The Effectiveness of Using E-Learning as a Learning Media during the Covid-19 Pandemic

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using E-learning as a learning medium during the COVID-19 pandemic in the January-June 2021 semester of the Technology and Vocational Education study program, Padang State University. This research is descriptive research with quantitative method. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire given via google form, where the data analysis technique is to see the achievement of the existing indicators. The subjects of this study were postgraduate students of technology and vocational education in the 2020 entry year of the Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University. Based on data analysis, it was found that quantitative data, indicators of learning objectives were seen that the respondent's achievement level (TCR) reached 77.20% with sufficient category. The indicator of learning infrastructure shows that the TCR reaches 82.07% with a good category. The indicator of the ability to use technology is seen that the TCR reaches 81.18% in the good category. The time efficiency indicator shows that the TCR reaches 81.93% with a good category. Indicators of learning outcomes seen that the TCR reached 86.70%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of E-learning as a learning medium during the COVID-19 pandemic is categorized as effective, it can be seen from the results of research on 5 indicators, there are 4 indicators which are in good category and 1 is in sufficient category.

Hubungan Antara Tingkat Pengetahuan Mobilisasi Dini Dengan Perilaku Mobilisasi Dini Pasien Post Operasi Apendik

Introduction: One of the postoperative client care is to do the mobilization. Mobilization exercises are carried out to prevent complications, prevent pressure sores, stimulate peristalsis and reduce pain. Methods: The design of this study is a descriptive correlative study which aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and motivation of nurses on the provision of early mobilization. The population of this research is the appendic patient at RSAL Dr. Mintohardjo. The sample in this study was total sampling, with a sample of 59 respondents. The instrument uses an observation sheet. Results: The results showed that the value of P value = 0.007 means P value <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the respondent's level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior. Discussion: There is a significant relationship between the respondent's level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior

Characteristics of Indonesian Adolescents who had Experienced Pregnancy Under the Age of 20 Years: Basic Health Research 2018

Background: As well as other countries, Basic Health Research 2018 (Riskesdas) reported that adolescent pregnancies (aged under 20 years) occurred in almost all provinces in Indonesia. More than 60,000 Indonesian females experienced pregnancy at a young age. Objective: This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Indonesian women who had been pregnant under the age of 20 years. Methods: This study used a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, the data processed was from Indonesian Basic Health Research 2018. The subjects were 67,392 women who experienced their first pregnancy under the age of 20 years. The independent variables of the study included the respondent's domicile, age, education level, and occupation. The dependent variable was the age at first pregnancy. All variables were analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. Results: Almost all (95.4%) Indonesian women who had experienced adolescent pregnancy were in the age range of 14-19 years when they were first pregnant. Most of the respondents lived in rural areas (68.1%), were in late adulthood (32.9%) when the survey was conducted, had completed primary school education (38.7%), and were not working (47.9%). Domicile, age, education, and occupation were related significantly to the age at which they were first pregnant (P-Value = 0.0001). Education affected the age at first pregnancy in women with a history of adolescent pregnancy (OR = 2.215). Conclusion: Adolescent with low education level is 2.2 riskier to have early pregnancy than an adolescent with high-level education. The government needs to make it a priority and seriously provide provision of reproductive health education among children before they get into their adolescence phase.

Stress Level and Coping Strategies Among Medical Frontliners in Tagbilaran City, During the Covid 19 Pandemic

Stress is the body's nonspecific response to demand. Coping refers to things people do to protect themselves from life's challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected our lives as it caused additional stress to people worldwide, especially the medical frontliners. Stress dramatically influences our mood, sense of well-being, behavior, and health. This study aimed to determine the stress level and coping strategies among the medical frontliners in Tagbilaran City. It utilized the descriptive quantitative research design aided with a self-made questionnaire based on the "Person-Environment Fit Theory" by Kurt Lewin to measure the respondent's level of stress and a standardized Questionnaire entitled "The Coping Resources Inventory for Stress (CRIS)." The questionnaire was subjected to pilot testing. The result for Cronbach's test was 0.862, which was acceptable. Forty-seven (47) respondents were randomly selected to participate in the study, 18 of the forty-seven nurses were working at Bohol Cooperative Hospital, and twenty-nine (29) were from Borja Family Hospital. Primary ethical concerns were observed throughout the study as it underwent an ethics review from the University of Bohol Research Ethics Committee. Respondents' participation was based on the signed informed consent ensuring their privacy and anonymity. Data were subjected to the Chi-Square test and Spearman Rank Correlation using SPSS. The results showed that the respondents were moderately stressed regarding work-related factors and mildly stressed with personal-related factors, which challenged their ability to manage Stress. Results further revealed that respondents were above-average stress-copers.

