In higher education, the level of lecturer involvement in decision-making and professional development varies. Some lecturers feel unappreciated or not fully involved, which impacts their morale, collaboration, and sense of well-being. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of inclusive workplace policies can affect lecturers' work outcomes and well-being. The method used was descriptive-analytical literature research, collecting and analyzing scientific articles and journals published in the last five years that are relevant to the academic world. The results show that an inclusive work environment can improve work morale, creativity, and collaboration among lecturers. An inclusive environment also makes lecturers feel psychologically safe and open to communication. Furthermore, an inclusive environment also reduces stress and conflict among colleagues, thereby improving the physical and mental well-being of lecturers. These findings suggest that inclusiveness is not only an ethical principle but also an effective way to improve performance, engagement, and quality of work life in academic environments.

Abstract Equitable access to agricultural land remains a central challenge for sustainable and inclusive rural development in Africa. Despite the recognized importance of this issue, a comprehensive and systematic synthesis of land conflict types, key governance actors, and prevailing tenure systems is scarcely documented across Africa. This review fills this gap by applying a transparent and reproducible systematic review protocol – including database searching, screening, and thematic coding – which resulted in the selection of 55 studies from Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and African Journals Online. The findings reveal that inheritance (63.64%) is the most prevalent land tenure regime, while borrowing is the least common (23.67%), indicating a shift away from communal arrangements. Land conflicts are predominantly centred on ownership (28.57%) and usage rights (25%), often exacerbated by fraudulent allocations. The review underscores the central, yet often conflicting, roles of state and customary institutions, with 80% of studies highlighting corruption as a major impediment to effective land law enforcement. Women are identified as the most vulnerable actors in land access and security. The study concludes that transparent, inclusive land governance reforms, which harmonize formal and customary systems, are urgently needed to mitigate conflicts and empower marginalized stakeholders.

Chemotherapy-induced diarrhea (CID) is a common complication among colorectal cancer patients receiving chemotherapeutic treatment. This condition adversely affects therapeutic outcomes and potentially increases mortality risks. Acupuncture, an integral component of traditional Chinese medicine, has gained widespread use in China's clinical settings. Recent findings suggest that this non-drug approach may provide therapeutic advantages for managing CID. This warrants further research into its clinical application. A comprehensive systematic review will be performed to find randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that examine the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of acupuncture treatments for managing CID in patients with colorectal cancer. The search strategy includes eight major electronic repositories: PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, Chinese Biomedical Database (CBM), and China Scientific Journal Database (VIP), with no language restrictions. Primary endpoints focused on clinical improvements quantified through two key parameters: alterations in diarrhea severity according to the Irritable Bowel Syndrome Severity Scoring System (IBS-SSS) classifications, and modifications in episode duration. Secondary endpoints encompassed safety assessments of acupuncture-related adverse reactions and comprehensive evaluation of quality-of-life indicators using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Core 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30). Two reviewers will independently assess the risk of bias for all primary outcomes via the Cochrane Risk of Bias tool (RoB2). Disagreements will be resolved through discussion or third-party adjudication. For data synthesis and meta-analysis, all statistical analyses will utilize Review Manager software version 5.3 from the Cochrane Collaboration. This systematic review will synthesize existing evidence to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of acupuncture in managing CID among colorectal cancer patients. The findings aim to inform clinical practice by assessing whether acupuncture represents a viable adjunctive therapy within evidence-based treatment protocols. PROSPERO CRD420251045610.

The Banbakri antelope (Boselaphus tragocamelus), commonly known as the Nilgai, is distributed across and neighbouring countries such as Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Texas, Mexico, Italy, and South Africa. Increasing human encroachment, habitat degradation, and agricultural expansion have led to a rising incidence of crop raiding by Banbakri, causing substantial economic losses to farmers, particularly in northern and central India. This review examines the human–Banbakri conflict arising from competition for agricultural resources, drawing on secondary data from scientific journals and reports. Banbakri antelope have increasingly moved from natural habitats to human-dominated landscapes in search of water, food, and crops. Bihar hosts the largest population (295,366), followed by Uttar Pradesh (254,444). The species causes significant damage to major crops, fruits, and vegetables, sometimes up to 58% yield loss-forcing farmers to alter cropping patterns. Crop depredation can be identified through direct sightings, photographs, hoof prints, plant damage, and dung traces. The review highlights ecological interactions between Banbakri antelope besides agriculture and underscores the urgent need for an Integrated Banbakri Pest Management (IBPM) framework to balance conservation priorities with rural livelihoods, emphasizing evidence-based, socially acceptable, and ecologically sustainable solutions.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI), the rise of mega-journals, and the manipulation of impact factors present challenges to scientific integrity. These trends threaten the core principles of objectivity, reproducibility, and transparency. This editorial highlights two categories of threats: (1) external pressures, such as AI misuse and metric-driven publishing models, and (2) internal systemic flaws, including the 'publish or perish' culture and methodological fragility. Mega-journals, characterized by high-volume publishing and broad interdisciplinary scopes, improve accessibility and accelerate dissemination. However, the emphasis on publication volume might weaken the rigour of peer review. To navigate these challenges, the authors propose a balanced approach that harnesses innovation without compromising scientific integrity. Proposed solutions include mandating AI transparency through frameworks like Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials-Artificial Intelligence, and redefining impact metrics to emphasize reproducibility, mentorship, and societal impact alongside citations. Scientific journals should promote career opportunities less on publication quantity and more on quality. Global cooperation, via initiatives like the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment and the Committee on Publication Ethics, is essential to standardize ethics and address resource disparities. This editorial proposes solutions for researchers, journals, and policymakers to realign academic incentives and uphold the ethical foundation of science. By fostering transparency, accountability, and equity, the scientific community can preserve its ethical foundations while embracing transformative tools, ultimately advancing knowledge and serving society. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: Level V.

