Use of pedagogical technologies in language teaching

Relevance. The relevance of the research is conditioned by the fact that the problem of education quality has always been in the foreground of interest of both scientific workers and pedagogical practitioners, and today in Uzbekistan and all over the world, the quality of education is considered as the most important factor for achieving sustainable development of the country, ensuring its technological, economic, informational and moral security.Purpose. In this regard, this article is aimed at studying pedagogical technologies in language teaching in educational institutions, which are necessary for the implementation of interpersonal interaction and communication in the process of intercultural communication.Methodology. The leading methods of research of this problem are the methods of analysis, classification, induction and deduction, generalization and comparison of approaches, which will help to identify and highlight the main traditional and innovative pedagogical technologies in education and pedagogy.Results. The article reveals the importance of competence development through the use of advanced pedagogical methods in foreign language classes; shows the peculiarities of using innovative approaches in teaching English and German as a second foreign language in higher education; reveals problem-oriented learning and adaptive technologies; demonstrates the factors and methods of using pedagogical technologies in the learning process; shows the implementation of competence-based and personal-activity approach with the implementation of the pedagogical technologies in the learning process.Conclusions. The materials of the article are of practical and theoretical value for pedagogy, linguistics and teaching methodology, where the discussion of improving the effectiveness of education and language learning is important.

Problematika Rendahnya Mutu Pendidikan di Indonesia

Education has an important role in human life. Because good education will produce good quality human resources so that with good human resources, the progress of the country will be better and develop. This research uses the literature review method. The results of this study show that the problems of education quality in Indonesia are very diverse. The problem of the quality of education in Indonesia can be seen in terms of the quality of a teacher related to teacher welfare and student achievement, education equity, and curriculum changes. Judging from the quality of teachers in Indonesia, most of whom are considered unprofessional in teaching due to inadequate teacher welfare, which has an impact on low student achievement. In terms of education equality where infrastructure facilities and equality of education play an important role in improving the quality of teachers and students, then in terms of curriculum changes that which are currently always changing following changes in the government cabinet which makes there is no definite provision in the basis of an education in Indonesia.

Manajemen Peningkatan Mutu Madrasah di Pondok Pesantren Nurmadani NW Montong Lisung

The low quality of education in Indonesia is actually a discussion that has existed for a long time, but until now the problem of education quality has not been resolved. Quality education is the hope and demand of all education stakeholders. Everyone will certainly prefer to study at institutions that have good quality. On this basis, madrasas/educational institutions must be able to provide good service and quality so that they are not left behind and are able to compete with other institutions. This study used a qualitative approach, data were collected by interviews and observations with documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data condensation, data presentation and data verification. This research resulted in (1) Quality improvement management planning at the Nurmadani NW Montong Lisung Islamic Boarding School based on national education standards, but in this study it only examined one of these national education standards, namely education staff standards. (2) The organization of quality improvement management at the Nurmadani NW Montong Lisung Islamic Boarding School is in accordance with the organizational structure because each administrator works according to their respective duties and functions. (3) Motivation in carrying out quality improvement management at the Nurmadani NW Montong Lisung Islamic Boarding School by fostering mastery of the material, mastering the media, improving teacher quality, and providing media is a form of motivational encouragement carried out by the head of the madrasa to his teachers and giving rewards or awards to principals and teachers who carry out their duties properly. (4) the valuation at the Nurmadani NW Montong Lisung Islamic Boarding School is carried out through work meetings or deliberations which are held every 6 months and at the end of the school year involving all concerned at the Islamic boarding school.

Education Quality Problems in Using Distance Learning Technologies

The article deals with the process in distance learning in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as one of the main parameters for introducing digital literacy development at the tertiary level. Buketov Karaganda University has been taken as the research site for data collection and analysis of quality distance learning. The authors have revealed the devices used by students in distance learning, the amount of available educational materials, the positive aspects of online teaching. At the same time, the paper aims at identifying the problems of distance learning in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), electronic library resources. The analysis proved the effectiveness of distance learning at the university. It suggests some assumptions on the improvement of distance learning and education technology based on the survey results among students and teaching staff. It is believed that the development of distance education and their technologies will enable HEIs to meet students’ demands and rights to quality education. It will allow anyone to receive bachelor degree and professional engagement simultaneously

Therefore, the main issues considering financing the education sector, the existence of educational corruption, and the problems of education quality are among the issues that exist in every region undergoing economic change, hence they are considered universal issues.

