This study discusses the development of interactive learning media based on Smart Apps Creator (SAC) adab material towards parents and teachers with the aim of knowing the level of student response and the level of product validity. This type of research uses development research with the four D (4D) model, namely define, design, develop, and dissiminate. Data collection techniques are interviews and validation questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are validation questionnaire analysis and student response questionnaire. The results of the research developed by researchers obtained validation results from media experts of 95.25% with a very valid category, as well as material expert validation of 94.75% with a very valid category and student response questionnaire results of 83.42% with a very high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the smart apps creator-based interakti learning media is useful for students and is suitable for use as a learning media because it meets the criteria.

Smart Apps Creator: Mathematics Scientific-Based Interactive Multimedia for Improving Acceleration Program Students’ HOTS

It was found that the use of learning media in the form of modules and learning videos is not interactive so they make students feel bored and less active when the learning process. It causes students to have difficulty solving HOTS-type questions. Thus, this study aims to develop scientific-based interactive mathematics multimedia to increase the HOTS of accelerated students on similarity and congruence materials with the help of the Smart Apps Creator. This study uses the RD method with the ADDIE model. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive and uses paired samples t-test. The instruments are a questionnaire for material and media expert validation, a questionnaire for teacher and student responses, a pre-test, and a post-test. The results of the validation of the material expert obtained the "Eligible" interpretation, the media expert obtained the "Very Eligible" interpretation obtained the "Eligible" interpretation. The results of the teacher's response, the student's response to the limited test, and the group test obtained the interpretation of "Very Eligible". By using the paired samples t-test, show a significance level of 0.000 was obtained where 0.000 0.05, which means that there was an increase in the HOTS of class VIII-J students after using the developed interactive mathematics multimedia. Based on the results obtained, the interactive mathematics multimedia developed can be used as a learning media for students.

Canva-based Smart Apps Creator Media to Enhance Comprehension Skills of Informational Text for Third-Grade Students

Learning media, as a tool for delivering information from teachers to students, aims to facilitate the teaching and learning process in school. Smart Apps Creator is a software with several advantages for developing interactive learning media, one of which is with the assistance of Canva application as its online design application. This research aims to create Canva-based Smart Apps Creator media to enhance the ability to understand the content of information texts in third-grade elementary schools. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on Sugiyono's research with the Borg & Gall development model modified into eight stages, namely: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, product revision, and usage testing. This research utilizes data collection techniques through tests and non-tests. The data analysis techniques used include both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The material expert validation result obtained a percentage of 90%, and the media expert validation obtained a percentage of 92%, both categorized as "highly feasible." Using Canva-based Smart Apps Creator media in learning activities is quite effective through N-gain testing, with students' learning outcomes reaching 0.66 (65.6%), and the average pre-test score increased from 55 to 83 during the learning process (post-test). From these results, the Canva-based Smart Apps Creator media is declared highly suitable for learning and sufficiently effective in improving the ability to comprehend the content of information texts in Indonesian language classes for third-grade elementary school.

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Android Menggunakan Smart Apps Creator pada Materi Perbandingan untuk Siswa Kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kupang

The development of the use of Android-based smartphones among the people of Indonesia is used in various fields, including the field of education. One software that can be used to implement Android-based learning is smart apps creator (SAC). Therefore, this study aims to develop android application-based mathematics learning media on class VII UPTD SMP N 5 Kupang comparison material that is valid, practical, and effective. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis techniques in this study are qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the application met the eligibility criteria that were valid, practical, and effective in the comparison material. The average total validity of learning media by 3 media and material experts is 4.25 so that android application-based mathematics learning media is included in the valid category, subject teacher responses with an average response result of 4.67, responses from small-scale students are 4.7 and large-scale student responses are 4.45 so that android application-based mathematics learning media is included in the practical category, and the percentage of small-scale learning completeness results obtained 80% included in the effective category and large-scale learning completeness results 88.88% so that mathematics learning media based on android applications that have been developed are included in the very effective category.

Exploring physicians’ expectations of telehealth services implementation in primary care: An application of the social cognitive theory

ABSTRACT Background: Understanding healthcare professionals’ expectations in telehealth is crucial for successful implementation. The present study used an adaptation of the antecedents-expectations model, supported by the social cognitive theory to evaluate physicians’ expectations regarding the implementation of telehealth in primary healthcare (PHC) and to investigate the potential influence, on expectations, of a prior telehealth experience (antecedents) during the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Materials and Methods: A questionnaire-based survey was conducted online, targeting PHC physicians. Expectations covered four telehealth performance domains including public health and health promotion, Care Quality and Workflow Organization, Patient’s Convenience and Engagement and Providers’ Value and Training. Antecedents included six domains including gain in self-efficacy, gain in knowledge, gain in participation/engagement, gain in experience, enjoyment and satisfaction. Stepwise linear regression was performed to analyse the effect of antecedents on overall expectations. Results: A total of 54 physicians participated in the study. The mean expectation score was 114.15/154 (SD = 28.26), with highest expectations concerning cost-effectiveness, care timeliness and patients’ convenience. A previous experience with smart apps and dedicated telehealth platforms was associated with lower expectations scores. Expectations scores were positively correlated with antecedents scores; however, satisfaction was the sole independent factor of overall expectations (regression coefficient B = 4.40, 95%CI: 3.11–5.68). Conclusion: The findings highlight the significance of previous experience and various antecedents in shaping physicians’ expectations about telehealth. These insights can inform the development of strategies and interventions to enhance healthcare professionals’ expectations and facilitate the successful implementation of telehealth services.

Using Smart Apps Creator (SAC) as an Android-Based Learning Multimedia in Improving the Students’ Vocabulary Achievement

The aim of this research was to explain the extent to which the use of SAC as the Android-based learning multimedia is effective in improving the students’ vocabulary achievement of the seventh-grade students at SMPN 3 Topoyo. It used a quantitative approach with pre-experimental design taking all the seventh-grade students and 30 students as the sample of this research and employed a vocabulary test as its instrument to collect the data. The results of this research reveal that the students’ vocabulary achievement got significant improvements which the students’ mean score for the Pre-test was 46.33 and the students’ mean score for the Post-test was 81.67. The Post-test mean scores exceeded 70, achieving the learning objectives. From the findings of the research, it can be concluded that the results demonstrated significant improvement in students' vocabulary achievement, with a substantial increase in the number of students achieving high levels of achievement. Therefore, the use of SAC was considerably effective in enhancing students’ vocabulary achievement and fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
