New tendencies in the digital transformation of the world economy

Main problem: processes of economic modernization in practical solution should reveal common understanding between institutional, legislative and industrial relations, essence of organizational transformations, formulation of basic provisions for instrumental support of independent transition of technological processes to new round of socio‑economic relations. Processes should be based on new characteristics of standardization, methodology of system functioning, technical conditions, norms, rules, instructions and regulations, which provides for institutional changes. Purpose: to explore new trends in digital transformation of the world economy, as well as to show that tasks and settings of vector of technological processes of digital economy go far beyond known principles of economic development, joining the mainstream of global trends. Methods: theoretical and methodological basis was concepts, hypotheses and theories presented in works of domestic and foreign researchers. The methodology is based on systematic approach, in which methods of comparative, factorial, subject-object, structural-functional, statistical, correlation analysis and extrapolation were applied. Results and their significance: analytical review of theoretical approaches of foreign economists on this problem was carried out, which allowed author to identify theoretical, methodological and applied foundations for determining directions within framework of state strategy for planning socio-economic development. Scientific discussion on conditions for changing model of economic development, modernization of economy with transition to first and second generation platforms, hereinafter referred to as ecosystems, is evaluated. The fundamental differences between theoretical argumentation of proponents of promoted digital technologies and their opponents are determined. Positions of argumentation of impact on change of driving factors are analyzed in order to adjust methods of state policy and choice of vector of technological processes. The question of correlation of macroeconomic theory in evolutionary sense, which goes beyond known principles of economic thought of digital transformation, is considered.

Numerical simulation of polymer flooding in water flooding reservoir

Different influencing factors in the process of polymer flooding have different degrees of influence on the development effect, so it is necessary to carry out the dynamic prediction of polymer flooding before implementing the development scheme. In this study, the reservoir model of C Block is established and the production performance is fitted. The fitted reservoir model is used to study the influence of polymer concentration, injection time, injection rate multiple and injection timing on the development effect of C Block. The results show that the cumulative oil production increases gradually with the increase of polymer concentration, and combined with the principle of economic development, there is an optimal polymer concentration in C Block, which is 0.15 wt%; With the increasing of injection time and injection rate multiple, the cumulative oil production and incremental oil production (compared with water flooding) show an increasing trend; For injection timing, the earlier polymer injection is more conducive to obtaining higher cumulative oil production and oil increment. The cumulative oil production under the optimal development scheme of C block is 23.8494×104 m3, which is 1.5042×104 m3 higher than that of water flooding.

Management of the innovative activity of the enterprises in investment-based construction industry

The study is devoted to scientific provisions and principles of economic development of construction organizations in modern conditions. Based on the study of the theory of economic development, a retrospective analysis of the cyclical nature of construction production, the main factors and directions of their interaction are systematized. Economic and mathematical modeling of the real economic development of construction production was carried out. New approaches to assessing and ensuring the effective functioning of construction organizations are proposed, including substantiation of the target setting of the organization's activities, classification of factor space multidimensional statistical analysis, determination of the optimal ratios of the main technical and economic indicators that ensure the financial and economic stability of construction organizations. The developed models of innovative development of a construction organization are based on increasing the level of total resource productivity. It has been proven that there is a close relationship between the level of economic development and the financial sustainability of a construction organization. An increase in the level of innovative activity in construction production leads to an increase in the financial strength of the organization. The revealed relationship gave the basis to form an algorithm for managing the innovative development of a construction organization on the basis of structure regulation of production costs. The forms and methods of stimulating the economic growth of construction organizations have been substantiated, which consist in improving the system of relations between the participants in the investment process being a significant reserve for economic growth.

TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES IN THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM OF FOOD INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Introduction. Against the background of the destruction of rules and principles of economic development that existed during the Soviet Union, and the struggle for independence, Ukraine has entered a period of profound transformation in all areas of the economy as a whole and individual economic entity. The new level of relations with the external environment and the consequences of the global economic crisis required urgent changes in the form of ownership of production facilities, principles of foreign economic activity, system of state control and taxation, monetary system, approaches to investment and innovation mechanisms. The purpose of this article is study of the causes of transformation processes in the system of food industry enterprises and substantiation of the peculiarities of their development in the conditions of reforming the agricultural sector of the country's economy. Results. The results of the study show that the prerequisites for transformations in the national economy as a whole and in particular, can be structured as follows: reforming the management system of the economy of the post-Soviet space in order to build market relations, the consequences of which make changes to the financial and economic system of the enterprise; Ukraine's integration into international cooperation, focus on EU cooperation, which is an impetus for innovative transformations; the purpose of entrepreneurial activity, which is an incentive to search for new ideas and transformation of business policy. Conclusions. The real preconditions which are an impetus for transformations of the enterprise are defined, namely: the consequences of global economic crises of the period of independence of Ukraine, which require the search for effective mechanisms for their elimination or leveling; reforming the management system of the economy of the post-Soviet space in order to build market relations; European integration and the processes of globalization that stimulate innovative development and related transformations; the goals and objectives of the business of a modern enterprise, which is an incentive to seek new ideas and transform business policy. The tragedies of a state dominated political economy: shared vices among the imperial, Derg, and EPRDF regimes of Ethiopia

ABSTRACT Conventional accounts of the Ethiopian political economy either neglect the combined effects of shared political vices across various regimes or treat them separately. This essay, based on informed analytical tools of power and property, tends to explore the basic anatomy of the Ethiopian political economy by exploring the shared vices across the three regimes in Ethiopia: Last Empire, first republic and second republic. Seen in this light, the study identified that, though different regimes come up with varied official policy statements and appear to be better than the other, the empirical realities speak of an opposite story. In shaping the nature, structure, power, and principle of economic development, the three governments have been taking a draconian position, suppressing the private sectors and intervening in the rural economy exploitatively. The shared vices of state domination overall development matters have brought the society under the converging tragedies of poverty, Neo-Malthusian crisis, migration, de-peasanization through dispossession and displacement. Based on this, the study argues that people have to own development narratives and ultimate decision-making power to better design the development skeleton and to guarantee themselves a positive teleological development discourse.

About Economic Agent Reputation Value and Role in Modern Conditions of Management (Regional Aspect)

The established system transformations in the mechanisms and the principles of economic development, based mainly on the dominant role of human capital, the rapidly increasing importance of intangible production factors, etc., form a new layer of opportunities for an effective use of potential, social and economic growth of territories. These capabilities should include the reputation of economic entities, regardless of their territorial, economic, social, institutional scale, etc. This article outlines the main arguments and the grounds that actualize the role and the importance of reputational economy in the current economic conditions. The study was implemented with the emphasis on the territorial aspect, which is reflected in the authors’ attempt to reveal the categories under study through the prism of regional analysis. Within a comprehensive review of various approaches to the category of "reputational economy", they made an attempt to interpret the concept in the author’s way, largely based on institutional analysis tools and approaches. Meanwhile, it should be noted that the study touches upon only a small part of reputational economy problematics study. Let’s note a number of fundamental and applied issues that need to be solved and require additional research, since most of them are not affected in the scientific space either partially or completely at the current time.

Cultural Heritage Management and Economic Development Programmes: Perspectives from Desert Fringes Where IGOs and NGOs Have No Locus

The range of organizations involved in some way with cultural heritage management stand in proxy for an equally wide range of concerns and viewpoints. While these viewpoints differ considerably in detail, we suggest that a fundamental objective of all these organizations is to ensure that an appropriate kind and degree of cultural heritage work occurs within development contexts. The last twenty years has witnessed such progress in the underlying principles of economic development (in ‘developed’ or ‘developing’ world countries) that the notion of heritage and economic development as equally necessary in order for a sustainable future is shared by all the major participants. We explicitly include the ‘developers’ as a participant in cultural heritage management. Our experience is that private companies sponsoring development are rarely opposed to undertaking heritage work, although they desperately want clear guidance on what this work is supposed to entail. Both heritage and development organizations have a valuable role to play in promoting sustainable economic development, but our experiences in the very differing desert fringes of Senegal and Mongolia suggests that neither alone, nor the two in concert, are truly effective, and that the role of individuals and organizations acting with professional and ethical responsibility is pivotal in this endeavour.