Comparing and Analysis of Geospatial Interpolation Prediction Algorithm: Case Study The Quality of Education of Malang and Batu City, Indonesia

Abstract. The number of schools in Indonesia continues to grow. This must also be balanced with improving the quality of education in accordance with the objectives of the 4 SDGs, which as a whole are to improve the quality of education that is inclusive, equitable and provides lifelong learning opportunities. However, until now it is very difficult to determine differences in the quality of education in an area. From the problem of education quality and education equity, it is necessary to have a regional analysis of the quality of education. This analysis can be performed using various geospatial interpolation methods. Geospatial Interpolation is a technique to find the value of a missing variable in a known data range in an area. The data used for the Geospatial interpolation process in this study are School Quality data taken through research questionnaires, as well as school accreditation data at the junior high school level. The geospatial interpolation method used in this study is the Inverse Distance Weighted, Spline, Kriging and Natural Neighbor methods. The use of different interpolation methods can indicate the best method for this research case study. Measurement validation results from each geospatial interpolation method using RMSE. From the results of this accuracy validation, the most accurate method will be obtained in determining the quality of education contained in an area.

This journal focuses on the Quality of Educational Institutions through Quality Management in Schools. The problem of education quality is one of the central issues in national education, especially related to the low quality of education at every level and education unit, especially in primary and secondary education. Realizing this, the government has made various efforts to improve the quality of national education, including through various trainings and improving the quality of teacher competencies, procuring books and learning media, improving educational facilities and infrastructure, and improving the quality of school management. So that the concept of "Quality Control Cluster" (TQM) emerged or also called the Quality Control Circle (QCC). In line with the flow of globalization, the term TQM or QCC is increasingly being used as an approach in the effort towards TQM or integrated quality management. A quality management system is a set of documented procedures and standard practices for system management aimed at ensuring the conformity of a process and product to specific needs or requirements.

International perception on student efficiency in Kazakhstan’s educational system

The aim of this paper’s background is to show how Kazakhstan’s educational system has changed over the last 30 years of independence, demonstrating modern transformative processes. We also de- fined the goal of establishing the educational level as part of a competence-based approach. Reference analysis, questioning, and experimental work were used as methods. The following are the outcomes: Education quality problems have been revealed, according to the results of a review of Kazakhstan’s state system of vocational education. At this stage of the educational system’s development, it is clear that the concept of learning outcomes in terms of the commitment to competence is critical. The Re- public of Kazakhstan’s recommendations on education quality assurance are made in the context of a competence-based approach. The paper’s innovation is that accuracy issues are considered in the con- text of VET (vocational education and training) and higher education, and each method’s good experi- ence is recommended to be included.As part of the research, a survey of students was conducted on the basis of the Abai KazNPU. 100 respondents took part in the survey. The poll showed that 88% of respondents consider the training system insufficiently consistent with modern standards.All of these issues can be resolved by strengthening the National Qualifications Network in accor- dance with the principles of the European Qualifications Network.Key words: competences, learning outcomes, technical education, National Qualifications Network.

Проблемы дистанционного образования в контексте философии личностного образования

Analyzed is experience of distance education in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. In the context of education quality problems, attention is drawn to the inability of most students to organize their independent work and low motivation for independent mastering of the specialty. Meanwhile, under conditions of rapid development of technologies, rapidly changing economic conditions, flexible and timely planning in the context of overcoming the production crisis, specialists, who possess modern technologies in a narrow field, programming languages and the skills of working on specific equipment, are required. But, at the same time, employers are interested in well-educated and big-minded professionals, for example, crisis managers. Graduates should have broad knowledge that allows them to quickly adapt to new requirements, independently choose and master new professions in the future, receiving necessary education, navigate growing flows of information, strive for self-education and self-development, which should be based on the motivation of independent learning. The article focuses on the role of humanitarian knowledge, mastery of which is the basis for self-education and self-development. The definition of the concept of “philosophy of personal education” as a system of thinking in which the principles of philosophy of education are projected onto a personal assessment of one’s own physical, intellectual, spiritual, moral and ethical potential as a foundation for self-education and self-development is given. On the basis of philosophy of personal education, abilities, intellectual and creative potential of the individual are realized and a clear motivation for the need to master a particular specialty and self-improvement in this area is determined.