Evaluasi Program Praktek Lapangan Industri Jurusan Teknik Elektro Universitas Negeri Padang

This study aims to determine the condition of the context, input, process, and product components in the PLI program at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Padang State University. The type of research used in evaluation research with a quantitative approach. This study uses the CIPP context, input, process, and product evaluation model developed by Daniel Stufflebeam with a population of 79 students majoring in electrical engineering who have carried out PLI. The data collection of this research is in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used are data verification, data classification, and data processing. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the PLI program in the Department of Electrical Engineering has been categorized as good, but there are several indicators that must be improved in the future. In the context evaluation, the PLI program objective indicator obtained a respondent's achievement level of 90.54% categorized as very good, the PLI program environmental indicator with a respondent achievement level of 86.75% categorized as good. The input evaluation consists of five indicators, namely supporting facilities with 88% of respondents categorized as good, indicators of sources of funds with 60.8% of respondents being categorized as adequate, program relevance indicators with 85.8% of respondents being categorized as good, indicators of direction, and guidance from majors and industries, the achievement level of respondents was 81.9% categorized as good, and in the Student HR indicator, the achievement level of respondents was 81.4% categorized as good. Process evaluation, indicators of preparation for the implementation of the PLI program with the level of achievement of respondents 84.6% categorized as good, indicators of implementation of the PLI program at the level of achievement of respondents 87.6% categorized as good, indicators of monitoring the implementation of PLI with the level of achievement of respondents 53.5% categorized as not good, and indicators barriers to the implementation of the PLI respondents' achievement level of 83.5% is categorized as good. Product evaluation obtained a respondent's level of achievement of 88.01% which was categorized as good.

RELATIONSHIP OF MACRO NUTRITION CONSUMPTION PATTERNS WITH LIPID PROFILE IN TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease caused by metabolic disorders both genetically and clinically characterized by an increase in blood sugar (hyperglycemia) chronically. Intake of carbohydrates, fats, proteins is a factor that can control the body's glycemic. Poor glycemic control is thought to have contributed to changes in lipid profiles in DM patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between carbohydrate, fat, and protein intake with the lipid profile of patients with Type II DM. Cross sectional design method with 3 days recall and lipid profile levels. The research sample is a consecutive sampling of 31 samples. The analysis used Univariate and Bivariate and the data were analyzed by correlation test. The results of the correlation test showed that the average respondent's blood sugar level was 297 mg/dl ± up to 90, the average intake of carbohydrates = 339.9 grams ± SD 139.32, fat = 128.6 grams ± SD 177.222 and protein = 51 .1 gram ± SD 22.42. The average lipid profile is Triglyceride level = 179.9 mg/dl ± SD 111.99, total cholesterol level = 199.93 mg/dl ± SD 59.91, HDL level = 40 0.0 mg/dl ± SD 10.74, LDL level=146.77 mg/dl ± SD 181.29. Bivariate test there was a significant relationship between fat intake and triglycerides at P=0.009 (p≤0.05), the relationship between fat with LDL with a value of P=0.018 (p≤0.05), the relationship between protein intake and cholesterol at P=0.030 (p=≤0.005). Intake of nutrients that have a significant relationship is fat with triglycerides, fat with LDL and protein with cholesterol.

KEPUASAN KONSUMEN TERHADAP ATRIBUT SAYURAN HIDROPONIK CASA FARM BANDUNG

Vegetables is one of the leading commodities because it has high economic value. Vegetable consumption is needed by the body as one of the sources of vitamins, minerals and fiber in achieving a healthy diet in accordance with the recommendations of balanced nutrition guidelines to obtain optimal health. Casa Farm Hydroponics is one of the producers of hydroponic vegetables from Bandung that has been established since 2014. In the face of competition for services becomes a very important things, because the service that is not maximal can reduce the number of consumers. Therefore, improved service quality is needed in an effort to attract consumers to buy vegetables at Casa Farm Hydroponics. This research was conducted by distributing 35 questionnaires and carried out calculations by Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. IPA method aims to determine the value of interest level and performance level of Casa Farm hydroponic vegetable attributes. CSI method that aims to know the overall level of customer satisfaction. From the calculation of IPA method in Cartesian Diagram of 13 attributes there are 5 attributes that require improvement and improvement, namely attributes number 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13. The calculation result of CSI method in Casa Farm hydroponic vegetable attribute scored by 89%, the score is in a scale range of 81% < CSI ≤ 100% which means that the respondent's consumer satisfaction level belongs to the category of very satisfied.

