The research explores the relationship between knowledge-oriented leadership, green human resource management practices, and the innovative behavior of green workers in the context of small enterprises in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. The study aims to fill gaps in existing research by investigating how these leadership and HR practices affect employee involvement in environmentally friendly initiatives and innovative work behavior. By examining the role of mediators of environmentally sound human resource factors and environmentally friendly employee engagement, the study seeks to provide new insights into the mechanisms through which knowledge-oriented leadership and green HRM can drive sustainability and innovation in organizations. Data was collected from employees working in micro and small businesses in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. A total of 114 online questionnaires were filled out by employees working at 32 SMEs. Using the size effect test method of mediation with upsilon (v) statistics provides an explanation of how strong the mediation influence in this study is. Research findings suggest that green work engagement mediates the relationship between green human resource management and green work innovative behavior.