The content of the concept “quality of education” and the definition of methods to measure it

The concept “quality of education” is widely used in modern educational practice; however, in teaching, there is no common understanding of the pedagogical phenomenon that underlies this concept. In this regard, it is necessary to present reflections on the content of such terms as “education” and “quality” in relation to the cultural and historical prerequisites for the formation of the category “quality of education” and various approaches to its content. Besides, the article touches upon different approaches to the procedures for measuring the quality of education and distinguishes their strengths and weaknesses. The authors encourage the reader to think about the problems of defining the quality of education as a pedagogical phenomenon in modern conditions through cultural and historical traditions. The study results in the consideration of various aspects of the evolution of such terms as “quality” and “education” in Russian pedagogy, which have influenced the modern interpretations of the concept “quality of education” and the approaches to its measurements. The article reveals the advantages of a practical understanding of the quality of education, as well as the risks associated with the transformation of education into a service and the absolutization of its quantitative parameters in measuring the quality of education. The authors raise the questions that remain open and require their solution despite the continued interest in the problems of education quality in pedagogical theory and practice. The novelty of the research is provided by taking into consideration Russian cultural and historical traditions of the formation of such terms as “education” and “quality” and the justification of the possible ways of their use in modern approaches to the measurements of quality of education, as well as the justification of the importance of using the applied aspect of the quality of education in Russian educational practice.

The quality of professional education in the context of today's challenges (the example of future railway transport specialists education)

The article reveals the essence of the definition of "quality of education". The essence of notion is analyzed, based on the conceptual foundations of professional education reform. The components of modern professional education are decentralization of management and funding; social partnership in the field of professional education and training and the labor market; quality of professional education. The system model of railway transport specialists education is built and substantiated.
 The problem of education quality in global European dimension is analyzed. The quality of education today is seen as a process and as a result. On the one hand, the "quality of education" is a process that meets human needs for knowledge and demands of society. On the other hand, "quality of education" is the result of educational institutions activities which allows to assess the level of pupils, students (future specialists) education in accordance with the requirements of educational standards, curricula, etc.
 The necessary steps to be taken to ensure the quality of higher (professional higher) education are considered and analyzed. The main components of the quality of education are considered and studied. The structure of the definition of "quality of education" is built and substantiated from the standpoint of a systematic approach. The role of monitoring the quality of education is revealed and their functions in professional training and in the educational process are singled out: ascertaining, controlling, strategic.
 The essence of qualimetry as a science is revealed, which allows to quantify the quality of objects, things, processes, phenomena. The principles of qualimetric science (quality as a synthesis of properties of the studied object or phenomenon; satisfaction of specific needs of an individual or society; degree of satisfaction of needs; specific units of measurement; absolute indicators from experimental results; calculation of relative indicators; weighting factor of each property of the studied object or process, comprehensive quantitative quality assessment).
 Analysis of the qualimetric model for assessing the quality of education in college was built and carried out (on the example of the Kyiv College of Transport Infrastructure).

К вопросу о целесообразности обращения к «компетентностному подходу» и «компетентностной модели» выпускника высшей школы

The present study focuses on the problem of education quality in the modern world: as the contemporary social order reflects the transformation of many countries, including Russia, from industrial to post-industrial, information society. Consequently, the requirements for a specialist and his professional training are changing. In modern market conditions, professionalism, professional experience, the foundations of which are laid in the university, are considered factors in the competitiveness of a young specialist. The article explores the problem of a competency-based approach to teaching, which was introduced not as a recommendation, but as a new paradigm, the observance of which is mandatory when training specialists in higher education (as well as secondary schools). The purpose of the article is to consider the essential characteristics, complexity, and versatility of the concept of competency, about which a great deal of information has been accumulated in both foreign and Russian scientific research, but neither here nor there knowledge of competence has been conceptualized. The authors demonstrate that in the practice of education the use of the form in which the competencies “knowledge, skills and expertise” exist now is not so different from the former orientation to Knowledge, Abilities, Skills (KASs). This is because the way they are spelled out in competences and recommended for implementation is more like a formal approach than a focus on development.