Faktor-Faktor yang berhubungan dengan Pencapaian Kepuasan Layanan Masa Nifas

One of the measuring tools for midwifery services is said to be of quality if a midwifery service can satisfy the client according to the level of satisfaction. Client satisfaction is influenced by internal factors and external factors. Internal factors come from the client himself (age, education, pregnancy distance, parity, and occupation) and external factors such as actions given by health workers. Client satisfaction is not only the responsibility of top management but has become the culture and commitment of all employees. The lower the quality of health services, the lower the level of patient satisfaction. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with the achievement of postpartum service satisfaction. This type of research is an analytic description with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was postpartum mothers who received services from pregnancy to childbirth by midwives at Independent Practice Midwives (PMB) in Agam and Pasaman Regencies. The sampling technique was using accidental sampling with a period of 1 month, namely from July 1 to July 31, 2020, as many as 69 postpartum mothers. The data is processed by computer. Analysis of the data using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that the factors associated with postpartum service satisfaction were age, education level and service quality. Meanwhile, for parity and work factors, there is no relationship with postpartum service satisfaction. This study concludes that the variables associated with postpartum service satisfaction are age, education level and service quality, while parity and workers have no relationship with the respondent's level of satisfaction with the services they provide.

Comfort Level of Current Physical Therapist Students in Addressing Sexual Issues With Patients

Background: Scarce evidence has been found on factors that determine physical therapist (PT) students' comfort level in addressing sexual issues with patients. Determining influential factors and barriers may help educators adjust their curriculum to better prepare students. Objectives: To identify the comfort level of PT students in addressing sexual issues with patients, demographic factors that impact the students' comfort level, and barriers to PT students addressing sexual issues with patients. Study Design: A cross-sectional survey design. Methods: A survey was sent to current PT students enrolled at 3 Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs. The survey consisted of demographic and scenario questions related to the students' comfort level in addressing sexual issues. Wilcoxon signed rank tests were performed to compare the differences in the comfort levels for male and female students. A χ2 analysis was performed to determine which demographic factors were significantly (P < .05) associated with the respondent's comfort level. Results: First-, second-, and third-year students (N = 106) completed the survey and represented programs from diverse geographic locations and religious affiliations. Less than half (41.5%) agreed that they had the necessary skills to address sexual issues, and only 23.58% of respondents were likely to initiate discussion. While students were most comfortable addressing issues with their own gender, collectively there was increased comfort level with conversations with females. Main barriers included lack of experience and knowledge, fear of patient misunderstanding, and patient comfort level. Conclusion: PT students lack comfort in addressing sexual issues due to multiple barriers. Financial Literacy and Personal Financial Management of Students: A Descriptive Analysis

This research is a quantitative descriptive study based on a survey of research subjects, where the results of the study can provide an accurate picture of the level of financial literacy in students of Management Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Jambi. This study uses primary data through interviews, observation and distributing questionnaires using google form media to 166 students out of a total of 284 active students registered in the Management Study Program of the Muhammadiyah University of Jambi for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. Secondary data were obtained from publications related to literature and financial decisions. The variable of the respondent's level of financial literacy was measured by 19, while the variable of financial decisions was measured by 8 questions related to basic knowledge of finance, savings and loans, insurance and investment. The results of the analysis of this study found that the level of financial literacy of students of Management Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Jambi was still in the low and medium category. Low literacy is shown in the insurance and investment aspects, while moderate aspects are shown in the results of basic knowledge, savings and loans. From the results of financial decision analysis based on students' personal opinions, it was also found that a lack of financial literacy made it difficult for them to make financial decisions, especially in the long term.

THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION ON ADOLESCENT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANEMIA

Background: Anemia experienced by young women often occurs when they are menstruating. Young women must have knowledge about these conditions, so that they can overcome these problems properly.
 Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of adolescents about anemia.
 Methods: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-post test design approach. This research was conducted at the Islamic Boarding School of Tahfizh Putri Alfirdaus Hidayatullah, Sekardangan, Sidoarjo on February 28, 2021. The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling. The number of samples in this study were 24 respondents. This study uses health education materials about anemia for the treatment given and a modified questionnaire from Zulaekah's (2007) knowledge level questionnaire with a Cronbach Alpha value of .594. This research was conducted by providing health education to respondents about anemia. Before the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a pre-test to measure the respondent's level of knowledge. After the health education was carried out, the researcher conducted a post-test to evaluate the respondents' level of knowledge about anemia. The statistical test carried out in this study is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significant level α < 0.05.
 Results: Based on data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it was found that there was an effect of health education on the level of adolescent knowledge about anemia (p-value = .011).
 Conclusion: It is important to provide health education about anemia to young women, so that they can find out what conditions they experience when they are anemic due to menstruation. Health workers are expected to provide this health education through health counseling or education.

Age heaping among individuals in selected South Asian countries: evidence from Demographic and Health Surveys.

Age misreporting is a common phenomenon in Demographic and Health Surveys, and there are numerous reasons for this. The trend and pattern of disparity in age heaping vary between countries. The present study assesses age heaping in the selected South Asian countries of Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan using data from the most recent round of the Demographic and Health Survey. The respondent sample sizes were 203,703 for Afghanistan, 2,869,043 for India, 49,064 for Nepal, 81,618 for Bangladesh and 100,868 for Pakistan. Age heaping was assessed by respondent's age, education level, sex and level of education. Whipple's index was calculated to assess systematic heaping on certain ages as a result of digit preference. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India showed stronger preference for ages ending with the digits '0' and '5' compared with Pakistan and Nepal among uneducated respondents. On the other hand, strong avoidance of ages ending in the digits '1', '4' and '9' was observed in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India. However, urban-rural place of residence was not found to be associated with digit preference in the study countries. Among males, age misreporting with the final digits '0' and '5' was highest in Bangladesh, followed by Afghanistan and India, and Nepal showed the least displacement. Strong digit preference and avoidance, and upper age displacement, were witnessed in the surveys conducted in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and India on the parameters of sex and education level. Innovative methods of data collection with the measurement and minimization of errors using statistical techniques should be used to ensure accuracy of age data.

Professional Architects Awareness on the Sustainable Benefits of Compressed Earth Brick as a Wall Material in North-Western Nigeria

The study intended to appraise the level of Awareness among the Professional Architects on the sustainable benefits of using compressed earth brick as a wall material for school in North-Western Nigeria. In the past, schools were built with earth, and their indoor thermal environments are friendly and more energy-efficient compared with the nowadays walling material. In order to accomplish the purpose of the study, a cross-sectional online survey design was adopted to collect the relevant data for evaluating the awareness level of the sustainable benefits of compressed earth bricks amongst the professional Architects in North-western Nigeria. Statistical analysis software ANOVA and SPSS 25 were utilized to determine the respondent's awareness level, on the sustainable benefits of C.E.B., and concerning their educational qualifications and year of experiences. The research data are analyzed based on a 5% level of significance for all statistical tests in this study. The analysis results reveal that the professionals are aware of the benefits, including availability, renewability, recyclability, and affordability. There is no significant difference in the professional Architects level of Awareness concerning their educational qualification because the p-value (0.376) is greater than the alpha value of 0.05, and also based on their years of experiences, there is no significant difference (p-value (0.850) is greater than the alpha value of 0.05). These trigger the need for government policies and the general public enlightenment by the building industry's professional bodies.

TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN KARYAWAN KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) TENTANG PEMANENAN DI PT. SAWIT SUKSES SEJAHTERA

This research is motivated by the importance of knowledge of an employee, especially harvest employees in order to obtain maximum FFB, it encourages researchers to determine the level of knowledge about harvesting. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of harvest employees and determine the level of knowledge of harvest employees about harvesting techniques and harvesting tools used.Collecting data in the research in the form of questionnaires and interviews, the method used is descriptive analysis to describe the level of knowledge of harvesting employees based on the frequency distribution of respondents' answers and responses to questions in the questionnaire.Characteristics of respondents at PT Sawit Sukses Sejahtera based on age at most, namely those aged over 35 years with a percentage of 68%, from education the most, namely elementary school with a percentage of 77%, based on work experience at most 1-5 years with a percentage of 41%. The respondent's level of knowledge on harvesting techniques is in the "know" category because the knowledge level score reaches 59.5. The respondent's level of knowledge of harvesting tools is in the "know" category with an average score of 64.94.

