The transverse relaxation time of noble-gas atoms in nuclear-magnetic-resonance gyroscopes is a very important indicator for measuring the gyroscope’s performance. In this paper, the optimized free-induction-decay method, together with fitting-ratio method and magnetic-resonance-broadening method in the rotating coordinate system, is analyzed for the first time, in order to accurately measure the transverse relaxation time. An experimental device was designed, and the transverse-relaxation-time measurements were carried out by using these three methods under specific conditions. The advantages of these three methods are analyzed by comparison of experimental process and experimental results. The influence of pump-light intensity on the transverse relaxation time of noble-gas atoms is further studied on this basis, and verified through experiments.