Quality of education as a requirement of modern society

The aim of the work is to study the compliance of the quality of education in Russia with the requirements determined by the needs of the Russian society. The article reveals the genesis of such categories as" quality of education "and"quality of products and services". The features of educational services as a public good in the forms of market relations are revealed. The structure and role of various consumers of educational services are defined separately, and a classification of the needs and requirements of consumers to the quality of education is proposed. In the course of the research, such methods as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, and statistical methods for studying the economic situation were used. The empirical base of the research is scientific works of Russian and foreign authors on the problems of education quality, National standards of the Russian Federation and International standards in the field of quality, the Federal law "on education in the Russian Federation", Federal state educational standards of the Russian Federation, official data of the Federal Treasury and the Federal state statistics service of the Russian Federation.

Experience of Quantitative Analysis of Students Questionnaires on Education Quality Problems: Methodology, Models and Perspectives

Introduction. The relevance of the article is determined by the lack of scientific substantiation of existing methods of quantitative analysis of mass student questionnaires that can lead to erroneous conclusions about the quality of educational services they receive. Authors first applied the in-house probabilistic approach to the preparation of data for mass questioning of students to develop regression and factor models that adequately reflect their subjective judgments about learning quality. Our goal was to estimate the efficiency and possibility of the practical application of the authors, approach to the analysis of student questionnaire results by means of multivariate statistics by the example of the development of the quantitative estimation model of education quality and subjective well-being of student s of Orel State Agrarian University. Materials and Methods. The suggested approach is based on the methods of parametrical multivariate statistics. The empiric basis of modeling consists of the results of questioning students of the 2nd-4th years of learning. The analytic software SPSS Base was used. Results. At the example of the development of correlation-regressive and factor models of the subjective well-being of the students, we proved the efficiency of the suggested approach to the quantitative modeling of questionnaire results by means of multivariate statistical methods. It is shown that all the obtained correlation-regression models have high statistical characteristics of quality and adequately reflect the simulated phenomena. Of particular interest is the model structure of factors of subjective well-being of students, reflecting the process of their professional and cultural development and adaptation to the current socio-political environment. Discussion and Conclusion. The completed study expanded the understanding of possibilities of quantitative analysis of the results of mass student questioning by simulating various aspects of their subjective wellbeing. The advantage of this method is that at modeling it allows considering the status features influence on the degree of the higher educational institution satisfaction and the obtainable education quality. The approach suggested by the authors will be useful in quality education monitoring at higher schools as well as in the educational sphere in general and for various social and economic studies.

Evaluation of Quality Policies on Education in Turkish Education System

It's aimed to evaluate the quality policies for education in Turkish National Educational System according to the opinions of the directors of departments for policies who are in charge at Ministry of National Educational and the projection of these policies on quality of education in this study. The study is designed as a qualitative research model and interview technique which is one of a technique of phenomenology model. Study group of this research which has used purposive sampling is consisted from all of the directors of educational polity departments who are in charge of General Directories within the Ministry of National Education. Data were analysed by content analysis in Nvivo 10 packet programme. It's found that the themes and codes that were revealed in the research show parallelism with system approach. It's come through that there are progresses both capacities of physical and quantitative aspects as decreasing the kind of schools, lowering the classrooms sizes and meeting the schools with FATIH project according to the research. Despite of these founding it's also determined that quality problems in education are still keeping on. It's determined that there are many things to do especially performing theoretical quality policies; progressing of capacities of administration, teachers and programmes, applying administrative processes; proceeding on learning capacity of the students; providing of democratisation and participation and providing equality in opportunities. In addition, it has been determined that the lack of integrity in communication and coordination during the polity setting and implementation process negatively influences the system. It has been reached that the directors of polity departments deal with organizational change in the context of shaping and doing with legislation and regulations. It's suggested that hierarchical centralized structuring and distance that caused by high power have caused obstacle for transparency and participation; continuous changing and intervention abraded the system and reduced the quality of education.