An Analysis of Early Age Marriage in The Economic Resilience of The Family at Kelurahan Jua-Jua Kecamatan Kayu Agung

Marriage is generally carried out by adults or already in ideal conditions for marriage, but until now there is still the practice of early marriage that occurs in Jua-Jua Village, Kayuagung District. This study aims to look at the analysis of early marriage in the economic resilience of families in Jua-Jua Village, Kayu Agung District by using a quantitative method approach, data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. Respondents in this study were 32 women who married early and one parent whose child married early was carried out by interview. The data analysis technique used is to find the percentage of the respondent's achievement level (TCR). The results showed that the TCR calculation on the indicator of family residence with a value of 80.86 is categorized as good. On the family income indicator with the TCR calculation, the value of 56.72 is categorized as poor, the indicator for children's educational needs with a value of 48.04 is categorized as not good and the indicator for family financial security with a TCR calculation value of 48.63 is categorized as not good. Through the calculation of the respondent's level of achievement, the average value of family economic resilience in early married couples is 58.56. This figure illustrates that the economic resilience of families in early married couples in Jua-Jua Village, Kayu Agung District is not good. Keywords: Early marriage, family economic resilience.

Gambaran Tingkat Kecemasan Keluarga Merawat Pasien Dengan Skizofrenia

Background: Anxiety is a feeling felt by respondents regarding disturbing mental tension, which as a general reaction with the inability to overcome a problem or there is no sense of security, which later leads to a physiological and psychological change. The level of family anxiety can be assessed by using a questionnaire with each respondent's characteristics and level of anxiety can be divided into several parts, namely: normal anxiety levels, mild anxiety levels, moderate anxiety levels, severe anxiety levels and panic. Objective: Knowing the description of the level of family anxiety in caring for patients with schizophrenia at the Mental Poliklinik UPTD. Rumah Sakit Jiwa Provinsi Bali and the characteristics of families caring for patients with schizophrenia based on education, age, and type of work. Methods: The research method that used in this study was descriptive research. This study used a cross sectional study, which was a study in which the subjects were evaluated only once and the measurement of each only one variable at the same time that using sampling consecutive sampling technique. The sample used was 32 people consisting of family members of hallucinations patients. Results: Based on research conducted at the Poliklinik UPTD. Rumah Sakit Jiwa Provinsi Bali toward 32 family members who was caring for patients by schizophrenia, most family members did not experience anxiety or anxiety in the normal range which was 29 family members of 32 family members and 3 families who experienced mild anxiety levels. Conclusion: That most family members who treated patients by schizophrenia at the Poliklinik UPTD. Rumah sakit Jiwa Provinsi Bali does not experience anxiety or anxiety still within normal limits.

Decreased Cognitive Function in People with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

ABSTRACTBackground: The number of cases and the prevalence of diabetes has continued to increase over the past few decades. DM itself is associated with an increased risk of cancer, kidney failure, stroke, and decreased cognitive function that leads to dementia. In 2016 Indonesia has an estimated 1.2 million people with dementia and is expected to grow to 4 million by 2050.Objective: The purpose of this study was to find out the risk factors for decreased cognitive function in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Method: This type of research is observational analytics with cross sectional design. The sample was 62 respondents with purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used in the study was a structured questionnaire. Measurement of cognitive function using MoCA-INA questionnaire. Data collection is done by interview method to respondents.Result: The results showed that there was a relationship between the age of the respondent (PR= 2.98; 95% CI= 0.97-9.17), and the respondent's blood sugar level (PR= 3.31; 95% CI= 1.12-9.74) to decreased cognitive function in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Conclusion: Age and blood sugar levels of respondents contributed to decreased cognitive function of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

An Analysis of Students’ Learning Independence in Learning English for Computer Using Google Classroom