This letter addresses the study by Albayrak and Öz evaluating the quality and reliability of YouTube videos on Raynaud’s phenomenon, which found that nearly one-third of the content was of low quality and that popularity was not associated with accuracy. Using the framework of quinary prevention, the authors highlight the risks posed by digital health misinformation. Quinary prevention aims to reduce harm caused by unreliable health information and to promote accurate, evidence-based content. Within this context, misleading online resources related to Raynaud’s phenomenon are considered a potential source of informational iatrogenic harm. Such content may increase patient anxiety, encourage unverified self-care practices, delay appropriate medical consultation, and hinder effective patient–physician communication. The letter emphasises the responsibility of healthcare professionals, particularly rheumatologists, to actively counter misinformation by producing and disseminating scientifically accurate, patient-centred educational materials on digital platforms. In addition, scientific journals and academic institutions are encouraged to support research that monitors online content quality and develops strategies to address misinformation. The authors conclude that adopting a quinary prevention perspective is essential for improving patient safety, strengthening digital health literacy, and maintaining evidence-based clinical practice in the contemporary information environment.

The development of social media has encouraged students to be more active in interacting, sharing information, and establishing relationships online. However, the high intensity of social media use also increases the risk of personal data leakage. This literature study aims to examine the relationship between privacy awareness and students' safe behavior in social media use. The research was conducted by examining various sources, including scientific journals, articles, research reports, books, and online references relevant to digital security issues. The results of the study show that privacy awareness has a significant role in shaping students' safe behavior. This awareness is reflected through the practice of using strong passwords, the implementation of two-factor authentication, and prudence in sharing personal information in the digital space. Although knowledge about digital threats is quite adequate, students' safe behavior is still influenced by the level of internalization of privacy awareness. Therefore, increasing privacy awareness requires not only information, but also educational strategies that emphasize the formation of consistent digital attitudes and habits. This study makes an important contribution to understanding the relationship between privacy awareness and safe behavior, as well as being the basis for the development of more effective digital literacy programs among students.

Amiodaron is a broad-spectrum antiarrhythmic drug that is widely used in the management of various cardiac rhythm disorders, including ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias. Despite its therapeutic effectiveness, Amiodaron presents complex physicochemical characteristics that pose significant challenges in the development of oral solid dosage forms, particularly tablet preparations. Therefore, a comprehensive pre-formulation study is essential to ensure the development of stable, safe, and effective pharmaceutical products. This study aims to examine the pre-formulation aspects of Amiodaron hydrochloride as a scientific basis for tablet formulation development. The research method employed was a literature-based study focusing on the physicochemical properties of Amiodaron, including ionization constants (pKa), partition coefficients (log P), solubility, dissolution behavior, polymorphism, chemical and physical stability, as well as particle and powder characteristics. Relevant data were obtained from scientific journals, pharmacopeias, and authoritative pharmaceutical references. The results indicate that Amiodaron hydrochloride is classified as a Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) class II drug, characterized by low aqueous solubility and high membrane permeability. The compound is highly lipophilic, weakly basic, and sensitive to environmental factors such as light, heat, and alkaline pH conditions, which may lead to degradation. Furthermore, Amiodaron powder exhibits poor flowability and compressibility, making direct compression during tablet manufacturing difficult. Based on these findings, appropriate formulation strategies are required, including the use of inclusion complexes, hydrophilic polymers, granulation techniques, and careful selection of excipients to enhance solubility, stability, and bioavailability. This pre-formulation study is expected to provide a strong scientific foundation for the development of optimal Amiodaron tablet formulations.

Quercetin, has been proposed as a supplement to improve uric acid -related indices. However, finding supporting evidence remains inconsistent. This meta-analysis aimed to assess the effects of quercetin supplementation on lipid profile, renal function indices, oxidative stress, and inflammatory biomarkers. A systematic review of PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, China Knowledge Network, China Science and Technology Journal Database, and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform from inception to August 2024 were searched. Data were pooled using a random-effects model. Seventeen case studies were included. Quercetin supplementation significantly reduced serum uric acid (UA), creatinine (Cr), fractional excretion of uric acid (FEur), and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels, and improved oxidative stress and inflammatory markers, including malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-a) (p < 0.05). Improvements were also observed in lipid parameters such as triglycerides (TG) and very-low density lipoprotein (VLDL) (p < 0.05). Subgroup analyses indicated that dose and intervention duration influenced outcomes, but the direction and magnitude varied by specific biomarker. However, quercetin supplementation did not have significant effect on urinary UA, urinary Cr, and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) (p > 0.05). Our findings suggest that quercetin has the potential to improve key biochemical markers, including SUA, VLDL, TNF-α, TG, SOD, Cr, BUN, MDA, IL-6, and FEur, in animal models of hyperuricemia. However, due to high heterogeneity across studies and varying risk of bias, these results should be interpreted cautiously.