ИССЛЕДОВАНИЕ ФАКТОРОВ, ВЛИЯЮЩИХ НА ВЫБОР ПРОФЕССИИ И УСПЕШНОСТЬ ОБУЧЕНИЯ СТУДЕНТОВ ПО НАПРАВЛЕНИЮ ПОДГОТОВКИ «ПЕДАГОГИЧЕСКОЕ ОБРАЗОВАНИЕ», СРЕДСТВАМИ СТАТИСТИЧЕСКОГО АНАЛИЗА

The problems of education quality are constantly attracting attention, since it plays a huge role in the development of human society. Despite a wide range of works on improving the quality of training specialists at the current stage of the higher education reform, it can be noted that the problem of studying the factors affecting the academic success of university students is not fully understood. The article discusses the results of a questionnaire survey of the students specializing in “Pedagogical Education” on the choice of the profession of the teacher of mathematics and training at the university. Their analysis is carried out by statistical methods.

THE STRATEGY OF EDUCATION QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AS THE STRATEGY OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIETY, STATE AND INDIVIDUAL

Trying to justify the directions and factors of education quality improvement under the conditions of information society development and increase of competitiveness, the author tries to demonstrate that the development of society and state is based on innovations, innovative education and an innovative-creative-artistic individual that the higher school has to form. The article attempts to perform social diagnostics of higher education quality problems and to define the trends of development and improvement of education quality as innovative environment education, to analyze the problems of education quality in the context of society evolution from information society to “society of innovation”.

Remedial Teaching Practices in Secondary Schools of Northern Samar

The problem of poor quality in education has been traced to a number of causes, which include socio-economic factors, teacher-related factors, inadequate learning materials, and the short and congested school curriculum, among others. With this result, it is therefore imperative to organize remediation programs in low performing schools to address the needs of the learners to achieve desired learning outcomes and to enhance faculty’s teaching competence. The study determined the remedial teaching practices employed by secondary school teachers in both public and private schools in Northern Samar. It also found out the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the teachers and students and if there was a significant difference between the extent of practices of public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The descriptive-comparative method was utilized in the study using a researcher-made survey questionnaire as the primary instrument. The study was conducted in twenty (20) public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar selected based on the results of the National Achievement Test (NAT) from 2010 to 2011. Frequency counts, percentages, and weighted mean computations were used to analyze the data obtained. The t-test was used to test the difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices as perceived by the secondary teachers and students and the difference in the extent of remedial teaching practices among public and private secondary schools in Northern Samar. The remedial teaching practices of the secondary school teachers were rated “extensive” by both teachers and students. There was a significant difference between the perceptions of the secondary school teachers and the students on the extent of remedial teaching practices but there was no significant difference between the extent of remedial teaching practices of the public and the private secondary schools in Northern Samar.

Human capital theory, the diversity of societies and the problem of quality in education

Taking off from the “human capital theory” vs. “screening theory” debate, the paper seeks to distinguish at least ten different causal strands which potentially enter the explanation of the commonly observed correlation between earnings and educational qualification. Debates on this issue are commonly vitiated by two factors: (i) the failure to distinguish between mechanisms which operate in fluid market situations and those which operate in bureaucratized economies with administered careers, (ii) the assumption that there can be a universally valid answer to the question “Why do earnings and certificates correlate?” Various institutional and historical factors cause considerable differences in the relative importance of the ten linking mechanisms in different countries. Of the greatest importance is one general difference between early and late developers. Schools in developing countries are generally less effective in fostering the sort of mental attitudes and abilities which conduce to economic development chiefly because, for a variety of reasons, schooling is more examination-oriented than in richer countries. These crucial aspects of the quality of education are too often overlooked, presumably for reasons which have to do with the nature of the economics and educational professions.