This research aims to know independent learning of English for Compute in using Google Classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used of this research was elaborating from quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The population was Informatics students in the first semester at Universitas Harapan Medan. Sampling techniques used random sampling with a research sample of 65 students of 1-1 and 1-2 classes. Data collection techniques used triangulation: questionnaires, interviews and observations. The results showed that the average level of student learning independence using google classroom in learning English for Computer during COVID-19 pandemic was very high at the average value of indicators: self-confidence (82.62), sel-discipline (85.51), initiative (82.34), responsibility (84.92), motivation (86.27), then the average indicator of independent learning is 84.33. From these results knows that the scale range of the criteria for the score of the respondent's level of achievement, then the interpretation of learning independence in learning English for computer for Informatics students using Google Classroom during the Covid 19 pandemic is very high.

Level of Community Readiness for the Prevention of COVID-19 Pandemic and Associated Factors Among Residents of Awi Zone, Ethiopia: A Community-Based Cross-Sectional Study.

BackgroundNovel coronavirus 19 is a contagious disease that affects all most all countries of the world and puts the world in great challenge. Even though, there is a limited testing capacity in Africa the number of cases and deaths is progressively increased. This catastrophic case has a great impact in Africa unless preventive measures are effectively undertaken. In Ethiopia, the number of COVID-19 cases and death are increasing over time. Therefore, this study was aimed to assess the level of community readiness for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and its associated factors in residents of Awi Zone, Northwest Ethiopia.MethodsA community-based cross-sectional study design was conducted among 1524 study participants from July 28 to August 27, 2020. Data were collected using structured and pre-tested interviewer-administered questionnaires. The collected data were entered into EPI data 4.6 versions and analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 24.0. Those variables with P-value<0.25 were entered into multivariable analyses and those variables with P-value < 0.05 were considered statistically significant. Finally, the findings of the result were explained using texts, figures, and tables.ResultsA total of 1423 participants have participated in the study. The finding revealed that the prevalence of knowledge, attitude, perception, and practice towards COVID-19 were found to be 76.6%, 68.4%, 68.5%, and 29% respectively. In final model, being a female [AOR=1.388 (95% CI: 1.050–1.834) P= 0.021], married respondents [AOR=3.116 (95% CI: 1.592–6.099) P= 0.001], Muslim religion followers [AOR=2.392 (95% CI:1.503–3.806) P=0.002], and able to read and write [AOR=1.986 (95% CI:1.311–3.006) P=0.002] were some of the variables significantly associated with the level of community readiness towards COVID-19 preventive measures.ConclusionThe study findings indicate that respondent’s level of community readiness for COVID-19 prevention was mainly affected by sex, marital status, religion, and educational status. The Health education programs aimed at mobilizing and improving COVID-19 related level of community readiness especially practice are urgently needed. Awareness creation programs on more targeted groups such as men, unmarried and those with low educational level and religious leaders should be teaching the believers by interacting with faith and science on the means of preventing the pandemic.

HEALTH RISKS OF SULFUR DIOXIDE (S02) TAXATION IN COMMUNITIES IN RESIDENTIAL SURROUNDING INDUSTRY PT. DIAN SWASTATIKA SENTOSA POWER IN KONAWE SELATAN DISTRICT

Background:Sulfur dioxide (S02)and fine particles are one of the emissions produced by coal-fired power plants which are harmful to breathing because they can damage the airways, causing irritation of the walls of the tubes and blocking the smooth passages in the lungs. Methods:This research is an observational study with the study method of Environmental Health Risk Analysis. The location of this research is in the area of the PT. DSSP in Konawe Selatan District. The population is 2,723 people and the human sample is 337 respondents usingClustersampling. While environmental samples (air) were divided into 4 locations where air concentration measurements were carried out in the morning, afternoon and evening. Results:The average sulfur dioxide intake of respondents at point 1 has a mean of 0.0101, at point 2 has a mean of 0.0084, at point 3 has a mean of 0.0105, and at point 4 has an average of 0.0101. Meanwhile, the respondent's risk level for sulfur dioxide RQ&gt; 1 was 5 people. Conclusion:Risk is influenced by body weight, rate of inhalation, time of exposure, frequency of exposure, duration of exposure. Risk management is carried out by reducing exposure time, planting trees that can absorb air pollution, maintaining endurance, implementing safe residential locations from the center of the factory which should be above 2.5 km.
